《Whatever》Chapter 26

His hot breath sent shivers from my neck when I realized how close he was and his scent made me dizzy by his closeness. Getting a grip, I quickly got out of his grip and felt my knees buckle but stood firm while shouting, "What the fuck Carter! Get it through your head would you? No, rather get it through your penis." I said changing my mind while staring at his boner in disgust. He said in a husky voice, "You know why I'm like this." Baffled, I said while looking at him confused, "No, I don't." He took a step forward while I held my ground, not backing down from his stare.
"Your scent." he mumbled. I raised my left eyebrow and said, "So?" Then, he pinned me against the wall and kept my chin up so that I looked in to his eyes which was as dark as an abyss. The next thing he said made me struggle against his grip, although my wolf and body was against with my doing so. He mumbled while kissing my neck and keeping me in place, "You're in heat Jesse."
"Okay, so do you mind getting off please?" I said while struggling. He tightened his hold on me while continuing his torture which I don't understand as to why it is when I've never had anyone do this to me before. He said while growling, "No." Annoyed and trying to keep my breathing steady, I raised my hand to slap him but he caught it with his as he eyed my lack of clothing. Feeling my cheeks blushing, I said, "My eyes are up here doofus." His eyes snapped up to mine as he said while smirking, "So?" My jaw dropped in outrage as I said while struggling even more, "Pervert! Now let me go! You rejected me so let go you fucktard!" He froze suddenly and not caring why, I took it as my chance to bolt to my closet. Panting for an odd reason, I locked it shut and leaned against it while my body trickled with sweat.

"Jess? Please, unlock the door." he pleaded beyond the door. Scoffing, I picked out a big white t-shirt and a pair of black tights, ignoring him. "Please Jesse. With you in heat," he stopped while I just blurted out, "So what? You don't care, remember? Do the words rejected still not ring a bell?" He let out a growl and then, silence.
Did he finally get the message?
Then my closet door was kicked down and there stood Carter with anger radiating off of him in waves. I groaned while glaring at him, "Why are you so persistent?" Then before he spoke I put my hand up and said, "And don't you dare say it's because I'm your mate." He stared at me with his fist clenched then suddenly his eyes darkened and he pinned me against a wall once more so hard I almost saw black dots.
"You are my mate whether you like it or not." his voice growling and low. Shit, his wolf is out. "Yes I am your mate. Just not Carter's. So leave me alone and get out off my territory." I bited and growled back. His wolf growled back and said, "Do not challenge me." I scoffed and continued to struggle around his grip, "Like hell I won't." Then his wolf snarled at me and did the unthinkable.
He marked me.
By force.
When he pulled back, my eyes widened as I realized what he did. Well, what his wolf did, but he still had no right. As his eyes turned back to his blue-green colour, they widened with guilt and regret as he stammered out, "Jess, I- My wolf-" I cut him off by whispering, my body trembling with anger, "Get out."
He stepped back, knowing that I needed my space and left. My legs buckled underneath me as a tear fell from my eyes while I just continued to realized that I just got marked by force from my rejected mate. I don't know how long I sat there and when did I fall asleep; all I could remember was the shock and pain of what Carter did.

Mum told me how dad marked her, and of course I argued back as to why did she let it happen and she shrugged and smiled at me while saying, "Even I don't know why I agreed to it Jess. It just happened. Though I hope you get marked in a better way meaning, not in a classroom." I gave a disgusted look to my mum when I realized how horny she and dad must've been when they were in their teenage years.
It was not pleasant to think about.
When I woke up, I was in my bed and my head was pounding. I sat upright slowly with a hand on my forehead as I tried to adjust my eyesight to my surroundings. When my eyes were already focused, I didn't know whether having my breath taken away was a good thing or a bad thing. Looking to my left, I saw a note on my bedside table and picked it up. Without thinking, I opened it and read it.
I'm sorry Jesse.
-Carter
I looked up from the note and looked at all the different varieties of roses in my room. Pinks, blues, purples, yellow, they filled my room with their scent. I scowled at them with disgust. Sure it did touch my heart but the last time he gave me a rose it was after he rejected me.
I checked my phone that was in my bedside drawer and saw that Grey left a text saying he'll be out today. Letting out a sigh, I guessed that I would be the only one attending to the bonfire I was planning to do later. An hour later, I was at my backyard and was about to set fire to the roses when, "Hey Jess!" cried Kya with a smile as she ran towards me. I set down the matches and turned to her to give a strained smile. She said while approaching me when she was close, "Sorry I didn't visit you, I had, mate issues." I laughed and said while picking up the matches and mumbled to myself, "Join the club." Just as I flicked the match, I dropped it in to the pile when Kya asked the question I'd been dreading.
"Why do you smell different Jess?"
