Third person's POV :-

Its all silent in Zuber Khan's house. Every one gathered being silent yet thousands of words roaming in their mind while farah standing with her head bowing down in shame. Zuber never shouted on her daughter nor he putted any barriers in her life. He gave his daughter freedom and only asked her to keep their dignity safe in return. But now that she is standing in front of him after destroying everything, zuber finds it hard to stop himself from cursing but the only thing stopping him is who he wants to curse? Farah or him? For giving her this much freedom. Sharif khan didn't even want to see farah's face but on his wife's pleading he came to his brother's house, still he didn't paid much attention to his niece.

"Tell her to go away Rukhsar! Or else I'll kill her!" Mrs. Rehmat shouted while tears flowed down her cheeks and anger visible in her eyes.

"Bhabhi..I know what farah did was wrong but please bhabhi she is your daughter, let us listen to what she wants to say." Mrs. Rukhsar said while rubbing the back of her Elder sister-in-law.

"Daughter! Aisi beti hone se toh acha hai ki be-aulaad rahe! (It is better to be childless than to have such a daughter!)" Mrs. Rehmat said with gritted teeth.

"Ammi.." Farah whispered as her heart trembled in fear of her parents not forgiving her.

Her eyes roamed around the small hall, her brothers Arib amd Abdullah looking at her with a Look as if she is a murderer and her uncle and baba, they didn't even glance at her once.

'Its all my fault.' Farah thought as tears flowed down her cheeks.

"Ya Allah! Ki-kiya karu main?(What do I do?)" Mrs. Rehmat cried putting her palm on her forehead.

"Ammi.. please..ddon't cry. I-I will apologize to everyone..I will apologize to shahzaib..he loves me ammi, he will forgive me and everything will be back to normal like it was before." Farah said coming forward to her mother.

Mrs. Rehmat glared at her daughter as she stood up and slapped farah. Everyone looked at her with mixed emotions. Farah cried while holding on her cheek.

"Bhabhi, what are you doing? She is your daughter and is young now." Mrs. Rukhsar said, holding farah by her arms.

"Don't you see how shameless she became, talking of apologies like she hasn't done anything big. Because of you farah, we had to face humiliation infront of Shahzaib and his family not only that but also your father has to go through such cruel treatment from his family. Even shahnoor has to sacrifice her young life which is not even started properly because of you!" Mrs. Rehmat shouted at farah at which farah's eyes snapped at her mother.

"Wh-what are you talking about? What happened to shahno? Where is she? Aunty where is she shahno?" Farah asked Mrs. Rukhsar than looked around but no one answer.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

"I can't believe this shahzaib! How can you be like this?! Nai dulhan tumhara yaha intezaar karrahi hai or tum ho ki kaam se hi fursat nahi hai tumhe! (New bride is waiting for you and you haven't got out of those work yet.)" Mr. Raees almost shouted in disappointment.

"Uncle, its not like I am doing this on purpose. Besides shahnoor is a smart girl, she will understand." Shahzaib said, getting tired.

"Do whatever suits you!" Mr. Raees said and hung up.

Shahzaib sighed looking at the laptop, he needs to attend this one meeting. Its important, he has worked hard to get this tender. Although he can get it easily as per his mafia reputation but thought of his little wife not liking this way of his work, makes him choose the harder path. And here he has to face the disappointment of his uncle.

'I am only doing this for you, baccha.' He thought thinking about their last conversation.

On the other hand, shahnoor heard the heartbreaking conversation of Mr. Raees. Making her eyes blurry with the unsheded tears as she look down.

Mr. Raees got up from the sofa and turn around when his eyes caught the innocent sight of his daughter-in-law. He walked towards her as she look down.

"I was just passing by." She said with a quiet tone.

Mr. Raees exhale before he placed his right hand on her head.

"He must be really busy, or else why would he try to loose this beautiful moment? Don't worry we all are here with you and he will soon come back." Mr. Raees tried to assure her not to feel alone.

"He isn't coming tomorrow?" She asked again, praying that he would say that its not true.

"Unfortunately no meri bacchi (My daughter), but he will be back soon. And tomorrow your aunty and rania is going for some shopping for the chaand raat and Ramadan, you should go with them." Mr. Raees said, folding his hands behind his back.

"Its okay, I'll better be here. Besides I don't need anything." Shahnoor said with a disheartened smile.

'How can I go with them? They don't like me and I don't have any money though.' She thought, inhaling lightly.

"This is your house, you have your own responsibilities towards it. I hope you understand it and tomorrow you should go with your aunty as it will help you to understand your responsibilities better." He said with a smile as he tapped shahnoor's head before walking away.

With crease on her forehead as in deep thinking, shahnoor's form retreated. Making her way to her room, she plopped down on the bouncy mattress of the king size bed. Her dark green orbs fixed at the small chandelier. Her mind bombard different questions on her being, questions like what is she doing? What is she even trying to do? Will she be able to find the motive of her messed life? Will he accept her the way a husband should? Will their relationship ever be normal? Why didn't he showed up yet? Does he not to want to spend this blessed month with her? Does he...miss farah? Sighing heavily in tiredness she turned to her right and curled up into a ball.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The annoying ringtone pierced into the curtains of her ears as she made sounds of irritation. Than the phone died and she exhale in relief but soon it started ringing again. Frustratingly she stood up and Look at the caller ID.

Ammi.

She picked up the phone, sitting down on the cold floor near the D shape balcony.

"Assalamu alaikum." She greeted in a dull tone.

"Walaikum assalam meri beti (my daughter), what happened? Why are you sounding so dull?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked, getting concerned over her daughter's voice.

Shahnoor regretted picking her mother's call, it is only making her more sad. She can't understand why so? Tears after tears flowed down her cheeks as she sniffed quietly. But her mother knew that something is wrong and the light sniffing sounds were of her silent cry.

"Meri jaan (My darling), tell me what happened?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked getting restless.

"Ammi..he..he.. doesn't wa-nt to..to spend..rama-ramadan with me." Shahnoor said, stuttering. Mrs. Rukhsar brows drawn together in confusion of what happened?

"Did he told you that?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked.

"N-no..bu-but he told..ra-raees uncle th-that he will not co-come tomorrow." Shahnoor said, wiping her tears with the hem of her pale yellow dupatta.

Mrs. Rukhsar sighed in relief, she sat down on the sofa in the living room and look towards the photo frame of abdullah and shahnoor's. They were so naughty, both her children. She never thought that life would take this turn and her children would grow before their age. But one thing is for sure, her children won't be clever like other's instead they will remain innocent. Not knowing how the world works, Mrs. Rukhsar is concerned over the two apples of her eyes.

"Meri jaan, than how can you come to the conclusion so quickly? Shahzaib maybe got busy in his work, right? He will come back when he gets it done." Mrs. Rukhsar tried to make her daughter understand.

"Bu-but ammi..he is the boss.. can't he spare some time for his wife?" Shahnoor protested like a child, making her mother smile.

"Meri beti, that's the point. He is the boss, he needs to be there when his business needs him. And besides what do you think he is working for?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked, shahnoor's brows furrowed in confusion.

"I don't know ammi." She said to her mother.

"Idiot, its you. He is working for his family and you are his family." Mrs. Rukhsar said, making shahnoor think again.

"Ammi.. you sure?" She asked.

"Ofcourse meri jaan." Mrs. Rukhsar said with a forced smile when she saw farah passing by to her room.

Thats when she questioned herself, Is she really sure? Blinking on the forming tears, she look towards the another photo frame.

'Farah and shahnoor.. Ya Allah..'

"Ammi, where did you go?" Shahnoor's voice took Mrs. Rukhsar out of her bothering thoughts.

"I am here meri jaan, your ammi is always here for you. You are my strong daughter, remember I had teached you how to let go of the things that are not written for us?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked with disheartened feelings, she knew she had to prepare her daughter for worst or the best.

"Ji, I remember." Shahnoor replied, playing with the lace of her long kurti.

"Than how can you cry and take everything on your heart?" Mrs. Rukhsar asked.

"Ammi..I don't..know but..I..had been thinking..about this relation of our lately. He always calls me, makes me..no..my heart.. restless whole day. Even if I don't want to think about him, my..heart always become.. stubborn to let go of his words." Shahnoor said, stuttering with nervousness and timid feelings as her face heat up.

The small innocent confession of her daughter made Mrs. Rukhsar restless, this shouldn't be like this. How will she make fair decision for her both daughters? Will she be fair in this dilema?

Shahnoor's phone vibrated, indicating another call on the line as she saw the ID of the person who makes her heart restless. Clearing her throat she put the phone near her ear.

"Ammi, I'll call you later. He is calling me." Shahnoor said.

"Okay, take care meri bacchi. Allah Hafiz." Mrs. Rukhsar said with concern.

"Ji, Allah Hafiz." She replied and hung up than call back to shahzaib.

In no seconds shahzaib answered the call with furious tone.

"Why didn't you answer my call?!" He asked.

"Sorry, ammi called me. So I was talking to her." Shahnoor replied in dull tone.

"What happened? Are you sick?" Shahzaib asked, thinking about her disease.

"No-no, I am okay." Shahnoor replied quickly, not wanting him to get stressed out because of her as he always does that whenever it is related to her health.

"Than what's wit- oh! You mad at me?" Shahzaib asked, realising his fault.

Shahnoor hugged her knees as she look out of the glass window. Its snowing today, will she be able to see the moon with such cloudy weather? She thought comparing the darkness of night with her lonely life.

"Baccha? You there?" Shahzaib asked.

"Hmm.." shahnoor hummed, not wanting to talk.

"I know you are mad at me but trust me Janan (darling) I need to be here." Shahzaib said with wrinkled expression of concern.

But Shahnoor's attention got to only one phrase 'Janan'.

'He must have mistakenly said it.' She thought feeling all heating up.

"Are you going to ignore me again?" He asked, making her smile.

Does it matter to him? When I keep quiet? She thought.

"It bothers me baccha, when you don't talk to me. I miss us!" Shahzaib said remembering the old days in frustration.

Shahnoor blinked as she can't believe what she heard. He confessed something so unacceptable and that too suddenly without giving her time to take it. For next few minutes he kept on saying things she liked to hear, she never he will talk to her like that. Closing her eyes, she felt his voice..deep and velvety. Soothing out the frustration she felt an hour ago.

"Say something janan." He said it again, A whimper left her mouth as she felt chills on her petite figure.

Taking deep breath, she decided to tell him about tomorrow's plan but she wanted to tell him that she doesn't have money to go with Mrs. Jamila yet she find it hard to express.

"Raees uncle told me..to go with Jamila aunty and rania for shopping tomorrow." She said, biting the edge of her lower lip.

"Hmm..you should go. It will be better for you to go outside and get relaxed and don't worry about me, I will be there as soon as my work will be done." Shahzaib said.

"Okay~" Shahnoor said, sighing with heavy heart.

"Janan," Shahzaib called, making her heart jump out of pleasure.

Shahnoor never felt this pleased with unrecognisable joy, she wanted to close her eyes and only hear him say it again and again. It is not just driving her heart crazy but also making shahzaib blood flow ten times faster as he knew what he is doing. Calling her like that wasn't easy for him but he wanted her to know that he wanted their relation to go on another level and another until it reaches to the beautiful edge of what it is called..love.

"Y-yes.." She whispered, gulping.

"Go to my wardrobe." He said firmly.

"Wh-why?" She asked, confused.

"Just do as I say." He said.

"O-okay." She said, standing up and walking towards his wardrobe.

She only came in here once when shahzaib asked her to dress him for Jummah (friday) prayer. Now that she came again, a strong scent hit her. Reminding her about his presence.

"You there?" Shahzaib asked.

"Ji." She replied.

"Now walk towards the left corner closet where my jackets are." He guided her and she obeyed.

"Now pulled the jackets to the side and you will see a small locker in there. Did you?" He said.

"Yes." She replied, shortly.

"Now typed the password 2312." He said.

Shahnoor did as he asked and the locker opened, she blinked looking at the bundle of money in it.

"Now take out the amount you needed for tomorrow." He said, making her shock.

"Wh-what?" She asked.

"What do you mean by what? Don't you need money to buy anything for tomorrow? I know you don't want my money but its the money I have earned from my hardwork." He explained, making her feel guilty.

"Why are you doing that? I never mean it. Please don't misunderstand my words." Shahnoor tried to explain him.

"I don't know, you don't need to explain yourself. Just take it, it's all yours baccha." He said, making her heart restless.

"Are you going keep making me guilty?" She asked.

"I didn't do anything, I have works to complete. Gonna talk to you tomorrow and hope you enjoy your day tomorrow." He said in one go.

"When will you be here?" She asked.

"Soon.. but its not like you are missing me terribly or do you?" He asked, making her blush.

"I..need to sleep. Tomorrow is a long day." She excused, biting her lower lip.

"Ok, Allah Hafiz." He said and shahnoor bid my farewell before cutting the call.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"I miss shahno, when she'll be back?" Farah asked Mrs. Rukhsar.

"Soon beti, you should sleep now. You look tired and look at those dark circles under your eyes. You never had them before, you had such beautiful and lively eyes. Now they appear so dead." Mrs. Rukhsar said with sadness as she cares the chin of farah with her forefinger.

"When the dreams are dead, so will the dreamer eyes were. My only hope in this deadliest nights is my husband, shahzaib." Farah said with sad smile, the mention of Shahzaib brought worry in Mrs. Rukhsar's heart.

"Chachi, do you think he will forgive me? I mean ammi didn't forgave me and throw me out of the house but you are so kind to take me with you here. Chachi, He will forgive me na?" Farah asked with hopeful eyes, the worry in Mrs. Rukhsar's eyes made her heart uneasy but than her aunty smile for her comfort.

'I don't know farah, what to say? Or what to ask Allah for? I can only hope may the faith do not make you and shahnoor stand against eachother.' Mrs. Rukhsar prayed hugging farah while stroking her head gently.

Shahnoor's POV :-

"Don't you have any money? Look at you not buying anything." Rania said with the hint of sarcasm, I blinked before looking away.

'Patience shahnoor patience.' I reminded myself.

"Its not like I don't have money, Alhamdulillah your brother has already given me more than enough. If I want something than I will take it, you should shop cause you seem to never have enough." I said, as politely as ever.

Rania's face drained its colour, clenching her jaw she look around than her eyes caught her mother and stomping her heels on the marble floor she walked away. I sighed in relief, I really don't want to do any unnecessary argue with anyone. From tonight it will be start of the bless month, I hope I don't have to face any inappropriate struggle in the future.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Assalamu alaikum." I answer his call.

"Walaikum assalam, so.. done any shopping yet?" He asked.

"No, nothing." I said, with feelings of being afraid of his misunderstanding.

"Why not?" He asked, sternly.

"I have many clothes and jewelries, I really don't need the ones are here. If I will like something than I'll take it, don't worry." I said, I hear him sighing heavily.

"Are you sure? Or is it different matter?" He asked.

"Why can't you just trust me?" I muttered slowly.

"Ok, I trust you but please do take something you like." He said softly, I smile.

"Ok, take care." I said.

"Wait!" He said in quick tone.

"Ji?" I asked, than he cleared his throat.

"I'll video call you tonight, so get ready beautifully." He said, making my Heartbeats faster and palms moisten.

"You listening?" He asked.

"Ji-ji." I stuttered.

"So will you get ready for me?" He asked.

"Hmm.." I hummed, looking down.

"Shahnoor! we are going to another store! Aren't you coming?!" Jameela aunty shouted.

"I'll talk to you later, Allah Hafiz." I said before cutting the call.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

"Are you willing to keep roze (fasts)?" I asked daud on the call.

"Yes, its like I am newly muslim man. Before this I never have been so excited for chand raat or roze." He said, making me smile as I wear my jhumkas (earrings) while looking in the huge dressing table mirror.

"I am so happy for you daud," I said taking my whole hair to my left shoulder and putting on another jhumka.

"And I am with you as long as you will follow the right path." I completed.

"I can do anything for you noor, all I need is your support. I know you are far gone from my hold but you always stay in my heart. I always respect your modesty, and that alone is all for my living." He said, making me think about his well being.

'How are you all okay? Living all alone, without anyone taking care of you? ' I thought, remembering his smiling face yet saddened eyes.

"I am always there for you." I said, putting the phone on my ear.

"Can you do me a favor?" He asked.

"What it is?" I asked.
