Callie sat against the wall as she watched her team - or what was left of it - discuss what happened now, especially as the blood of christ was destroyed again and now Ray was also dead. Pulling her knees into her chest, Callie rested her only arm on them as she tried to process everything that was happening to them.
"So what? Haircut said it himself, we're all Aberrations living on borrowed time. Besides, he's alive and well in 1916," Mick interrupted their self-pity session, walking into the captains office with his familiar beer clutched in his grasp. Ignoring the small looks of confusion he received from the rest of the team, the man subtly reached down to where Callie was on the floor and passed her a second bottle he had been carrying.
The girl smiled softly, taking the already opened bottle from him and placing the cold opening to her lips. She closed her eyes softly for a moment as she felt the liquid trail down her body and opened them once she had regained some feeling of normalcy.
"Mick's right. The mission hasn't changed," Sara told them all, her hand brushing past Callie's shoulder as she moved around the girl and to address the whole team. Her fake nurse outfit was still on, and Callie found herself almost grimacing at the memories it brought back.
"Except we can't destroy the Spear because we don't have the Blood of Christ," Nate pointed out, his shaggy hair reminding Callie of just what they had all been through since they last found themselves in 1916. The girl moved to her feet - with a struggle - before she looked around the room with a new found confidence.
"So we steal the spear and get it out of 1916."
The whole team turned to look at her in surprise. Callie had barely spoke three words let alone make any of the team decisions since they had gotten her back to a healthy status. Sara smiled softly, clicking with her tongue and pointing at Callie to show that she agreed.
"Now, you do realize that there's a big problem with that plan, Sara, Callie," Rip started, his eyes narrowed as he studied the two girls. "The other us's have the Spear."
Mick snorted from where he stood beside Callie, causing the raven-haired girl to hide a grin that appeared on her face. "Oh, never stolen anything from myself before. Could be interesting," the man informed them all, a small smirk twitching at the edge of his lips.
"Ugh, need I remind you that we cannot interact with ourselves!" Rip argued, not liking that all the rules about time and space travel were about to be broken. The consequences of their actions should they run into themselves would be catabolic.

"Which is why the three of you are gonna sneak into the other Waverider while the other you's are at the church," Sara finalised, everyone looking excitedly between each other as they saw that there was a chance they would finally be able to pull their plan off without any hitch.
"Now that?" Jax said, speaking for the first time as he looked around at the rest of the crew. "That sounds like a plan."
"I suggest you hurry. Events are already in motion. Mr. Rory's earlier self is currently being contacted by Mr. Snart."
"Well, we all know how that turned out," Callie muttered, ignoring the glare she received from Sara as the blonde moved to snatch the beer out of her hand. Turning to Rip and Nate, Callie was glad to know they were both on the same wavelength as she was.
"All right, if we're gonna go impersonating ourselves," Nate started as he looked between the two.
"You're gonna need a haircut."
_________
Callie ducked as she stumbled into the barracks behind the rest of the team. Jax, Sara and herself were decked out in their usual clothes while the other three had been neatly tucked into their war uniforms so that they would be able to slip onboard the other waverider.
"I told you to stay behind," Sara snarled at Callie, not meaning it maliciously but more from a protective point of view. It was obvious to them all that the girl was not at the same level she used to be - mainly because of the fact she was missing her arm.
"I'm never leaving your side again," Callie murmured softly, grabbing Sara by the back of the neck and bringing their lips together. Sara accepted the kiss, bringing her hand to rest on the side of Callie's face.
They continued for a moment before Rip let out a large cough to remind the girls of where they actually were: a battleground.
"You know what to do," Sara said to the rest of the team, sharing a glance with Jax and Callie as they three thought about what their job in the plan was.
Jax nodded, turning to look at the men. "We'll hang back and make sure everybody sticks to the script, keep an eye out for the other us appearing," he reminded them, nodding as the three darted away.
The three of them leaned back against the wall of sand sacks, waiting for confirmation of the spear snatching to be passed back through the comms to them. Callie shivered slightly, graciously accepting Jax's bomber jacket when the man offered it to her. Slipping the jacket over her shoulders, Callie couldn't help but notice that it almost managed to hide the fact that she now only had one arm.

"We got a new problem," Sara suddenly spoke, launching herself upwards as she peered over the wall and across the field. "Your old selves are back."
Jax and Callie both swore as they too moved to peer over the wall at the returning members of the team. Callie felt her chest get a little bit heavy at the sight of Ray being alive and well but she swallowed it, instead looking to Sara for their next move.
"Hang on. You mean that we've returned from the church?"
"Yes, and if you come out of the ship now, they'll see you and wreck time itself. You're trapped in there," Callie told them, her only hand pressing against the communication device that was resting in her ear.
"We have to stop them from getting to the ship."
______
"Guys!" Sara yelled out as the three of them trotted over to where the rest of their old selves were coming back from the church. "We have a a new problem. The ship it's broken."
Callie smiled at them all as she tried to use the jacket to cover the fact that she currently only had one arm. While it wasn't really working that well for her, she at least was comforted by the fact that they were all too busy focused on trying to understand why Jax and Sara were acting weird to notice.
"Uh, well what Sara means is there's a radiation leak!" Jax supplied, waving his hands in the air as he motioned back to the Waverider over his shoulder.
"Radiation leak?"
"Yes, and it's very dangerous so we need to keep our distance. If you could just follow me this way," Callie said, nodding with her head in the opposite direction of the Waverider. The girl had gone to use her hand to point until she had remembered she was severely lacking in that department.
"Wait, where's Amaya?" And there it was again, another reminder to Callie that they just were not able to save everyone. Yes, there was Amaya on the ship but it wasn't their Amaya. She was dead.
"She's safe. We got everyone off of the ship right away."
"Except Grey, who's working on fixing the ship right now!" Jax noted, a grin on his face as he looked at the rest of the team. They all looked between each other, very confused and unmeasured by what the three were telling them all.
"I thought you said it was too dangerous to be on board?"
Callie, Sara and Jax all faked laughed as they looked between each other, Sara jokingly punching Jax on the shoulder as she smiled at the rest of the team. "What's a little radiation for one half of Firestorm?"
The trio continued to fake laugh, not noticing Ray's hand sneaking up to his ear to answer the message that he was receiving over his comm. The man turned to face the three of them, a scowl on his face as he moved forwards. Callie noticed the suddenly defensive stances of all of the team and she moved back slightly as Ray walked towards Sara.
"Sorry, Sara," he said, looking at the woman. The blonde stared back confused as she tilted her head at the tall man.
"For what?"
"Listening to you."
Ray lifted his arm, throwing it forward directly at Sara's face. The blonde yelped slightly, ducking under it as she tried to avoid his swings. Callie dived to the ground as she ducked under a hit from Rip, the jacket falling off her shoulder as she sprung back to her feet. She wobbled slightly, but the sight of her missing arm was enough to pause Rip in his tracks for a second.
"Whoa! Big dude, chill out, bro! What are you doing? We're not imposters! This is madness! What has come over you people?" Jax yelled, shoving Ray off him as he dodged a hit from Nate.
"THEN WHY DOES 'CALLIE' ONLY HAVE ONE ARM?" Nate yelled, pointing to where the raven-haired girl was slumped on the floor from him just having smacked her across the face. Sara scowled at the sight, dodging Mick as she tried to speak to them all.
"If you would just let me explain!" The blonde yelled, managing to shove Ray to the floor. Just as she went to turn around, Nate's steel fist smacked her across the face in the same way that he had done to Callie.
Crouching down beside the unconscious trio, Nate poked and prodded at their faces as he tried to work out how to deactivate whatever device Thawne was using to make the three appear to be their teammates.
"Thawne's face changing technology is incredible!" Nate explained, not managing to find any cracks in the interface of whatever they were wearing. Rip paused for a moment before he looked between the three, realisation drawing on him.
"Hang on. I don't think she's an imposter," Rip said as he studied the way Sara's face moved under Nate's touch. "This is the genuine Ms. Lance, Ms. Merlyn and Mr. Jackson."
"W-what? But you told us never to revisit our past. Why would they do that? And where is Callie's OTHER ARM?" Ray asked, looking frantically between them all as he tried to figure out what the hell was going on.
"You'll have to ask them that."

The Perks of Immortality
This story will no longer be updated. After living decades and dying hundreds of times, Kegan has learned that he has finally passed some test that the cruel spirit had given him. Now, Kegan has the ability to gain “perks” that can make his life much easier. He is looking forward to finally having an easy life with the new perks he has earned. Rules to keep me honest for the perk system: Spoiler: Spoiler 1. The purpose of perks is to help the MC live longer and do new things each life. 2. The perks can be unlocked by getting hurt or killed. 3. The perks can be unlocked by putting in a lot of effort that isn’t easily duplicated in a new life. 4. Perks are generally beneficial enhancements to the MC’s body. 5. Perk costs can be lowered with more impressive achievements to unlock them. 6. Perk costs can be lowered by repeated death or injury from something the perk protects against. 7. Perk costs are increased for quality of life improvements that don’t benefit survival. I want to avoid one of the pitfalls I see for other LitRPG stories where the game elements barely relate to the story, or offer very little information. If people are skipping over and not reading the perks then I'm doing things wrong. So I promise to try and make the perks interesting, sometimes humorous, informative, and relevant to the story.Cover art by http://dertypaws.com/

The Great Golden Hero Thorian the Fair is dead! Ok, Great might have been a little much… and the only thing Golden about him was his armor. Fine! Thorian was an ego driven maniac that killed thousands of Adventurers in the pursuit of glory. Now that he has died the God of Rebirth is judging his soul and determined that the only creature Thorian can inhabit is a Dungeon Demon. Devoid of his divine luck and stripped of his power, the newly made Dungeon Demon Alistair must struggle Fang and Claw to build his new home. Sometimes cosmic justice exists and it’s a kick in the head.Author’s Note: Hey, if you like Town/Dungeon building please come in and read my story. My main focus will be writing a fun story about a struggling demon trying to gain power and a little bit of safety in his new life. Occasionally, a chapter will deal with the outside world and how Alistair’s home changes some people’s lives. Sadly, there will be errors in spelling and grammar, but I am being up front about it, please leave specific feedback and I will gladly correct it.
