《Lost and Insecure (ManxBoy)》Chapter 26

"So you want me to just give you a piece of my land for a human girl, is that right?" I questioned.
I leaned back in my chair and listened closely to what Verts had to offer through the phone. He always traded valuable items with me and was a very respectful vampire, so I knew he would be honest with his word.
"Yes, I promise you Alexander this girl is still a virgen and pure. She knows how to cook and always obeys every order." Verts informed, sounding proud.
I hummed in response but in reality was not interested in trading my piece of land for another girl.
I already had enough maids in my house and was still paranoid of letting another one in after the incident with Bailey.
"I apologize Verts but I'm not interested." I replied honestly.
I heard him huff in frustration on the other side of the line and I knew he wasn't happy but I really didn't care.
"Let's reason here, Alexander. Whatever you want I will have in your feet...just give me a little of your land." Verts begged.
"Why do you want my land so badly, Verts?" I questioned curiously. The fact that he wanted a piece of my land and nobody elses made it suspicious.
"Yours is just always so green and beautiful so I want a piece of it. Simple as that." Verts replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"It's called watering..." I stated and mentally rolled my eyes.
"I under-"
"Sir! we have a major problem downstairs that needs your presence at once!" one of my guards suddenly yelled as he barged through my door.
I was about to question what the problem was but my question quickly got answered for me.
"They have kidnapped your, human boy, Luke!"
I hung up the phone and didn't even bother to care about Verts and rushed downstairs. I saw Angel and Robert being taken care of by Nana and some other maids.
They had deep red cuts covering most of their bodies. I approached them but saw they were in no state to talk right now so instead I walked over to Daniel.
He had only minor injuries and it was really pissing me off. Why did the humans suffer more than he did? Did he not protect them like I ordered?
"What the hell happened?!" I questioned Daniel.
He got up from his seat and tried to think of something. "Sir, it all happened so quickly I-I didn't even know it w-was happening..."
"Get to the fucking point Daniel! My boy just got kidnapped! I don't have time for a detailed fairytale story!" I yelled back at the trembling man.
"Some vampires took Luke by force and the human boys tried to help him, but then more vampires came out of nowhere and it was just a big fight so I rushed over and helped them!" Daniel replied as he mentally replayed the scene in his head.
I placed my hands on my hips and paced around for awhile. A lot of people came into my mind as to who would want to kidnap Luke.
"Do you remember anything off or weird about the vampire that kidnapped Luke?" I questioned Daniel and waited patiently for his reply even though I wanted to choke it out of him.
I needed hints or anything that could help me find my white haired boy.
"Well uhhm I did see they all had a cursive W on their hands but I don't know if th-"

"Thank you, that's all I need to know." I stated and started to make my way upstairs.
"But sir if you don't mind me asking..who do you think it is?" Daniel questioned and followed me.
"Who else marks their property like that, Daniel?" I simply asked and headed towards my office.
Daniel stayed quiet thinking hard about the question but then shrugged not knowing.
"The marks we're not a W you saw. They were an upside down M for Max." I replied and saw him gasp in shock.
Unlike him, I was not surprised at all. It was weird that Max suddenly stopped coming over since he has been barging into my house ever since I built it. There was something off and I could feel it but I didn't want to believe it.
He kidnapped Luke and I needed to know why.
I put on my jacket and grabbed my car keys before I headed back downstairs. Angel and Robert were looking better so I knew they would be fine when I came back.
"Make sure you properly disinfect those cuts. A vampire's nails are the dirtiest thing ever." I instructed the maids, making them nod in understanding.
As I headed for the door, Nana suddenly stopped me. "Alexander, where are you going?" she questioned.
"Max has Luke so I'm going to pay him a visit." I replied.
Nana looked unsure and worried. "Don't you think something is off here? Why would he so boldy kidnap Luke like that? I think there is something sinister underneath this." she stated honestly.
I thought about it and didn't think Max would be so cruel to do anything horrible. Even though he disliked me sometimes, he has never tried to hurt me.
"Don't worry Nana. I'll be back with Luke." I assured her and left through the door.
I got inside my car and sped to Max's house that was almost an hour away. Once I got there I knocked on the door and was greeted by one of Max's housekeeper.
She smiled kindly at me and seemed surprised to see me standing in front of her. "Master Alexander what a pleasure to see you today. Please step inside and I will notify Master Max of your presence."
I stepped inside and watched as the housekeeper went upstairs to where Max might be but I didn't bother waiting.
I walked downstairs to where Max's basement was and went through the long dark hallway that lead me to the door.
The area in general was dark and dusty. Max killed people down here so he kept it far from the top part of his house like an underneath hole.
The basement was the only room Max would keep Luke in. Once I reached the wooden door I cursed under my breath when the room was locked. I stepped back a little and kicked the door open.
It was quiet as I looked around the empty chamber. I stepped inside and was surpised to not see Luke anywhere. The room was very cold and only had a small window that let some light inside.
I turned around to leave but stumbled back when I was roughly pushed. My eyes widened in shock as I saw those familiar red eyes that haunted my childhood.
My father...
"Well, look how handsome and strong my boy has gotten. I would say I'm proud of you but I unfortunately am not..." he boldy stated and entered the room.
He closed the door behind him and stood in front of it with crossed arms.

I still couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing..my father was killed..
"Surprised to see me? " he taunted with a menacing smirk.
I fixed my composure and tried to wake up from my shock. A million questions circulated through my head but I didn't want my father to see my worry.
"Why did you fake your own death?" I harshly questioned.
My father mockingly laughed and stepped closer to me. He was always inches taller than me and had a more threatening stare to him.
I didn't want to admit it, but I did fear him and for many reasons...
"I wanted to see what you and Max would do for my legacy after my death and I expected so much out of you Alexander. You made me look like a worthless vampire with your little generous acts! Everybody talked about my cruel killings and now they are being forgotten because of your little human boy! I have never been more humilated to see my son fall in love with a piece of meat! " he snarled into my face.
I took a couple of steps back and waited for him to finish his rant.
"So I took matters into my own hands and had Max's guards steal your precious jewel to bring you here. I knew you would find out your human boy was taken by Max so the trap settled in perfectly. " My father stated with a proud smile and snapped his fingers.
In less than a second, the door suddenly opened and a couple of vampires stepped in with Luke.
They held him tightly and I could see fresh bruises on his cheek. I tried to get to him but my father stepped in front of me.
"No need to rush Alejandro." he laughed out.
My fists clenched at hearing the name my mother would call me as a child. She was Latin so my original name was Alejandro, but my father disagreed and instead named me Alexander.
"You can have your precious diamond." my father stated and pushed Luke towards me.
I held Luke in my arms and protected him from the others as he trembled in fear. His arms wrapped tightly around me as he hid his face in my chest.
"I'll leave you both in here for awhile...maybe an hour...days...or until you get thirsty and have no choice but to drink your little human's blood to stay alive." my father darkly stated and quickly left the room along with his followers.
I rushed towards ithe door and tried opening it, but it was shut closed and I could hear them putting extra locks on the outside so I wouldn't be able to get out.
I groaned in frustration and kept trying to break down the door. My father laughed as I heard him leave.
This was not good...
I needed blood and if I stayed here without it I knew I would lose control having Luke right beside me. My thirst would get the best of me and I couldn't let that happen.
"A-Alexander..." I heard Luke's small voice speak.
I inhaled deeply and tried not to show my worry but inside I was more than worried. I turned around and tried to give my nervous looking boy an assuring smile.
I walked back to him and wrapped my arms around his shaking body. I inspected his face and was glad he only had small bruises considering what my father was capable of doing.
I kissed each of Luke's bruises and received a smile from him, causing me to do the same.
I held him again and thought about the last time I drank blood. It was only a day ago so I'll be fine for a couple of days.
By then, I'll be able to come up with a plan to escape this chamber. I just hope and pray it won't be longer than that..

...
Luke slept in my lap as I stayed tiredly awake. I layed my head against the cold stone wall and licked my dry lips.
My whole body felt weak and I was angry at myself for still being stuck here with my pretty white haired boy.
It's been a week now and my thirst at the moment was driving me insane. My father mocked me through the door everyday and even fed Luke just to keep him healthy for me.
Luke didn't really understand but he knew it wasn't a good thing. He tried to stop eating since he knew I wasn't getting any but I couldn't make him suffer that way.
So while he stayed healthy I was starting to slowly die...
Luke noticed my pale lips and drained energy every day that passed by and gave me small kisses to keep me going.
At the moment, his loving affection was the only thing keeping me from attacking him. Many times have I wanted to just get a small drink from him, but I knew better than that.
Once I got a taste I wouldn't be able to stop and in all honesty I would rather die than kill Luke.
"Alexander?"
I looked down at my sleepy boy and weakly ran my thin fingers through his beautiful white hair. I noticed the way my hands trembled from the simple action.
"Shhh..go back to sleep, Luke." I whispered and coughed from my lack of water.
Luke got up from my lap and sat down beside me. I felt my eyes get dizzy when I somehow smelled his blood.
"Alexander, you look worse today.." Luke told me with a frown.
I quickly stood up and tried pacing back and forth to make the horrible feeling go away. I needed blood in my system and smelling Lukes was not helping.
Anger was the only thing I felt as I hit the cold wall several times. I was mad for having such a horrible father who do this to his son and I was mad that Luke had to deal with this.
"Alexander, please calm down!" Luke yelled behind me as I felt his arms on me.
"Luke...I need you to stay as far away from me as you can...I can't control myself anymore." I replied and cornered myself.
My fangs were starting to come out without my permission and my vision was suddenly becoming very clear. Please no...
I turned around and saw Luke looking at me with worry and fear. He had tears threatening to leave his glossy green eyes as he understood what was happening to me.
Not him...anybody else but him...
I fought with myself until I felt like I was getting torn apart on the inside. The pain was horrible and I knew it would go away if I drank Luke's blood.
"A-Alexander...p-please let me help you!" Luke sobbed, suddenly in front of me.
I quickly pushed him away and my fangs finally came out in full display. I tugged harshly on my hair as I yelled out in agony.
My insides felt like they were burning in hot flames and my throat was clenched shut like a rope was tightly wrapped around it.
I didn't realize I was crying until I felt the hot tears falling down my cheeks. I watched Luke from across the room and had to keep reminding myself I was doing this for him.
Don't hurt him..
Don't hurt him..
Don't hurt him..
You love him..
I kept repeating to myself to keep me calm and in my spot.
"Alexander..." Luke cried for me from across the room and hugged his legs into himself to stop his shaking.
I just wanted to hold him and make his fear go away but I couldn't and it hurt me even more.
We both sat across from eachother in pain as I hid my face in my legs. I started to claw at my arms to release some of the frustration and rocked myself like a child.
My eyes were shut closed and I accepted the fact that I was going to die soon...
My heart beat was slowing down and my breathing was slowly decreasing. It started to become difficult to breath but I took in large desperate breaths that just scared Luke even more.
He rushed towards me and didn't care about getting bitten anymore which made me upset but somehow made me feel better.
He held me and violently cried into my chest. I inhaled his familiar scent and smiled knowing I would atleast die in his arms.
"Alexander you can't die! Please take some of my blood!" Luke begged with such hurt in his voice it made me cry along with him.
I didn't want to leave him.. but if it was the thing stopping him from dieing then I would do it.
"L-...Luke...j-just hold me.." I wheezed out in a dry voice.
Luke stood up and started to look around for something on the ground. I placed my head on the wall and felt my eyes get heavy.
Oxygen was no longer getting into to my lungs and I was severely numb in pain.
"You saved me Alexander and now I'm returning the favor." Luke suddenly said beside me. I weakly watched as he cut his wrist with a sharp piece of medal he found.
Blood rushed out of his wound like a fountain and my senses were tingling for the opportunity to take all of it.
Luke placed his bloody wrist in front of my mouth and I practically tasted the sweet blood when I inhaled it. My eyes quickly changed color and my fangs were already out to devour.
I looked at Luke and saw in his face expression that he was ready for the consequences of his actions.
My beautiful white haired boy was giving his life for me...
Tears cascaded down my eyes once more and I licked his wrist and almost moaned at the taste.
Luke closed his eyes and waited for me to bite down. I smiled weakly at him and instead leaned over to press a kiss on his soft lips.
He opened his eyes and I winked at him before I finally opened my mouth and extended my fangs.
Luke screamed at my actions but I felt no regret as I bit down on my own arm...
