《Lost and Insecure (ManxBoy)》Chapter 10

I leaned on the doorframe of my room and continued to watch Luke get ready to leave. He didn't notice my presence as he brushed his white hair carefully.

I had the urge to ask how he got such wild white hair, but in a way I loved the mystery of it. His white hair was what made him so unique to me and just plain beautiful.

But what I couldn't quite figure out was why he wanted to leave for a week? I'm pretty sure he lives somewhere in the streets and alone, so why would he want to go back there?

I could easily just lock him up in my room and never let him go, but then he would just end up hating me and I didn't want that.

So, I don't mind if he leaves for a week as long as he comes back to live with me.

After what he witnessed me do with Max I was more thsn positive he would be disgusted with me and even hate me for my actions. But surprisngly he accepted it.

Well that was what I thought until a couple of days ago when he suddenly became sick at the mention of my step-brother's name.

It was obvious he was still not over what he witnessed happen to Lily and I regretted not checking up on him.

Just seeing his dissapointed eyes made me for once in my lifetime regret killing a human being.

But there was something much deeper than that. He cried hard as he threw up and it actually hurt me emotionally to see that.

So the question was, what is my pretty white haired boy hiding?

"Alexander?"

I looked up at Luke's voice and smiled when I saw his curious eyes glancing at me.

I entered the room and stood in front of him. He blushed lightly as I fixed a strand of loose hair from his face.

"How old are you?" he suddenly questioned with a cute expression on his face, causing me to chuckle in return.

"I'm twenty-three, how old are you?" I questioned back.

Luke seemed content with my age but didn't answer me back.

"I just finished combing my hair so I'm ready to go." he stated and started to walk towards the door where I stood not too long ago.

My eyes narrowed at his change of topic but I didn't question him further. In reality age didn't really matter to some vampires.

Luke couldn't be younger than eighteen...right?

He was very mature and strong for a human boy so I highly doubted it. But, I could always be wrong...

I walked downstairs and met Luke by the door. We left the house in silence and got in my white car. I drove us back to the dirty town in less than twenty minutes and parked the car by a small bakery.

"Is this really where you want to get dropped off?" I asked Luke, unsure as to why he would want me to leave him here.

"I'm sure, I'll see you in a week." he replied, and unbuckled his seatbelt.

I looked around the area and had a bad feeling in my gut about leaving Luke here to defend for himself. The town overall was a shitty place but it seemed that this area was the worst.

"Alexander.."

I turned my head back to Luke and saw him nervously play with the zipper of the new jacket I bought him.

"Don't follow me, okay? You promised." he stated seriously.

"I won't." I replied a bit upset.

How was I suppose to protect him if he didn't allow me to follow him? I guess that was part of the deal I agreed to.

"Thank you." he said and looked at me with a small smile.

I leaned over and grabbed his chin so he could lean towards me as well. I kissed his soft lips gently at first then parted them with my tongue.

He kissed me back as best as he could and even got the courage to stick his own tongue inside my mouth. I sucked on it gently and heard a small whimper come out of him in response.

I pulled away and saw his blush of embarrassment.

"Remember what I said. I will find you my pretty white haired boy if you don't come back to me." I said and ran my fingers through his white hair one last time.

"I know." he replied and looked at me one more time before he got out of the car.

He waved and entered the bakery we parked in front of. I started the car and forced myself to leave before I regretted agreeing to this deal.

Once I got home I walked inside my house and right away was ambushed by a maid. She looked worried and kept looking back at something.

"Sir, your brother is in your room. I tried to stop him but he insisted to go inside and talk to your human boy, Luke." she rushed out and tried to control her rapid breathing.

I noticed her cheek was red from an obvious slap that I knew belonged to Max.

"It's alright Mary. Thank you for trying to stop him, I promise I will return the favor for you." I told the petite maid and stroked her red cheek gently before I headed upstairs.

A glare formed on my face as soon as my room was in view. The fact that Max thought Luke was in my room and wanted to 'talk' to him pissed me off.

He had nothing to talk about with Luke and I'll be damned if he thinks I'll let him near him.

I walk into my room and see Max laying on my bed with his eyes closed and his arms under his head. His legs are crossed and he whistles like if the room belonged to him.

These situations makes me wonder why the hell I haven't kicked him out yet.

All he ever did was taunt and judge me like he was much greater than I was but I knew the real reason why he wanted to feel that way...

Max and I did not have the same mother. He was born to an afair my father had with a maid and we all knew this.

I was introduced to Max two years after my father killed my mother and I soon realized my father did the same to his.

It seemed that my father did not want a wife, he simply wanted a male child that would follow in his footsteps after he died.

I always noticed the way my father would glare at Max with slight disgust since he never intended to have another son, but he didn't let it stop him from raising Max.

"Ah! There you are my sweet brother! "

I crossed my arms and continued to glare at Max, not at all impressed with his actions.

"You should stop glaring or else your going to get wrinkles. I think I see some already forming." he mocked then got off my bed.

"Why are you in my room?" I questioned seriously.

Max smirked and simply shrugged, "I was bored so I wanted to talk to your little white haired pet. He's an interesting human boy.." he said.

I approached him and grabbed the front of his shirt with a tight fist. His face was inches from mine and I could see the amusement in his eyes.

"This is the last time I ever see you in my room and also the last time you search for Luke, understand?" I threatened.

Max eyed my face to check if I was serious and after he realized I was he pushed me away from him.

"Why so protective Alexander? What's so important about this boy?" he questioned curiously.

"That's none of your concern, now leave." I ordered.

Max didn't even flinch at my angry voice but he did start to walk towards the door.

"Whatever." he mumbled as he past by shoving me in the shoulder as he did so.

"Wait." I said and stood in front of him again.

He looked smugged like expecting me to tell him the truth about Luke and why I was so protective over him.

But instead I slapped him.

"Don't forget that this is my house and only I'm allowed to punish my maids." I stated.

Max rubbed his bruised cheek and looked at me with hateful eyes, but he did not bother to argue back as he left my room.

After he left I closed my door and locked it before I decided to take a long needed shower.

I hope this week goes by fast or I swear I'm going to go crazy...

...

I sat in my office and watched the raindrops hit against the clear window in a relaxing way.

I couldn't help but think about Luke and wondered if he was okay. What if he was out in the rain and needed some shelter?

Or what if he was hurt somewhere and was begging for help?

I tried to shake away my negative thoughts and instead continued to focus on watching the heavy rain outside my window.

It's only been two days and I'm already freaking out about every little thing and it's really upsetting me...

I should of followed him just to see where he lived so I could ease some of my worry.

With a frustrated groan, I got up from my chair and got closer to the window that was now foggy from the cold.

I opened the window and inhaled the refreshing breeze that rushed into the warm room.

"Sir, your coffee is ready. Would you like something else?" a maid suddenly questioned.

I didn't bother to turn around and instead placed my hands in my pockets, "Thank you and I'm fine for now." I told the quiet maid.

"Yes sir." she softly replied then left.

I sighed and was about to sit back down to drink my coffee but stopped when Nana entered the room.

Her face expression told me right away that something was wrong and part of me really didn't want to know.

"We have a problem..."

Listening to those words I hoped this 'problem' didn't involve my white haired boy..
