《falcon [sara lance]》26

"You killed George Washington," Thawne said as he and Callie watched the newly improved Rip retreat from giving the army orders and rifles. Callie had to agree that the alteration of his memories had been a good idea, especially as she found his new attitude much more tolerable than 'Phil's attitude.
"Yes, I know. Well, that should get my former teammates' attention, and when they travel back in time to save him, I'll be there waiting for them with open arms," Rip said, watching Callie as the now platinum blonde rang her hand across the rope noose that was set up behind them.
"Well, not too open, I hope," Thawne joked, knowing that Rip would certainly not be tainted by the reappearance of his former teammates after they had used the same process on him that they had practised on Callie only days before.
"No, have no fear, Mr. Thawne. I have no lingering attachment, and I think I speak the truth when I say Miss Merlyn also has none," he said, watching as the girl turned back to look at the men with a smirk on her face - the action was a prominent answer.
"Ah, in that case, kill them all, collect their fragment of the Spear of Destiny, and bring it to me. Camilla, keep out of sight," he ordered, before standing up and dashing away before their very eyes.
___
Callie stayed in the shadows of the trees as Rip turned into the path of the blonde assassin and the thief. She kept her crossbow raised on her shoulder, prepared to make the shot that she and Rip both agreed that they would take.
"Rip? Rip. How did you get here?" The blonde spoke. There was a sudden tense of Callie's muscles as she heard the voice properly for the first time, almost like she recognised. But she didn't, she just knew it as it was from the murderer of her brother.
"I don't like this," Mick grunted, already feeling the likeliness of this being a trap coursing through his body. Sara ignored the man, moving closer to her friend as she was unaware of the tempering from his mind.
"Rip?"
"Hello, Sara," the Brit spoke coldly, his eyes shooting over to meet Callie's with a brisk nod of his head. The girl released the trigger on her crossbow at the exact same time that Rip fired the round of his gun directly into the assassins stomach. Sara gasped out in pain and shock as she stumbled backwards into Mick's arms.
"Good-bye, Sara," Rip replied to his action, a smirk finding its way on to his face. He cast his eyes back to the shadows, noticing that Callie had done exactly as they said she would - disappear and head back to her father.

The platinum-blonde didn't cast a look back at her old teammates as she slinked away through the trees, the blonde that she had once called her lover not even on her mind for a second.
___
"I don't like it," Malcolm spoke as he let the strands of Callie's hair that he was inspecting fall from his hands. The girl rolled her eyes, moving away from her father as she hung the crossbow back on to its hook with the rest of their weapons.
"It's only temporary, I needed a change, and besides, the colour resinated with me," she spoke, her words causing a slight discomfort in her father and Damien Darhk as she informed them that the thought of blonde hair was familiar to her.
They shared a look between each other, trying to hide their alarm at the consideration that the brain-wiping maybe hadn't worked as well as they originally thought.
Just as they were about to question her choice more, there was a flash of lightning and Thawne sped in to the room. Rip was standing next to him, now wearing a all-black outfit to match Callie's as he wiped a speck of blood off of his wrist.
"Is she dead?" Callie asked, hoping that the answer would be a formative yes.
Rip shook his head, causing the girl to feel the trickle in her throat as her bloodlust flared up. There was no-one quite like Sara Lance that made her feel so angry at her very existentence. Thawne, Darhk and Malcolm watched as Callie reached into the weapons drawer, pulling out her glock.
Malcolm raised his eyebrows as his daughter cocked the gun, making sure to load it with full ammunition before sliding the gun into the waistband of her black jeans.
"Good, cause once I'm through with her, she will be."
___
"So if it's Darhk, Merlyn and Thawne, surely we can take on the three of them and win once we figure out how to get Rip back?" Jax asked as they all tried to think of a plan of attack to prevent the legion of doom from ending everything. Everyone hesitated in answering before Amaya drew their attention to Ray who had just ran into the room.
"Why are you making that face?" She asked, causing the team to see that he was pulling an uneasy expression after hearing what Jax had said.
"What if there's not three members," he began, not really sure how to find his footing in the situation.
"What are you talking about, Haircut?" Mick grunted, taking a swig of his beer as he turned to face the inventor.
"I'm sorry to even say this, and I know it'll be hard to hear at first, especially for you Sara, but there's really not just three of them," Ray addressed the girl, unsure of how to word the information he was about to pass to the blonde assassin.

Sara quirked an eyebrow from where she was sitting in the chair, looking up from her and Nate's map to look at the shivering man. She pushed the map away as she rose from seeing the uncertainty and hesitation on his face. The rest of the team from around the library also looked up, not sure what the newly-recovered man was about to tell them.
"It's not just the three of them we're up against," Ray continued, pausing as they all began to try to ask him questions. "There's a fourth member of their team, I was looking through the footage on my playback on the suit and there's a figure that keeps showing up with them that we haven't noticed."
A feeling of dread began to settle in the whole teams stomachs as Ray was tiptoeing around revealing the information to them - something the man rarely did unless it was highly serious. He wrung his hands for a second before looking up at the ceiling.
"Gideon, can you play the footage?"
The AI responded by activating the large screen that was present in the library with the whole team gathering round. Ray paused the footage from the night that the legion had taken the amnesiac Rip Hunter, pointing out a hidden figure in the back. The figure was unrecognisable from the distance and lack of quality, but they definitely left with the legion.
The team was silent as Ray moved on to the next example. This time it was when they had fought the brainwashed Rip as they tried to protect George Washington. The same figure, clad in a black hooded outfit, was present in the back of the fights. This time, it was easier to notice the crossbow in the hands of the assailant.
Ray turned to look at Sara, a furrow in his eyebrow. "That's where that arrow came from," he noted, nodding to where it was resting on the desk away from them. Sara breathed in deeply for a second, getting more concerned as the seconds went by.
"Did they appear again?" Sara questioned, knowing that there was a high chance they would meet the attacker during their visit to Camelot.
Ray shook his head, but Stein voiced Sara's thoughts. "If they travel with the legion, there's a high certainty that our paths will cross soon."
As the team continued to talk, Sara suddenly felt inclined to take a look at the arrow that had been brought back from their previous mission. Having technically been killed by Rip, she hadn't really had the time or effort to have looked at the arrow when it was embedded in her stomach.
As she picked up the crossbow arrow, the feeling of dread in her stomach turned to a feeling of pure sickness. She felt her skin pale as she looked at the finely made arrow head that rested at the top of the shaft.
"Oh god," she murmured to herself, her finger running along the small symbol that had been etched into the side of the head.
If she had looked sooner, she would have known instantly. She had seen that symbol so many times, etched by one person in particular.
"Sara?" Nate asked, having noticed how quiet the assassin had gone, and also had heard her mutter to herself.
Slowly placing the arrow back on the table, she took a deep breath before composing herself before the team. They didn't need to see her break down in front of them.
"It's league of assassins training, and this arrow, it's hand crafted by a member of the league," she started, letting her train of thought unravel as she spoke.
"Merlyn and Darhk were both in the league," Ray started but he was cut off straight away.
"And so was I, but none of us crafted this arrow. Another member of the league did, and this symbol tells me exactly who I think it is," she pointed to the mark on the top of the arrow. "If you'll excuse me," she muttered, storming out of the room as she knew she was going to full on explode if she said another word.
Everyone stared at the door as she left, confused as to why she was acting so out of character from her usual self. Amaya moved over to the arrow while they all shared glances, before she started to connect the dots.
"What type of bird did Callie say her codename was?" The girl asked, instantly recognising the symbol but needing confirmation as to who it belonged to.
"A falcon, why?" Jax asked, dread now seeping into him.
Amaya gulped before turning the arrowhead to face them all. The symbol was visible, and the team understood everything.
The bird symbol had its wings extended, the beak slightly opened with the talons on its feet extended. Amaya knew her animals well.
"This symbol, it's a Falcon."
"That can only mean-" Nate started as Stein interrupted him.
"Camilla is the fourth member of the legion."

A Castle in a Teacup

Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night.
