"I got it!" Y/N yelled as she ran down the stairs to the front door with a lipstick in her hand.

She swung the door open with a huge smile on her face the second her eyes landed on her blue-eyed boyfriend, Isaac Lahey; dressed in black slacks, a white dress shirt under his black coat, which only brought out his blue eyes even more, and a tie. His brown curls were styled back with some gel. As good as he looked, Isaac was totally out of his comfort zone.

"Babe, I look like I just stepped out of the - the last period of a Catholic prep school." He groaned as he struggled to fix his tie. "I'm sweating all the way through my jacket. I didn't even know that I could sweat this much."

Y/N giggled as she pulled him in the foyer and closed the door with her foot. Isaac studied her features while she fixed and straightened out his tie. He admired how her eyebrows would crease forward and her top teeth bit into her lower lip as she concentrated. It's something he's noticed since they first started dating three months ago, whether it was trying to solve a math problem, trying to put something together, or fixing Isaac's tie. It was one of the many things he loved about her.

"There," she patted his chest with a warm smile on her face. "All fixed."

She closed her eyes and leaned forward. Isaac reacted quickly by pulling back, "are you serious right now?"

"What?" Y/N opened her eyes, clueless as to why her boyfriend didn't want to kiss her.

"I'm not going to kiss you." Isaac explained.

"Why not?" Y/N whined. "I didn't put on lipstick yet so I can kiss my boyfriend." She grabbed his collar and started pulling him down towards her lips.

"We're in your house..." Isaac pushed back again. "Filled with werewolves."

"So?"

"So, I don't exactly want to get my head ripped off by your dad." Isaac said nervously as his worried blue eyes roamed around the house, checking to see where her family was.

"Relax, babe. They're all outside." Y/N reassured her boyfriend. "Besides, they know we're dating. We are teenagers. I'm pretty sure they know we've already kissed before." She wrapped her arms around Isaac's neck.

"It's just-" Isaac sighed as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "I'm just nervous, and I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with them, especially when I'm meeting them for the first time. I want them to like me."

"You have nothing to worry about, babe. They're going to love you." Y/N closed her eyes as she leaned in to kiss Isaac.

Isaac was planning on just giving Y/N a quick and simple kiss, but that failed. He loved the way her lips were so soft and warm, which washed away the nerves he had just moments ago. Isaac tilted his head to deepen the kiss as his hand cupped her cheek, bringing her slightly closer to him. Y/N's hand slid through his silky and soft brown curls at the nape of his neck as her tongue traced the bottom of Isaac's lip, asking for permission. Isaac granted her wish and suddenly they were in a heated make-out session. They were so caught up in their own little world of just the two of them that they didn't even realize Y/N's little sister, Olivia, had walked in.

"Eww," Olivia said with a sour facial expression, causing Y/N and Isaac to jump away from each other. "That's gross."

Isaac shut his eyes tightly and let out a frustrated groan "Great, she's going to tell your father I was playing tonsil hockey with you," Isaac whispered to Y/N.

"Hey, Ollie," Y/N simply ignored Isaac and approached her little 6 year old sister. "This is my boyfriend, Isaac." Y/N took Olivia's tiny hand in hers and walked her over to Isaac. "Isaac, this is Olivia."

"Hi, Olivia." Isaac squatted down to be eye level with the small blonde haired girl. Isaac's blue eyes scanned her white sundress, which had different colored butterflies imprinted and wore with black sparking flats. "I like your dress."

"Thank you," Olivia smiled. "This one," she pointed at a small orange butterfly with her little finger, "is my favorite."

"Is it because orange is your favorite color?" Olivia nodded with a smile. "Does she have a name?" Isaac asked.

"His name is Herbert."

"My apologies, Olivia." Isaac smiled.

"It's okay." She smiled at Isaac one last time before tugging on the bottom of Y/N's dress. Y/N squatted down to Olivia, who leaned in to whisper, "he's cute."

Y/N pulled back with a smile on her face. "I think so too," she whispered back. "I think I'll keep him."

"Good," Olivia ran back into the direction she came from, her blonde curls bouncing with each step.

Y/N looked back at Isaac before walking over to the mirror to put her lipstick on. "See, you've already won my sister's heart. I'm sure you'll win over my parents' too."

"I doubt your parents will find me cute," Isaac chuckled as Y/N put on a bright red lipstick color on her top lip. Looking at the mirror, Isaac watched Y/N rubbed her lips together, causing her bottom lip to match the top, and continued, "I like her, though. She's funny."

"She's great," Y/N tucked her lipstick in the pocket of her dress and grabbed Isaac's hand. "Let's go introduce you to my parents."

Y/N dragged a very nervous Isaac to her backyard where her family was. It was a nice fall day as the sun was shining bright and there was a light breeze, making it a cool day. It was a beautiful and perfect day to have lunch outside.

Y/N introduced Isaac to her parents, where they shook hands and shared small talk, before sitting down to eat. This is when Isaac's nerves intensified and everyone sitting at the table could smell his anxiety. For a split moment, Isaac wished he could control his nerves or be sitting at a table surrounded by normal people with no werewolf senses.

"Isaac, would you like to say grace?" Y/N's father, Richard, asked.

"Daddy," Y/N warned.

"What?" He asked innocently. "I want to see what his beliefs are."

Isaac gulped and shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "Uh..." Isaac stuttered. "Not really a religious kind of guy." Isaac scratched the back of his neck.

"Either are we," Richard smirked, knowing he made Isaac extremely nervous. "Just wanted to see if you were."

Y/N's mother, Elizabeth, reached in for the mashed potatoes and handed them over to Isaac with a soft small, reassuring him he'll be okay.

As everyone began filling up their plates, Richard continued with his interrogation. "Isaac, Y/N tells me you're on the lacrosse team?"

"Yes, sir."

"He's really good, daddy." Y/N beamed as she gently squeezed his hand. "He made the winning goal in the last game."

"Is that right?" He asked.

"Yes, sir." Isaac repeated.

"I used to play basketball in high school. That was my sport."

"What position did you play?" Isaac asked, feeling a little more comfortable with this topic.

"Point guard. Starting varsity all four years." Richard smiled.

"That's amazing, sir. I just started varsity this year," Isaac shared.

"Would you mind if we came to a game?" Richard asked. "I don't think we've ever been to a lacrosse game."

"We didn't have a lacrosse team in my high school," Elizabeth added.

"What's lacrosse?" Olivia said with a mouth full of corn, earning a chuckle from everyone.

"Well, Olivia," Isaac started. "It's kind of like soccer but with a much smaller ball and some sticks."

"Oh, cool?" Olivia was still unsure about the sport.

Isaac looked back to Y/N's parents and answered Richard's question. "I wouldn't mind it at all, sir. Just let me know what game you want to go and I'll get you the tickets."

"You got a deal," Richard responded.

"Sounds like fun," Elizabeth added.

Isaac smiled. He had no idea what he was so worried about. Y/N's parents weren't at all intimidating. Sure, Richard was an alpha to his family pack, but aside from that, Isaac was confident the rest of the lunch date would go just fine.

"What's your take on sex in high school?" Richard bluntly asked, causing Isaac to choke on his food.

"Daddy!" "Richard!" Y/N and her mother exclaimed as Isaac reached for the glass of water after his coughing fit and drank it all to the last drop.

"What's sex?" Olivia asked.

"Nothing. Eat your peas, sweetheart," Elizabeth quickly answered, giving her husband the side eye.

"What? You're both teenagers with hormones," Richard's eyes flickered between an embarrassed Y/N with red cheeks and a nervous Isaac looking white as a ghost as he loosened the tie from his neck. "You're bound to want to find a way to scratch that itch."

"Oh my gosh, daddy," Y/N groaned. "Please stop talking."

"You're scaring the poor boy, Richard."

"Well good," Richard said sternly. "He needs to know if he ever pressures our baby girl into something she doesn't want, I'll rip his neck with my bare teeth."

Isaac finally cleared his throat. "I want you to know sir, I would never pressure your daughter into doing anything she doesn't want to do. I love her too much to do that."

The silverware dropped from Y/N's hand, and made a loud noise the second it collided with the plate, causing everyone to look at her.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Elizabeth asked as she saw her daughter's lips parted after a small gasped.

"Sugar, are you alright?" Richard asked.

Y/N ignored them, as her gaze never left Isaac. The small 'o' shape her lips formed disappeared and turned into a small smile. "You love me?"

Isaac's heartbeat began to pick up as a small blush rose in his cheeks. "Yeah, I do. I mean this isn't exactly how I wanted to tell you in front of your parents, let alone the first time I meet them, but I do." He rambled. "I had planned to tell you in a perfect moment kind of way, you know like in those cheesy movies you like to watch all the time. I would've gotten your favorite flowers, maybe even candles, but I didn't mean for it to slip out this way. I mean, I don't even know if you-"

Y/N interrupted his rambling. "I love you too, Isaac." She smiled.

Isaac's lips turned into a huge grin. Completely forgetting about her family sitting in from of him, Isaac leaned in for a kiss and quickly backed away the second he heard Richard clearing his throat, earning a playful slap from Elizabeth.

"Why did you have to ruin such a sweet moment for your daughter?" Elizabeth laughed as Y/N grabbed Isaac's hand under the table. He intertwined his fingers with hers, giving her a smile.

Before Richard could answer, Elizabeth's phone rang. "It's the hospital. I have to go in."

Richard nodded in understanding knowing she was on call. "Be careful, hon."

"I will," Elizabeth leaned in and pecked her husband's lips.

"Mommy, why don't you and daddy play tonsil hockey like Y/N and Isaac do?" Olivia asked, causing her mother to laugh and her father giving a death glare to Isaac. Isaac's head hung low mumbling to himself how he knew he shouldn't have kissed Y/N in her house and Y/N's cheeks grew red with embarrassment.

"Olivia," Richard voice was sharp. "Where did you hear that?"

"I walked in on them kissing and then Isaac said something about playing tonsil hockey with Y/N." Olivia explained before stuffing her face with a bread roll.

"Oh God," Isaac groaned, mentally slapping himself.

"I thought you didn't believe in God?" Richard asked.

Isaac began to get nervous again and looked back at Olivia. "You heard that?"

"I may be 6 and can't turn into a werewolf yet, but that doesn't mean I don't have my werewolf hearing already," she said with such sassiness.

"Relax, Richard," Elizabeth laughed. "They are teenagers with hormones." She patted her husband's shoulder, and then looked back at Isaac. "Isaac, it was lovely meeting you. I hope to see you again?"

"If he makes it out alive," Richard answered.

"No," Elizabeth said sternly. "I like him. More importantly, he loves our daughter. You hurt him, I'll hurt you." Elizabeth winked at Y/N who mouthed a 'thank you'.

"See," Y/N tugged Isaac's hand, gesturing him to look at her. Y/N locked her eyes with his and immediately his nerves washed away. The way she looked at him made him feel safe. "Nothing to worry about."

His lips formed a small smile, causing her to mirror the same action. "As long as you're by my side, I'll be okay." Isaac wanted nothing more than to kiss her, but instead he squeezed her hand once more. He could wait to kiss her until after the interrogation lunch.
