《teen wolf imagines ⭐️》an unexpected surprise - liam dunbar pt.4 (story)

Things changed over the past four months. Scott got his pack back, Theo was in hell, The Dread Doctors chaos was done with, and Scott had saved Hayden's life by giving her the bite. Things were looking up... Well, almost.
Liam and Y/N became closer, but the closer then got, the more distant he became with Hayden. Liam hadn't told his girlfriend he got his best friend pregnant, and he was lucky Hayden was still learning how to use her new werewolf senses, as she hadn't been able to pick up the baby's heartbeat. He was dreading to tell her, because, truthfully, he didn't know how to explain it to her since his relationship with Y/N had changed too.
Y/N wanted Liam to tell Hayden. She was tired of holding on to a secret, especially one that would most certainly hurt Hayden. She had no problem with Hayden. In fact, she liked her and how she treated Liam. She knew Hayden loved Liam, but she had a feeling that might change the longer Liam kept their secret from her. It was only a matter of time before she found out, especially since Y/N was starting to show.
"Ugh," she groaned as she noticed her baby bump had gotten a little bigger. The first two months she didn't have a bump. By the third month, she had the tiniest bump, but it was small enough to hide it with her clothes. Her shirts couldn't hide her bump now. She knew a hoodie would do, but only for so long before people would really start to notice.
She sighed as she ran a hand over her stomach before resting it under the bump. "I know it's a good thing, but do you think you could stop growing for a couple of more weeks?" She whispered. She heard a knock on the front door. She grabbed her backpack on her bed knowing it was Liam picking her up.
Outside, Liam shifted his weight from one foot to the other with the balls of his feet. He was nervous and excited at the same time. Today Y/N was four months pregnant and they would find out the sex of the baby after school. He was hoping for a boy, someone to teach lacrosse.
"Good morning!" Liam said with a huge smile the second Scott flung the door open. "Is she ready yet?" He asked eagerly.
Scott chuckled, sensing the joy and excitement radiating from his beta. "She's almost done getting dressed."
Stiles stood next to Scott. "Are you sure you don't want a ride to school today?"
Liam shook his head. "Walking is good for the baby."
Stiles shrugged his shoulder with a "suit yourself" look at Liam.
"Scott, can I barrow your lacrosse hoodie?" Y/N asked as she came down the stairs.
Liam's eyebrows furrowed together, hurt she didn't ask for his. "Why don't you want mind?"
Y/N gave him a knowing look. "Because I'm pretty sure your girlfriend would have a problem with that."
"Oh ***," Liam whispered as his eyes widened, suddenly remembering something.
"What?" Scott and Stiles ask in unison.
"She was supposed to pick up this morning and I forgot to cancel on her since I was picking you up," he explained as Y/N stood next to Scott.
"And I thought I was the one that was supposed to have pregnancy brain." Stiles snorted at Y/N's remark. Scott smiled as he handed her his hoodie.

"It just slipped my mind. I'm excited about today! We get to find out what we're having!" Liam's smile reached the corner of his eyes.
Y/N chuckled and shook her head. She looked down and noticed a brown paper bag in his hand. "Whatcha got there?" She asked before she put on the hoodie.
"Oh!" He lifted the bag up. "I made you a tuna egg sandwich for lunch. It's my mom's recipe and-"
"I think I'm going to be sick!" She said as a hint of bile made its' way up to her throat at the sound of two food items that had recently made her nauseous. She shook her head, thinking it was a false alarm, but it was too late. The strong smell of tuna and egg reached her nose and it had her running for the guest bathroom down the hallway.
Panic washed over Liam, not knowing what happened. "What-"
"Tuna and egg make her sick," Scott answered.
Liam's eyebrows furrowed. "That wasn't on the list of food items that make her nauseous."
Stiles shook his head. "It's new since last week."
Liam let out a frustrated sigh as he handed the bag to Scott and made his way to help Y/N. Stiles grabbed the bag and opened it. He pulled out the sandwich and unwrapped it from the foil. He took a big bite and groaned. "This is so good," he said with a mouth full.
Scott gave him a "seriously?" look.
"What? She's not going to eat it," Stiles said before he offered his best friend a bite.
The aroma of the sandwich, filled Scott's nose and it did smell good. He leaned forward and took a bite. He hummed in approval. "You're right. This is good." Scott gave him an "I told you so" look as he took another bite.
Liam knocked on the bathroom door and walked in after Y/N didn't answer. She was on her knees, leaning over the toilet as she threw up. Liam rushed to her side and grabbed her hair in a tight fist to keep it away from her face, as his other hand slid under her shirt and rest at the bottom of her lower back. He focused as he watched the veins in his arms then black, taking her pain away.
She let out a deep sigh when she finished. She pulled back and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand as she flushed the toilet. She sat on the floor and leaned her back against the tub. Liam leaned in and wiped the fallen tears on her cheeks before sitting next to her.
"In case you haven't noticed, egg and tuna make me sick. You should add that to your list." Liam nodded as a wave of sadness washed over him, which didn't go unnoticed by Y/N. "Hey, what's wrong, Liam?"
"I don't want to have to make lists, Y/N. I don't want Scott and Stiles to know you better than I do when it comes to your pregnancy. I'm the father. I should know these things..." he trailed.
Y/N sighed and grabbed his hand. "I'm sorry. I know it's hard, but I don't know what else to do."
"I do..." Liam trailed as he squeezed her hand before looking up at her. "You could move in with me."

Y/N laughed at the crazy idea, knowing there was no way his parents would let her move in with them. Y/N stopped laughing when Liam wasn't joining her. She saw the seriousness in his baby blue eyes.
"I talked to my parents about it and they're okay with it. I told them how I felt, how I hate missing out on all of these milestones during your pregnancy, and Scott and Stiles being there for you instead of me. I want to there for you, I want to be more involved. They understood and they're more than okay with it. They want to turn the guest bedroom into a nursery room for the baby."
"Liam-"
"It doesn't have to be just a nursery. It can be your room too. It's big enough for the both of you. Please?" Liam begged.
Y/N's heart sank. She hadn't realized Liam was feeling this way. Even though Liam had been involved, she wasn't surprised he wanted to be more involved. Her heart filled with warmth at how thoughtful he had been to go through the trouble of asking his parents to let her move in with them. She hadn't realized how much she wanted him around, to be there when the baby kicked for the first time, to tell his parents what foods not to bring home after grocery shopping because they make her sick, and to be there to hold her hand when she's scared, because although things were good, deep down she was still terrified.
"I'll make you a deal. I'll move in once you tell Hayden," she offered.
Liam let out a heavy sigh. "I need to tell her, don't I?"
Y/N nodded. "She deserves to know."
Liam nodded. "I know. I just know how it's going to end."
"Hey, you don't know that."
"Yeah, I do."
Before Y/N could say anything, Scott and Stiles yelled for them to hurry up or they would be late for school. Liam stood up and offered both his hands to Y/N, lifting her up effortlessly.
"I need to brush my teeth before we leave." Liam nodded in understanding. She looked down at Scott's hoodie and noticed it got it dirty. She pulled it off and threw it in the hamper. "Could you ask Stiles for his hoodie?"
"It's warm out. Why do you want a hoodie?" Liam asked confused.
Y/N sighed and looked down. "It's starting to really show with my shirts and I don't want people at school to know yet. I'm not ready for all the whisperings and name calling behind my back..." she trailed.
Liam sighed as he pulled her in for a tight hug, letting her know everything would be okay. She hugged him back, almost clinging on to him, not realizing how much she needed this. How much she needed him.
Liam pulled back and hesitated before reaching in to touch her belly. He looked up at Y/N, asking for approval. She nodded. Liam's hand ran over her small baby bump. "It just means he's growing," he smiled as he heard the baby's heartbeat fluttering like a set of hummingbird's wings.
"Or she," Y/N smiled as she placed her hand on top of his.
"We'll see," he chuckled. "In the meantime, you're wearing my hoodie as long as you want. After all, you're carrying a Dunbar." Y/N rolled her eyes, earning a chuckle from Liam. "But seriously, wear it. I'll talk to Hayden today and whatever happens happens. I'll still be waiting for you outside after your last class to go to the doctor's appointment, okay?"
She sighed. "Okay."
***
"You know, if you're planning on ditching me again, I would appreciate the heads up instead of wasting my gas and time waiting on you," Hayden said once she reached our lunch table. Everyone stayed quiet as she glared at Liam with her arms crossed tightly to her chest. You didn't need a werewolf to sense she was angry.
Liam swallowed the mouth full of food he had before speaking. "***. I forgot... Again," he mumbled that last part under his breath.
Hayden looked at him, waiting for an explanation. Man, if looks could kill, Liam's head would be on a stick right now.
"I'm sorry. I forgot to tell you I was walking to school with Y/N this morning." Y/N sank lower in her seat next to Liam as Hayden's eyes shifted to her.
"Liam, what is going on?" Hayden asked.
Before he could answer, Malia sat down at the end of table, completely ignoring the confrontation between Liam and Hayden, and everyone's discomfort. Y/N nose flared at the slightest smell of egg. Her eyes narrowed at the boiled egg on Malia's tray. Her hand flew to her month as she let out a small gag.
Liam's eyes shifted to Malia's tray and noticed what was about to make Y/N sick. He reached over the table, grabbed the boiled egg from her salad, shoved it in his mouth, and took a couple of bites before swallowing it. Y/N's reflexes relaxed. "Thank you," she sighed in relief, knowing she wasn't about to puke in the nearest trashcan in the cafeteria.
"What was that about?" Hayden asked.
"Egg makes her sick," Liam explained.
"Egg too?" Hayden tilted her head to the side. "You have all of these foods that are suddenly making you sick and nauseous..." she trailed as her eyes looked over Y/N's body figure. "You're boobs have gotten bigger too, and please don't take this the wrong way, but you look a little bit different," Y/N winced knowing Hayden was referring to her baby weight she gained over the past four months, "if I didn't know any better, I'm starting to think you're pregnant." She laughed at her own joke.
Everyone sat still, frozen like statues. Too scared to move. Not that they would leave, they were too eager to know what's about to happen next. Y/N shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Liam reached in for her hand and squeezed it, signaling her to look at him. They had this unspoken conversation, where he was letting her know this was it. This was the moment he had to tell Hayden. Liam couldn't stall any longer. Y/N nodded her head, letting him know it okay. Granted, it wasn't the best place to tell her, but it was time for him to tell her and she'd be here for him if things went horribly wrong.
He looked back at Hayden who had a look of fear and heartache on her face. "Liam...?" She whispered.
"Y/N is pregnant... and it's mine."
