"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit." You heard John say as him and his partner walked down the steps across the road from us.
"Great it's them again." You said as you rolled your eyes.
"Ah! How'd you find us now?" Bucky questioned.
"Come on. You think three avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" Johns friend said to us.
"No more keeping us in the dark." John told us.
"You could start by telling is why you broke him out of prison." John said.
"He did that himself, technically." Bucky told John.
"This better be an unbelievable explana.." John said but Sam cut him off.
"Hey, take it easy befit gets weird." Sam said.
"I know where Karli is." Zemo told them as Zemo tried to walk passed him but John stopped him.
"Well, where?" John questioned.
"All we know is, it's a memorial. So, we're gonna intercept her there.." Sam explained a Zemo started to walk off a bit.
"That means civilians. High risk of casualties." John friend said as we started to walk.
"All right, good, we'll move in fast. Take her by surprise." John said.
"No, I wanna talk to her alone." Sam said.
"I'm not losing her again." John told Sam.
"Look, the person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. Now is the best time to reason with her." Sam explained.
"What? No. Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay?" John said as he got in front us.
"I think we're way past reasoning with her. Unless you forgot that she blew up a building with people still in it." John said.
"Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you." John friend explained.

"And If I go in hot and the op goes wrong, more people will die." Sam explained.
"You'll let him do this? Are you gonna let your partner walk into a room with a Super Soldier alone?" John asked.
"He's dealt with worse. And he's not my partner." Bucky told John.
"I used to counsel soldiers dealing with trauma, okay? This is in my wheelhouse." Sam explained.
"I know." John said.
"And I know those soldiers, which is why I know this is a bad idea." John continued.
"Wait, John. If he can talk her down, it maybe worth a try." His friend told him as he just scoffed.
"We'll deal with you later." He told Zemo.
"I'm sure it will al come to an agreeable conclusion. My associate is just up head." Zemo said as a little girl stood a few feet away from us as we walked towards her.
"Hello, my friend. This is for your family." Zemo said as he hand her money.
"Can you show us the way?" Zemo asked and she told us to follow her.
"What the hell?" You heard John said behind you as we follow her.
We walked into a room as we walked to another door.
"Karli's in there." Zemo said as Sam walked towards the door.
"All right." He said as John grabbed Zemo arm.
"Hey, you got ten minutes." John said.
"Really?" You heard Zemo say.
"Then were doing things my way." John told Sam as he hand cuffed Zemo to a pole.
"Aggressive." Zemo said.
"But I get it." Zemo said to John.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.

Bloodshed
Every ship has its secrets. The Bloodshed was no different. As its name suggests, this ship had seen its fair share of bloodshed. Originally, the ship was christened The Star of Orion. Over time with all the battles it endured, it quickly became known as Blood of Orion. Eventually, that morphed into the name we know today. The Star of Orion was built as a trade ship but when she was captured by pirates, she was modified and outfitted with anywhere between 15 and 30 guns. She was captained by one of the most fearsome pirates to roam the northeastern coast of North America and the southern coast of Africa, Anwen Wolfe. Anwen was known as the Wolf of the Atlantic. She captured The Star of Orion on its way to London. Little is known about what happened in their final days on the high seas, until now.

The Only Survivor
I want revenge. However, to get revenge, I need information. And for information, I need answers. Yet to get answers, I need power. But for power, I need to survive. They made a grave mistake leaving me alive and locking me in a dungeon cell. They will live to regret it. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is a story in a fantasy world with lots of fantastical elements, including magic and cultivation. However, there's also some decent technology in this world. Gaining power has a system and nothing comes out of nowhere. Essentially, the setting and background is high fantasy but the focus will be whatever the MC sees, so expect more of a gritty realistic low fantasy most of the time. The MC is not OP and uses his wits and strategy to survive, and maybe even thrive. The warning tags are just there because I don't want any limits to where this story may lead me to writing. *I don't own the cover*
