《Whatever》Chapter 19

I just stared at him shell-shocked then blurted out, "Pinch me I must be dreaming." He looked at me confused then considered it as he walked over while shrugging but instead of pinching me, he leaned down and kissed me. My eyes widened in shock as his lips moved gently against mine. Fates, I have never...
Then Carter pulled away all too soon while smirking at my expression. I just stared at Carter in shock but then, I screamed while backing further away on my bed, "What the fuck Carter! What the hell are you doing in my room in nothing but a towel!" I panicked and started to blush wondering what else happened while I was out. He raised his eyebrows, confused. "You don't remember what happened?" I blurted out angrily, "Other than the fact you stole my first kiss, no!" He looked taken aback at what I said but then he started to smirk slowly.
Shit. I shouldn't have said that.
He looked at him intensely as he said in a quiet voice with a smirk still on his face, "First kiss?" My eyes widened but then I scoffed out while trying to hide my flush, "That doesn't matter right now. Explain wha-" He cut me off, "I'm your first kiss Jess?" His smirk still present and growing by the second. My eyes widened even more while I covered my face which was blushing with my hand and stuttered out, "I-It-" I gritted my teeth as I cut myself off. Then I felt the bed dip beside me and shivered as I felt his fingers grabbed my chin gently to face him. "Well Jess?" I pressed my lips into a thin line but as I did that, "Ah ah ah Jess. Don't do that or else." I said without thinking, "Or what?"
He kept on smirking as he leaned down towards my neck and started trailing soft kisses on it. Then he reached a spot between my neck and shoulder which made me stiffle a moan. He mumbled against my neck, still teasing the same spot, "Well Jess?" I closed my eyes trying to contain the moans attempting to escape through my lips. Then when I felt his canines elongate and started to tease me, I woke up screaming.

My door was slammed opened by a still sleepy Grey who was holding a vase and slurring out, "What? Who's here! I have a bat and I'm not afraid to use it!" Seeing Grey here, with a dark green shirt on and a pair of boxers while swaying side to side and still threatning absolutely nobody, made me laugh till tears spilled down my cheeks. "What in fates name is going on here!" shouted a sleepy Rose who was confused as to why Grey was standing before my bed and swinging around the vase like a mad man. I choked out with tears still falling, "He thought someone was in here!" Then I choked out some more, "And said that he had a bat to hurt the intruder with!" Then I started to roll on my bed while laughing till my stomach started to cramp. Rose looked at me like I was crazy but then after looking at Grey she started to chuckly softly then laugh loudly while clutching her sides.
After who knows how long, the laughs subsided and Grey was fully awake and was pouting at us. "I thought there was an intruder Jess! God! The least you could do is be thankful that I wanted to help you! Next time you scream, I'm just gonna walk away and let you handle it." I just smirked at him and said sarcastically, "Sure you will."
"Uh, Jess?" Rose said while turning to me with wide eyes. I raised my eyebrows in question. She said in a worried voice, "Do you smell that?" I gave a confuse look but then I realize the scent that was starting to send me warning signals and making goosebumps appear on my arms.
Blood.
I scrambled out of bed and ran to where the scent was leading me. Soon, I reached the foyer but there was something that shouldn't be there. As I went down each step, my heart kept pounding louder and louder until I thought my cousins could hear it. I stopped walking then looked around with wide eyes. The walls were covered with blood and scratches as well as handprints and pawprints on the floors. In the middle of the floor, there was a piece of paper which had smudges of blood and was torn at the edges. As I stepped down the last step of the stairs, I walked towards the letter with caution. As I step carefully over the puddles of blood, I could smell the scent of rogue coming from the note which I reached down to pick up. When I read it, my blood turned cold. "What does it say Jay?" asked Grey with fear in his voice. I handed him the note without looking at him or talking as my throat felt like someone was wrapping their hands around it. Both of them looked up slowly from reading as the note slid from Grey's hands. The words were still clear in my mind and kept a stabbing feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I have found you after all these years mate. You will be mine Jesse.
After a few moments of silence, Rose blurted out, "This has to be a joke right Jess! Your mate is Carter or was since the rejection. This makes no sense whatsoever! And this is coming from me who makes no sense at all! I mean, is it possible Jess?" She took a deep breath then continued in a scared voice, "That you have a second mate?" I swallowed as I said tightly, "There's no such this as a second mate Rose and you know it. Only pure white wolves could have them and that's as rare as me saying 'I hate skateboarding." Grey asked while trying to recover his voice, "But then, what does this mean Jay? And what should we do! Should we tell our parents?" I replied, "Their on a cruise Grey. Do you really want to worry them when they are finally able to relax themselves from pack problems and training?" Then I turned around swiftly and said with authority, "We will keep this between us and the pack members who I will need to help us solve this. We won't tell our parents. We will let them enjoy themselves. Agreed?" They looked at each other unsure but then they turned back to me and replied while looking determined, "Agreed."
The next day, I called in Ryder as he was one of the strongest warriors in my pack. As I wanted some privacy, I told him to come alone. I met him at my driveway as he was walking up the steps, "What's up?" he asked while looking at me in question. I looked around cautiously then pushed him in the house and quickly closed the door. "Ok Jess wh-" He frozed up and his eyes started to darkened as a growl eminated from his throat. "Thought you might smell it for yourself and tell me." I told him with my arms crossed. Ryder turned around and his growl became louder as he looked around. I got confused by this point and asked, "Why are you growling?" His eyes snapped to mine as he replied, "You're the Alphas' daughter which would make your warriors, your guards, as your safety is a warriors concern. And if anything happens to your parents, you're the only one left to lead us as you're the only child of an Alpha." My head snapped back as I was impressed by what he said and replied, "Whoa. I'm actually impressed by what you said." He rolled his eyes at me and then turned back to look at the crime. He then walked to the center of the room where the note was and as he read it, he growled once again and asked while looking at me, "What do you need me to do Jesse?" I replied back, "Get me our best trackers and find the asshole who did this. I want him found and I want this to stay between us and the trackers you choose. Also, train the rest of the warriors."
I stopped talking then as the next part made my heart beat fast, "I want to make sure we're ready if these nimrods try to attack us."

Their directive, to bring life to this new world. Follow him, as he brings forth the knowledge his efforts awarded him, and pits it against his unprepared competitors, in a bid to be the first to create sentient life. This is my first full on story, and is mostly going to be a learning experience for me. It is going to be a story following the life of Arcius as a Dungeon God, with very few POV swaps, if any. If I make any errors, either in spelling or in grammer, please let me know, and I will endevour to correct them ASAP. I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this. I highly recommend that you read that story if you find this one interesting.
