Steve and you walked down hallway as you saw agent 13.
"Captain Rogers, Y/n." She said to us as she walked passed us.
"Neighbor."
"Oh, Captain, Y/n. I'm Alexander Pierce." He introduced himself.
"Sir, it's an honor." Steve said as you both shock him hand.
"The honor's mine. Captain. My father served in the 101th. Come on in." He said as we walked into his office.
"That photo was taken five years after Nick and I met, when I was at state department in Bogota. E.L.N rebels took the embassy, and security got me out, but the rebels took hostages." Pierce explained as Steve looked at a photo as you stood patiently next to him.
"Nick was Deputy Chief of the shield station there, and he comes to me with a plan. He wants to storm the building through the sewers. I said, no, we'll negotiate. Turned out, the ELN didn't negotiate, so they put out a kill order. They stormed the basement, and what do they find? They find it empty." Pierce walked towards us as we sat down and put papers on the table.
"Nick had ignored my direct order, and carried out an unauthorized military operation on foreign soil, and saved the lives of a dozen political officers, including my daughter." Pierce continued to explain.
"So you gave him a promotion." Steve asked.
"I've never had any cause to regret it. Captain, why was Nick in your apartment last night?" Pierce asked Steve.
"He was going to hep me with homework." You told pierce with a smile.
"Did you know it was bugged?" Pierce asked.
"I did, because Nick told us." Steve told Pierce.
"Did he tell you he was the one who bugged it?" Pierce asked and no one answered.

"I want you to see something." Pierce said as the tv behind us turned on.
"Who hired you, Batroc?" Some asked the guy on the tv.
"Is that live?" You asked.
"Yeah, they picked him up last night in a not so safe house in Algiers." Pierce told us.
"Are you saying he's a suspect?" Steve asked.
"Assassination isn't Batrocs line." Steve continued.
"No, no. It's more complicated than that. Batroc was hired anonymously to attack the Lemurian star. And he was contacted by email and paid by wire transfer, and then the money was run through 17 fictitious accounts. The last one going to a holding company that was registered to a Jacob Veech." Pierce explained as he handed Steve papers.
"Am I supposed to know who that is?" Steve asked.
"Not likely. Veech died six years ago. His last address was 1435 Elmhurst Drive. When I first met Nick, his mother lived at 1437." Pierce told us.
"Are you saying Fury hired the pirates? Why?" Steve asked.
"The prevailing theory was that the hijacking was a cover for the acquisition and sale of classified intelligence. The sale went sour and that led to Nicks death." Pierce said.
"If you really knew Nick Fury, you'd know that's not true." Steve told him.
"Why do you think we're talking? See, I took a seat on the Council not becausei wanted to, but because Nick asked me to, because we were both realists. We know that, despite all the diplomacy and the handshaking and the rhetoric, that to build a really better world sometimes means having to tear the old one down." Pierce explained as he walked towards the window on looked out.
"And that makes enemies." Pierce said as he looked towards us.

"Those people that call you dirty because you got the guts to stick your hand in the mud and try to build something better. And the idea that those people could be happy today makes me really, really angry." Pierce explained.
"Captain, Y/n, you were the last ones to see Nick alive. I don't think that's an accident. And I don't think you do, either." He explained to us.
"So, I'm gonna ask again. Why was he there?" Pierce asked again.
"He told me not to trust anyone." Steve told him.
"I wonder if that included him." Pierce said.
"I'm sorry. Those were his last words. Excuse us." Steve grabbed his shield and pushed you towards the door.
"Captain, somebody murdered my friend and I'm gonna find out why." Pierce said as Steve stopped to look at him.
"Anyone gets in my way, they're gonna regret it. Anyone." Pierce explained.
"Understand." Steve said to him as we then left his office.

Tales of the Old World Demon Lord
1984 had indeed come, however it was 100 years late. In 2084 a man named [Sovereign] had taken control of the entire globe and the destiny of Humanity itself was in his hands. Many called him evil, perhaps he was, but Sovereign believed that he was cultivating the future of humanity; he knew that if Humanity continued on its current trajectory it would not last. However his plans came to an abrupt end when he was tragically murdered by his closest confidante. For a time after that the world finally found peace as their evil overlord had been overthrown but as Sovereign had predicted the world indeed came to an end. Humanity had returned to its old ways, they reconstructed borders, created separations known as 'countries' and in the end without unification and a single future, war had once again engulfed the world. Slowly as it choked on its own ineptitude the humans killed themselves off as their resources depleted and the planet was made uninhabitable. However this was not the end of the story for Sovereign, but a new beginning. Born again in a world of swords and sorcery he quietly evaluates the mettle of these new humans. Should they not come to meet his standards then 'Sovereign' would also be reborn. "To the primitive fools who believe magic reigns supreme, allow me to demonstrate the might of the old world technology."Arc 1: Kenesis Enhancement Project/SovereignArc 2: Human Immortalization Project/Nemesis Arc 3: The Skyfall Project/Gungnir

Rekindle
My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.

A generic love story: disturbance
To escape the boring dogma that society presents, many choose to turn away and bathe in a fictional world with fantastic fantasies. There they are awed by the great heroes and villains; by great battles between powerful forces, and by things that the real world didn`t seem to hold. But by doing so, they cruely ignored the pains and suffering of actual human beings, as well as the real threat humans can pose to eachother under extreme but still very real conditions. What many failed to realise, is the fact that unspeakable evil is very much doable by a mere anybody, and with that, the terrifying things a human can do when their mind is twisted. This story is a pathetically poor, but still a desperate attempt to reveal the depths of human emotions and what they can drive us to do. Following Sougo Kyoya, a boy with a tragic past and violent future, the story will deliver hard to understand martial arts and psychological behavior, masochism, and BDSM smut scenes. notes: "character`s conversations" (character`s thoughts) *sound effects* [author`s notes] Credits to BlackTea and Pingster for contributing ideas and editing.
