Oliver paced the base, a hand rubbing between his eyebrows as Thea, Felicity and Diggle watched him pace frantically. They had seen him stressed before, but this was something else.
"Wait, WHAT?" Thea yelled, disbelief written all over her face as her brother relayed the phone call he had just received.
"Callie's not herself," he repeated, having explained the story once already. He paced frantically around he platform, checking his watch as they waited on Sara to arrive back in 2017.
"Sara needs you because you know her better than anyone else, right?" Diggle checked, making sure he was getting all of the facts right for the procedure they were about to do.
Oliver sighed, sharing a look with Thea as they remembered the secret that they had never really informed Felicity and Diggle about. He turned back to look at the two of them, a sheepish look on his face.
"Callie and I have always been close, but for a while it was... in a different way," he clarified, hinting at what they thought he was hinting at. Felicity was stunned into silence for potentially the first time in her life as she thought about the idea of the two archers being a couple. "But we realised we were better as friends, although we still know more about each other than the average friend would."
There was silence as Diggle and Felicity tried to process the information.
Just as Oliver went to reach into his pocket to phone the assassin, the elevator doors opened and she rushed in, Ray helping her to carry Callie into the base.
The arrow team jumped up, with Diggle and Oliver helping the two of them to place the smaller girl on the medical table that was in the middle of the room. Felicity held on to Thea's hand as they watched their former teammate lay unconscious on the table before them, her hair much different to how she had last seen them.
"Sara," Diggle breathed, reaching to place a hand on her arm as he tried to even comprehend the pain she must be going through. The girl smiled sadly back before turning to look at Oliver.
"The two of us need to do this, we're the only ones who can bring her back."
___
Sara jolted upwards as she came to. She blinked frantically, trying to allow her eyes to adjust to her new surroundings. While she knew from her experience in Rip's mind that the area was the place that felt most like home, she hadn't really realised that Callie's mindscape base area was going to be the Queen Manor.
Beside her, Oliver also shot up from the ground as he breathed heavily. He took a few deep breaths as he grabbed Sara's hand to help him to his feet while studying his surroundings and coming to the same decision as Sara - this was his home.
"So you said in Rip's mind you had to fight yourself?" He questioned, wondering if that would be the same case here. Sara nodded, also concerned about fighting herself again.
"Yeah, but it seems remarkably different here," she noted, noticing the seemingly natural sunlight that was filtering through the windows of Oliver's old bedroom.
The two left the room, slowly moving down the long corridor as they walked through the manor hallways. There was nothing off here - even the Queen's old maid had walked by and said hello as if it was just another normal day.
"I'm confused," Sara admitted, just as they reached the bottom of the stairs in the lobby area of the manor.

"Ollie!" The familiar voice caused them both to turn towards the doors as they swung open. A blur of blonde dashed towards them as she flung herself into the man's arms and pressed their lips together.
Sara and Oliver stood in shock as Callie moved back from Oliver's lips and wrapped her arms around his right arm, smiling widely at them both.
"Sara, have you seen my brother?"
"Tommy?" She asked, confusion written all over her face as she tried to wrap her mind around what had just happened.
"Yeah?" Callie replied, narrowing her eyes at the tone the girl had used. "You know, your husband?"
Sara felt her heart stop. Surely this was a joke? What kind of world was Callie's mind currently trapped in?
There was a laugh from the blonde girl that drew their attention back to her. She shook her head, releasing Oliver and moving to stand in front of Sara.
"I'm joking, idiot," she said, smiling widely as she grabbed the back of Sara's neck and pulled her in for a deep kiss. "You're all mine. I was over Oliver a long time ago."
Oliver and Sara stared open-mouthed at the girl as she smirked at them both, crossing her arms and moving a few steps backwards.
"I'm glad you are finally here, I want to go back home now," she admitted, flicking her hair and holding a platinum blonde strand out in front of her for them to see. "Like, why would I even do this?"
Sara looked back at Oliver before looking back to Callie. "You know why we're here?"
Callie rolled her eyes, reaching into her pocket and pulling some gum from it straight into her mouth. "Obviously," she sassed, looking over their shoulders and nodding to something behind them. "You're here to save me from that."
They both slowly turned, their confusion suddenly turning into a deep hatred for the legion at the sight in front of them.
Callie - another Callie - was sitting in a metal chair in the middle of the Queen living room, wires plugged into the girl's head from all directions. Her black hair was a comforting sight for Sara to see, and confirmed that this was the Callie that they needed to save to get her memories back.
Oliver spun back around to talk to the first version of Callie they had met, only to find there was no one standing there. They both rushed over to the girl in the room, their hands each grabbing and fumbling with wires as they tried to determine how to remove them.
"Try tugging that one?" Oliver asked, causing Sara to nod and pull at the first of four wires.
—
As the wire pulled out, they both jumped in surprise as they found themselves watching a scene playing out in front of them. They were outside the Labs, Barry in the distance.
"SARA!" Callie screamed out, her thoughts being cut off rather abruptly as the mind-controlled assassin had moved like a viper and stabbed the blade of the knife straight into her shoulder. Callie was almost pleased it wasn't a kill shot as some point of Sara must have been having an effect on the control the aliens had on her. But then again, she had just been stabbed so she wasn't feeling particularly appreciative at that moment in time.
Oliver and Sara yelled out, but it was like this version of Callie and Sara couldn't hear them.
The vision Sara crouched down, placing the knife against Callie's throat. The raven haired girl searched her eyes, but upon seeing no recognition knew that if Barry didn't sort this in the next three seconds she was dead.

As they witnessed the scene, the current versions of Oliver and Sara stood with tears streaming down their face as they realised what was happening.
—
With a jolt they were back in the Queen manor living room, one wire now having been removed from Callie's body.
"I think I understand now," Oliver told the blonde as she agreed. "Each wire is Callie's worst memories - and we need to witness them to be able to remove the wires."
They both took deep breaths before Oliver put his hands on another wire and looked to Sara. They nodded, sharing a painful smile as he tugged at the next wire.
The second Oliver saw where the removal of the second wire had brought them, he understood why this was going to be more painful than previously expected for not only him, but also Sara.
"Sara," Oliver warned, placing a soft hand on her arm as he noticed the scene. "Don't look."
The blonde ignored him, her eyes glued on the scene that was playing out in front of them.
Callie stood, her father's arm wrapped around her neck as Damien Darhk walked over to her, plucking one of her hand-crafted arrows from her clenched fist. The girl struggled against her father's grip, but the man did not release his hold on his daughter.
"Hush little Falcon," He cooed, knowing exactly how to push the girls buttons. Turning away from the girl, he looked over to Laurel as he moved closer to her.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. Ms. Lance, 9 months ago, I made your daddy a promise. I told him what I would do if he betrayed me."
Sara understood exactly why Oliver didn't want her to look at the scene that was playing out in Callie's mind. She knew what happened next. The man pulled the girl into his arms, holding her to keep her eyes away from witnessing the death of her sister.
"I want you to give your father a message from me."
Oliver and Sara squeezed their eyes shut as they heard Laurel's grunt from Darhk stabbing the arrow into her stomach.
Callie yelled out at the same time as the rest of team arrow, thrashing in her fathers arms as she somehow broke free of Damien's magical hold on them. The girl spun on her heels, punching her father in his face as she collapsed on the ground beside Laurel. She screamed and cried and yelled as Darhk simply laughed, Callie cradling Laurel's bleeding body to her chest.
—
Luckily, the memory ended there. Sara and Oliver heaved heavily, feeling the bile in their throats from witnessing the scene. Sara was glad Oliver stopped her from looking.
"You okay?" Oliver murmured quietly, not wanting to push Sara but also knowing that the longer they stayed in Callie's mind the less likely they would be able to escape.
Sara breathed deeply, running a hand through her hair before nodding. She didn't say anything, but wrapped her hand around the third wire on Callie's body. Nodding, she tugged on it.
—
Oliver and Sara coughed as they found themselves surrounded by smoke and fire. The flames lapped at their feet, but they didn't feel heat or a burn due to the fact they weren't really there.
"Hey! Bro! Oh thank god, you're okay!" Callie gasped as she slid to her knees amongst the flaming wreckage of the office buildings. Her brother was lying down, trying to cough the smoke that he was investing.
"We need to go!" She yelled, reaching to grab his hand. It was at the very moment that she felt the liquid on his hand that she knew there was a reason he was slumped on the ground.
"Callie..." Tommy grunted, having just said a final goodbye to Oliver as the Hood. He had held on, knowing that she would somehow find her way back to him.
"Tommy, no!" She yelled, noticing the shard of metal that was now poking out of his skin. "YOU DO NOT GET TO LEAVE ME!" She yelled, wrapping her hands against his cheeks as tears began to flood her eyes.
He smiled weakly, lifting a blood covered hand to rub lightly at her forehead, trailing down her eyebrow before softly resting against her cheek.
"I love you," he said, his lips softening before falling into a firm line, all of his energy gone.
Sara and Oliver sucked in a breath, knowing that they had just witnessed the exact moment their best friend had died.
Callie screamed, never having felt pain like this before. Warm arms wrapped around her from behind as the emergency services arrived to rescue her brother - only they were too late.
"I can't live without you."
—
There was a silence before they even thought about touching the final wire. They didn't know what else could have hurt Callie that badly.
Oliver looked to Sara. "I'll pull when you say you're ready," he informed her softly, wrapping his hand around the final cord.
"Go."
—
"So did you love Ollie? Or was it all about hiding your secret love for Sara?"
The final destination was a familiar setting for the vigilantes. A warm and cosy interior that also reeked with the personal characteristics of the Merlyn family. This was a memory they had no idea about.
Callie was lying with her head on Tommy's lap, the older twin playfully running his hand through her hair as she opened up to him. She shrugged against his body, before vocalising her feelings.
"I thought I loved Ollie. And I do! But only as a friend," Callie commented, thinking about how she felt about Oliver and Sara. "But Sara, I just- I just- every time I see her it's like my chest clenches and I can breath again," Callie stuttered out, causing Tommy to raise his eyebrows. He had always said that the two girls would make the perfect couple, but it was looking more than likely that it could eventually happen for them.
Just as he went to respond, the door flung open and Thea Queen ran into the room, followed closely by their doorman. The flustered girl was a mess, tears rushing down her face as her school uniform was disgracefully tarnished.
The twins jumped to their feet, rushing over to console the hysterical girl.
"Thea? Honey, what's wrong?" Callie asked, confused as to why she had ran out of school to visit the Merlyn twins.
Oliver and Sara knew in that moment what memory this was to Callie. They shared a glance, linking their fingers together as they realised this was the moment that everything that has happened to the raven-haired girl was put into motion.
"It's Ollie and Sara, they were on the boat," She rasped out, her head shaking as she tried to finish the sentence. "They're gone! They're dead!"
—
Callie shot up in the chair, her head banging against another. The currently platinum blonde haired girl noticed the two figures standing either side of her that she had hit heads with, confusion filling her body.
Looking to her left, she noticed that not only was she in the arrow cave, she was also sitting in front of Oliver. The girl heaved slightly, throwing herself off the table and wrapping her arms around his neck.
She had been trapped in her own head for so long, the memories that the legion had twisted had turned her into a monster. She had even shot Sara.
.
The girl instantly released Oliver, her whole body spinning in a circle as her eyes searched for the one person she wanted to see more than anything.
"Callie..."
Callie turned, seeing the blonde she had been searching for staring directly at her, only a few feet away.
