You felt you had enough rest as you stood and stretched. Just before you were about to exit your room, Jenna opened your door. Guess I'll have to lock it? Or maybe just ask her to be more considerate...
"Oh, Hi Jenna... and Don? Thank you for welcoming yourself into my room," You couldn't help your slight frustration.
"I'm sorry (y/n), I just wanted us to discuss the other members," Jenna explained.
"Jenna. You're being totally weird about this. What is there to discuss?" You questioned.
"We could discuss how hot Dianna is," Don suggested. He seemed to be taking it just as seriously as you did.
"You think she's hot?" You were surprised. "She's kinda really scary if you ask me."
"Yeah," he had a sloppy grin. "You don't find that hot?"
"I mean..."
"Guys!" Jenna interrupted, "Could you please take this seriously? I've been in the library and I found something suspicious." You and Don fell silent. She actually found something?
"Well? Spill," Don requested.
"This book has several pages ripped out," she held up a book you didn't recognize. You sighed at her revelation.
"So? I have enough on my mind without being suspicious of everyone here," you sighed. "Can't you just go along with it? It'll be easier for you." You felt Quince's words come back to haunt you. Well, I guess he had a point... That I agreed with.
"I can't do that, (y/n)! this is my existence and I refuse to just 'let things happen,'" she retaliated. You shrugged.
"I can understand why you feel that way, truly. But if there isn't more concrete evidence for anything fishy, I'm just not going to be freaked out," you explained.
"Fine. I will try to respect your decision," Her gaze then softened. "Be careful, (y/n). I have a weird feeling about all this." You knew she was being kind, but you were struggling to not roll your eyes. Everyone was paying you special attention because you were nice! You were friendly, and kindness begets kindness, doesn't it?
"What, you don't care about my wellbeing?" Don teased.
"Get fucked, Don," you laughed. "Also get out of my room, both of you, please. I am leaving."
"What are your plans?" Don questioned.
"I don't know. Have you seen Jason?" You asked, thinking about the vague plans you made with him earlier.
"No, but Suki is watching movies," Don suggested. You decided that sounded like an ok idea for now and headed out the door. You held it open for the other two and ushered them out
"I guess I'll head there then. See you guys around!"
You tried to remember the way to the tv room as you walked around the weird hallways. You think the house might just be trying to swallow you whole at this point. You should really explore some of these rooms sometime. If they're still here when I come back, that is... you shook your head, trying to dispel the thoughts. Why would the doors change and disappear? That's silly and the stuff of nightmares. Still, you wouldn't put it past the higherups to fuck with you. You finally found some doors you recognized and picked up the pace. You found the right room and saw Don was right, there was Suki watching what looked like Kill Bill.

"Suki!" You bounced over to the couch, "Can I watch with you?" She looked happy to see you as she pulled you into a quick embrace before you sat next to her on the couch.
"Of course! I hope you don't mind gore?" She asked as Uma Thurman ripped the eye out of the other assassin.
"Not too much, but this getting pretty close to over, right?" You spoke over Elle Driver's screams.
"Yeah, relatively," Suki nodded. "But now that you're here, I hardly want to watch it anymore!" She slid her gaze to you. You stuck your tongue out playfully and looked back.
"What do you want to do then?"
"I want to show you something! Please come with me!" She jumped up from the couch without even hearing your reply.
"Ok! Lead the way!! Please don't carry me!" You laughed as she dragged you out of the room, the movie still playing as you left.
She led you through hallways and made so many sharp turns you were sure that you were in a labyrinth. Finally, she stopped... In front of a blank part of the wall?
"Suki, am I missing something? This is just the wall."
"Don't take everything you see for granted, young padawan," she said, and you rolled your eyes. What a dork, you thought with a smile on your face. She pulled a small latch near the floor and the wall opened to reveal a simple door that she pushed open. "You know, Descartes suggests that we can't trust our senses to give us a dependable reality."
"Yeah, yeah. Jason already gave me that whole spiel. What's this?" You questioned before she pulled you in and shut the door behind you. It was... a small room. It was dimly lit by fairy lights, like a cheesy Instagram aesthetic. There was a plush greyish-pink couch with a small circular table in front of it. The table was cluttered with water glasses and magazines. To your right was a bookshelf that looked like it was more movies than books. Stuffed animals were strewn about in a way that made the room look lived in, but not overly messy.
"It's my room," she softly held your hand. "My special room for when I want to be alone."
"Alone...? Then why am I here?"
"Because," she dragged you to the couch, "You're special."
"How am I special? You don't know me."
"I know that you're sweet and I know you're cute!" She grinned, trying to prove her point.
"I appreciate that you're trying to befriend me, but I don't think it's right to claim that I'm special when we hardly know each other," you hated to be critical like this. "it makes me uncomfortable." You kept your eyes to the floor. She ran a hand along your arm which sent shivers down your spine.
"Maybe you're right, princess, but I can't help but feel a click with you. Something tells me we were meant to be close," She breathed out. Her explanation helped ease some of your concerns, but you were still a little nervous. There may be some sense in Jenna's concern after all, you decided. "Tell me you feel it, too," She held your cheek and turned you to face her. You blushed and looked into her warm brown eyes.

"Maybe, I don't know," you stuttered. At this, everything was frozen for a moment. The air was cold, and you were worried that she was mad at you. But that would be unreasonable, right?
As soon as you began to get worried, the coldness disappeared. Suki smiled again and laughed, "Just playing! Gosh, you're so gullible (y/n)! I'll have to remember how easily you can fall for something like that," she kept laughing. Your cheeks stung. How embarrassing. "This is my special room, though. So keep it a secret ok!" she winked and stood up. She dragged you to the door, "I'm going to take a nap! See you around!" She pushed you out and closed the door before you could mutter a reply.
Suki breathed out and leaned against the door of her hidden alcove. Tears welled in her eyes and she quickly pushed them away, "What are you, a child? Suki, Suki, Suki. Suki, you are so stupid." She scolded herself relentlessly before calming herself down and breathing, repeating an "ok" to herself to keep herself calm. "Just gotta be more patient, is all," she decided before sprawling on the floor and resting.
------
You were little concerned about that whole ordeal, but you were also embarrassed that you were so easy to fool. You can't deny you had a trusting nature. She seemed so serious, though. Was it really a joke? You opted to not think of it and let it be something she can discuss with you later. You moved on autopilot and found yourself right in front of the library. I guess I'll go inside. You turned to close the door behind you but jumped as it slammed shut all on its own. You turned the handle, trying to open it and see who closed it. Just as your hands started to turn it, you felt a jolt on your fingers like a static shock. You held up your hands to see them disappearing at the fingers like dust. For a moment you didn't react and just watched your hands disintegrating. It got all the way to your wrist before you screamed and bashed your elbow into the door, desperate to get some help.
"What the hell are you screaming for?" A voice ran over from behind you. You turned toward him and held up your arms to show him your rapidly disappearing arms. Just as you looked back at your hands, you saw them just as they were. No dust and no disappearing. In your daze, you just ran your fingers across your hands as if to make sure they were really there. The voice that turned out to be Ryo stepped closer to you causing you to back into the door. "I asked you a question."
Your heartbeat sped up in fear, something about him was very intimidating. And rude. "I, I'm sorry. The door just slammed shut and it scared me," you omitted the part about your hallucination. He leaned his face down to yours. If you could clip into the door like a shitty Bethesda glitch you would.
"And that made you scream like that?"
"Yes..."
"That's pathetic. Get out of my way." He stood up straight and you scrambled to move. He tried the door knob and... nothing? He jiggled it a few more times. "What the hell? How is a door in this house jammed...?" He muttered before kicking it. He gave up and turned to you, "Did you do something to this door?"
"No! No, I swear I didn't!" you held your hands in front of you as a defense. Although his expression remained neutral, something lit up in his eyes.
"So you're stuck in here."
"yes..."
"With me," He pushed. You just nodded this time, too nervous to speak. The room stayed uncomfortably silent and the air seemed thicker than ever. Your eyes darted around the room, looking anywhere but at him.
He spoke again, "Then you should go sit somewhere else so that I don't have to look at you." All the stress of the conversation caused just a few tears to well in your eyes as you stepped back a few times.
"Why are you so mean to me?" You regretted the words as soon as you said them. You had a feeling you didn't want to actually hear the answer. Before he said anything, you turned and ran away. The room was big, so you did exactly what he said and found a corner to sit in. You held your knees to your chest and rocked back and forth. The door will come undone soon, Quince will realize our absence and fix the problem. You kept thinking to yourself when you heard footsteps. Seriously? Why did he follow me? He Crouched down and held one of your wrists away from your face so he could look into your eyes. Up close, his green eyes seemed even colder.
"The truth is I don't know how to react to you," He said quietly, his gaze never breaking from yours. "You get nervous easily," He gripped your wrist tighter. "I like it." Your tears had stopped, and you only took occasional shallow breaths. How am I supposed to react to something like that? And what does he mean? Your face was completely flushed. He didn't explain any further before dropping your wrist and walking away. This day has been crazy. Suki, I can excuse. But this? That was seriously weird. Everyone's really stressing me out! You stood up and decided to find one of the couches to rest on. You found one and slept easily. Stress was exhausting.
I hope if someone wakes me up it's someone nice...
