I climb into the Uber that is waiting for me outside, glaring at Harry as I do so.
'It's okay, you can go back to sleep now. It will take about an hour to get there.'
I don't even protest, just close my eyes and almost immediately drift back off to sleep.
***
This time I am woken by Harry gently shaking me. I climb out of the car blindly, only really opening eyes once I am on the outside.
'Harry.. why are we at the airport?'
'Surprise' Harry laughs, doing jazz hands as he walks to the boot of the car. He pulls out two suitcases, thanks the driver then starts walking towards the terminal. 'Come on then!' He shouts!
As we sit in departures eating pretzels I quiz Harry on the trip. Where are we going? He won't tell me. How long for? He won't tell me. How on Earth did he get my passport and pack my suitcase? Alex and George helped him whilst I was at the gym.
Before we know it it is 7am and we have boarded our flight, still completely unaware of where we are going. Once we have taken off I rest my head on Harry's shoulder and drift back to sleep.
The landing wakes me, and I still have no clue where we are. Harry waits until we are on the tarmac before saying 'welcome to guernsey!' Oh okay, that makes sense. We climb into a taxi and drive to a secluded little cottage almost on the beach. An Audi is parked on the drive, but it all appears to be empty.
'Welcome to my second home.' The jazz hands appear again, and I finally let myself smile. The view is incredible, and I don't just mean Harry.

He pushes the front door open and gestures to me to go first. The cottage is beautiful, fully modern inside with a cosy log burner in one corner, a hot tub in the little garden.
'It is where I come when I want to escape' Harry explains as he gives me a quick tour of his home from home. Everything is white and black and glossy, reminding me of a show home. Everything had its place, not a speck of dust or dirt to be seen. I knew that Harry had an almost OCD when it came to cleanliness, and this cottage certainly confirmed that.
Harry showed me to the bedroom where we dumped our suitcases, before he convinced me to get changed and go for a short walk down onto the beach. I say beach, but it was more of a cove. Just the two of us sat on the sand watching the gentle waves, the hot sun beaming down on the two of us.
Eventually we begrudgingly headed back to the cottage. Harry had explained that he had called his mum the day before, getting her to stock the fridge and cupboards. He made us a quick lunch, taking me out into the small garden to eat. A jug of fresh juice, antipasti and Harry in the hot sun. This was perfection.

BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.
