"Why can't I wear the mind controlling device? I think it would suit me," Callie noted, gently placing the attachment on to Rip's face as Damien huffed beside her. Callie and Rip shared a small smile before turning to look at the blonde man who was holding three swords in his hands.
"Because he's the strategist, and you're the muscle in this situation," Damien told her, allowing her for first pick of the swords. The platinum blonde girl smirked, instantly reaching for the darkest bladed sword. She could tell from her league training that it had the best weight evening across the weapon and she knew it would handle perfectly in her hands.
Damien picked his sword before passing the remaining one to Rip; they all knew he was probably the least to notice the weight differences in the sword. The blonde man turned to face Callie, raising an eyebrow and holding his sword extended slightly in front of him as an invitation to duel.
Callie smirked, throwing herself forward and allowing her blade to crash against his own. They lunged back and forth, tilting and ducking to avoid the sharp slices of the blades. Eventually, Callie managed to trip Damien up and held the tip of her sword against his neck. The man was surprised, he hadn't realised that she truly had been one of the leagues best fighters, but this only proved it.
"Sorry to interrupt your playtime," Rip spoke, pushing himself up into the saddle of the black horse that he had been holding on to. "But it's time for us to catch a king," he continued, allowing Callie to swing up on to the saddle behind him as Damien mounted his own horse, his stupid knight's armour tinkling as he moved.
Callie rolled her eyes, tucking her hair into her full black face mask - a gift from Thawne when he had returned with Rip. He mentioned something about being used by a speedster before but she ignored it.

"Still think this is just a story?"
"This place shouldn't exist!" Nate argued back as the team walked to stand in front of the round table. He was dressed remarkably different to the rest, having already had Genevieve refer to him as a leper. The team all bowed politely to whom they understood to be King Arthur, but the man simply laughed and waved them off.
"There's no need of that here. We're all equal in the court of Camelot," he shouted loudly, smiling widely at the group.
"That's why I love this guy," Ray whispered to Sara, the blonde simply smiling at his childlike excitement over his favourite fictional character.
"Our paths crossed in the wood while tracking the Black Knight and his acquaintance, Your Grace," Genevieve told her husband, looking back at the strange team she had followed in the forest.
"How then are we to know that they're not in league with those vile rogues?" The King shouted, suddenly being struck with the paranoia that they were insiders for the Black Knight and his apprentice that had been taking and killing his men recently.

"Ray?" Sara nudged the man, knowing he would be the best to respond in this situation.
"Your Grace, I swear we are not your enemies. We are warriors on a quest, a race against evil!"
"A great evil haunts my land these many days, kidnapping my noble Knights of the Round Table. Therefore, it'll fall on my wisest adviser to measure the truth of your words," Arthur reasoned back, his eyes wide as he turned to look at the curtain behind him.
"Oh, please don't say it," Nate groaned, a large idea of who was about to be mentioned.
"Summon Merlin!"
___
"Your tracking in the woods was excellent. There's not many people that can get the jump on me like that," Sara told the queen as they sat around the circular table. They had been welcomed into the court as Merlin had turned out to be Courtney: who they also knew as Stargirl. Arthur had left them to feast while he and his men continued their search for the Black Knight.
"I was a warrior long before I was a queen," she told the blonde, a smile on her face as she remembered back to the time that she treasured most.
"Why does it sound like you preferred that?" Sara asked, having heard that tone of voice many times before.
"Politics is not one of my passions. But Arthur is a true friend and ally, and I believe in his vision for a more just and peaceful kingdom."
"From what I see, Camelot lives up to its reputation. Where is the good king?" Sara asked, not sure as to where the man had actually disappeared to.
"On the hunt... no doubt chasing a boar through the brush as we speak."
___
"Do your worst, knave. I'd rather die than surrender!" Arthur yelled as Damien kicked the man to the ground, holding him to the wet forest floor with the tip of his sword places against the man's neck.
"Then you are an idiot," Callie spoke, moving out of the shadows as she stared down at the man who was pathetically shaking beneath her partner.
"You're not going to run me through?" Arthur asked as confusion settled across him. He thought the Black Knight had been causing this havoc simply for his crown.
"No. We have something else in mind for you, Your Majesty," Rip said, moving out from the other side of the trees and holding the device in his hands. The man sighed slightly, glad he wasn't about to be made into a royal kebab with the sword.
Callie smirked at his relief, a harsh laugh chuckling out of her body. It sent Arthur's smile straight off his face and a cold chill began to spread through his body.
"I don't know if I'd be glad, if I was you."
___
"Arthur's captured the Black Knight and his partner!"
Sara and the rest of the team jumped to their feet as the man entered the room with the Black Knight and the other rogue at his side. Courtney smiled, moving closer to the king in relief.

"Arthur, I was beginning to..." She was cut off as the man grabbed her tightly, twirling her around so her back was against his chest as he held a sharp blade to her throat.
There was shouts and yells from the royal court as he did so, with the Legends jumping into defensive positions at the man changing his attitude so suddenly. Everything suddenly became a lot clearer to them as the Black Knight removed his helmet, with Damien Darhk smirking at the team in front of him.
"Oh, sorry about the ruse, but I figured it was the only way to get inside. Oh! Hey, guys. I see you've met my friend Arthur here," he laughed, pointing to the frozen king. Rip appeared behind the man, a smirk also present on his face as he looked to the king.
"Give us a smile, Arthur!" Rip ordered, the device on his head and on Arthur's head beeping as the order was carried out perfectly. There was a moment of silence before Genevieve spoke up, trying to get through to her husband.
"Arthur..." she trailed off, being replaced instantly by Damien's sarcastic taunts towards her and the rest of the legends.
"The king has left the building. You don't get the reference? Ugh, pity," he sighed, knowing that the reference was way to far in the future for the woman to even begin to comprehend.
"My acquaintance here however, is a friend that I believe you're yet to meet," Damien said as the other figure in armour reached up to pull the black mask off their face. Blonde hair cascaded down his 'friend's shoulders, a smirk plastered upon the face. There was a small shout from Nate at the face, but that was it.
The legends all froze in their place, having already known that she was working with the legion, but not expecting to see her in the same state they had met Rip in previously.
"Callie..." Sara breathed, the only one to be vocal about her appearance. The blonde felt her heart jump slightly at the sight of her love, the anger and darkness present clearly on her face. Sara felt the breath in her lungs suddenly be sucked away, the look of the girl reminding her instantly of the Callie that had trained with her at the League. The vicious, dangerous Callie - not her Callie. One look at the girl and Sara could almost feel the bloodlust that was seeping through her.
The other girl narrowed her eyes at the use of her nickname but they were interrupted with Rip explaining why him and Callie were wearing electronic devices on their heads.
"Basically, your king now does anything I want him to do, so if you don't him to spill your blood all over this floor, I suggest that you hand over your fragment of the Spear," Rip told the team, knowing that the spear was here somewhere.
"My patience is running short. The fragment... where is it?" Damien asked, fed up of their dramatics now. He just wanted to hurry up and get out of this medieval period and return to Thawne and Merlyn.
"As long as I live, you will never have it."
"That might turn out to be shorter than you think," Callie said, her hand resting on the hilt of the sword that was tucked in her belt.
Sara darted forward, having snapped out of her daze as she snatched the knife from Arthur, all hell breaking loose. Callie whipped her sword out, darting forward and lunging towards the blonde assassin that she believed had killed her brother.
The blonde grabbed a sword from the side that had been disgusted just in time to block the attack that she was sure would have killed her. Sara looked into Callie's eyes, seeing nothing but hatred in them.
The blonde kicked the brainwashed girl's knee, sending her stumbling backwards slightly. They both were faintly aware of Arthur stabbing his right hand man in the background, but they were only focused on their fight at hand.
"Callie, you don't want to do this..." Sara tried as she parried another blow. The other girl ignored her, simply trying to attack again. Her attacks were all offensive, and Sara knew that she wasn't even thinking ahead on what to do.
"You say that like you know me," the girl snarled back, ducking under the swing of a blade from another Knight. She slashed at the man before turning back to Sara.
"We do know you Callie, I know you!" She tried, praying that the girl would somehow recognise them or even better, her.
"I know you," Callie said, causing a slight glimmer of hope in Sara to build before the girl continued with a snarl. "You're the reason my brother is dead."
She kicked Sara backwards, the blonde sliding along the floor and into Nate who helped her up. Just as Callie was about to go again, Rip put his hand out to hold her back.
"Stand fast, or your king dies," Damien said as Rip had Arthur hold his blade to his own neck.
"All I have to do is think it, and he slits his own throat," the man warned them all, pointing to the device that Callie had placed to his head only hours prior.
"Ultimatum time. Deliver the fragment to me by dawn, or I'll come back with an army just as obedient as Arthur here. Choice is yours... Camelot... or the Spear.

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P
