《Let me love you》33

"C'mere sugar plum."
"Pucker up gum drop."
"Stand still honey bun."
"My cute little Baby."
"Which nickname do you like better?" I ask as I wrap my arms around Heaths torso as I stood behind him.
Last night was like a movie, it was the best date I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot.
Just kidding.
Each day I spent time with him I was getting more and more obsessed. I just want to be with him all the time, he's so cuddly and I just want to pinch his cheeks whenever I'm around him.
I wanted to spend time with him today but he told me he had to come into the shop because Zoe kept asking and pushing for him to come. I tagged along because I wanted to and I was trying to be patient as the two of them talked but I was bored out of my mind.
I sigh when he doesn't answer my question and focuses on Zoe. I kick the back of his knees and he stumbles a little, looking back at me to send me a glare.
"Could you leave? You're distracting us and Im trying to have a work conversation with Heath." Zoe stops her chatter and looks behind Heath at me.
"She's staying." Heath speaks for me and I huff, going to the front desk to sit on the wheely chair.
She's bossy.
I start to spin on the chair because chairs with wheels are the best chairs ever. I accidentally knock over some papers when I push myself into a shelf and hope they didn't notice.
I bend down to pick up the scattered papers when their conversation grabs my attention.
"So are you going to the party Friday night? It won't be the same without you. Everyone else will be there, like old times." I hear Zoe speak, her voice sounding more high pitch than her normal tone.
I lift my head up and place the papers down before heading over there. I'm too nosy.
"What party?" I ask and they both look at me.
"Nothing." Heath said quickly and looked at Zoe.
"Just a party a bunch of friends go to, we usually have one every month. But Heath hasn't been around and we miss him." She looks at Heath as she says the last bit.
"We'll be there. Won't we, Heath?" I look up at him but he doesn't look too please about it.
"Oh. Well I was hoping only Heath would come. I didn't know you two were.. serious." She purses her lips and makes a weird face.
"Well me neither but then we went on a date yesterday and I asked him to be my boyfriend and he said yes. So I guess that counts as serious? I don't know. I don't really date-"
"Okay. I still have to talk to Heath about work so could you just stand like, over there?" She points to the corner of the room.
Make me.
"Sure." I smile but it's not genuine at all. I really don't get a good feeling around her but I shouldn't judge.
I go back to the wheely chair and wait for Heath. I spin ten times before I have to stop because I feel dizzy.
"Thalia" I hear Heath call me and I poke my head over to see him wave me over.
"Yes?" I ask but he doesn't say anything, he just holds me in his arms as Zoe goes on and on about a complaint some customer made of her.

I can see why.
Don't judge, don't judge. It's really hard not to.
"Wait before you leave. When are you working again? Could you stay today? I'm really having some trouble with the whole ink stuff, could you show me?" She asks, batting her eyelashes.
This seems too shady.
"No. Duke can help you." Heath tells her before walking over to the front desk.
"Wanna go?" He asks and I nod my head, yes please.
"I need a job. Do you think the boss would hire me here?" I ask playfully. I was in no way an artist let alone a tattoo artist, I'm afraid of needles.
"Can you draw?" He asks and I pretend to think about it.
"My dad can. But me? No." I answer and Heath writes something down on a book.
"Then no." He says and I frown. I really did need a job, I was almost nineteen and unemployed.
"Maybe I could work at Chilis." I think out loud as I wait for Heath to be ready.
"Hi welcome to chili's!" I said loudly, thinking about that one vine.
"I think I have it in me. Do you watch vines?" I ask him and he only shakes his head no.
Of course he hasn't, why do I ask. I really have to teach him everything I know because my man, cannot be uneducated.
Heath finishes up business like a Big Boss Man and finally we can leave. Good thing I do not work. Too many responsibilities for me.
"Where do we go now? Are you hungry? I'm not. Let's go shopping." I smile at the thought of being at a store, I love spending money. It's a problem.
"Want me to drive?" I ask Heath right as we were about to get into it.
Into the car.
"Fuck no." He says sternly and I laugh at his reaction.
"Let's make a deal. I'll teach you how to swim if you teach me how to drive. Then we both can learn from each other." I reason and hold up my pinky.
Ever since I taught him what a pinky promise was, he's been using it often to commit to promises and I do the same.
He attaches his pinky with mine and we seal our deal. Big Boss Man moves.
I scroll down my window as he drives and enjoy the blasting wind blowing in my face, listening to some tunes on the radio.
I gasp loudly as an idea pops into my head.
"What the fuck happened?" Heath asks, stepping on the breaks a little too hard.
"Sorry. I just got a good idea and got too excited. My bad." I apologize for scaring him.
"We should bake cookies. How exciting does that sound?!? Very exciting right? Let's go to Target." I point to the road even though there wasn't a Target in sight.
Im a little embarrassed to admit that I would spend my time watching couple videos when I was lonely but that only helps because now I have lots of ideas to do now that I have a boyfriend.
A hot one too. Very, very, hot. I get nervous if I look at him too hard.
Heath drives us to Target and I quickly storm in, grabbing a shopping cart with Heath following me. I look like somebody's mom shopping while the kid is bored out of their mind, Heath being the kid.
"Look at this dress. It's cute isn't it?" I hold up a vibrant orange dress that I did not think was cute at all but I wanted to know what Heath would say.

"You look like a fucking highlighter." He looks me up and down. I burst out laughing, he's too blunt at times.
But I'm glad he would tell me if I looked ugly.
"Come on, Let's go get what we came for." I push the shopping cart ahead of me and hop on the front, stepping on the little ledge.
"Push me." I tell him as I stay standing on the cart, Heath comes behind me and pushes the cart himself. I hope I wasn't too heavy.
"You wanna hop on? I can push you." I make him stop and get off.
"I'm good." He puts his hands in his pockets but I can tell he really did want to try.
"Just try it. I'll push you." I pat the handle and he hesitated before stepping on himself.
The empty cart, lifts up at his heavy weight and he almost ends up falling on top of me because I was behind him.
"Never mind, don't do that." I hold my stomach as I laugh my butt off.
"No fucking shit." He grunts as he stands straight.
"Excuse your language. There's kids around." I look around at the toddlers standing at the toy isle.
"Let's go get the cookie mix. Move it daddy long legs." I push the cart myself, going through each and every isle.
Let's just say for someone who was just going for cookie mix, we came out with five bags. But I needed everything I brought.
"Put it on, put it on." I nudge Heath and we both put on our matching Sun glasses.
Big Boss Man moves. Sunglasses make anyone look important.
"How do I look?" I pose and he poked my cheek.
"Like somebody's granny." He jokes and I chuckle.
"Yeah? Well then you look like somebody's pop pop." I laugh and get myself into the car.
"Shut up" He shakes his head and gets in himself.
"Step on it pop pop." I nod my head to the music on the radio and Heath starts the car.
I look over at him, it was a sight for sore eyes. How can someone make driving look so attractive. Just be Heath Jackson and bam, driving is attractive.
I knew getting sunglasses was a good idea. He drove with one hand as the other was out and about feeling the wind as he drove. His hair would fall messily as the wind blew right into him. His fingers would tap on the wheel as he tapped away to the rhythm of the music playing.
I look at him as I continue to bop my head to the music playing, he glances a few looks at me and starts following my lead, bopping his head slightly.
"You like The Beatles?" I shout over the wind, referencing to the song playing.
"Where is it?" He says back, I don't think he heard me.
"No, The Beatles." I clarify and he tilts his head, confused.
"I don't see one." He looks back at the road ahead of him.
"Never mind." I mumble realizing he couldn't hear me and I turn up the volume.
I sing along to the lyrics of the song and when I turn my head, he's already looking at me.
And he's smiling.
He looks... happy. It makes me want to shed a few tears.
I take out my phone and snap a quick picture of him in this moment. I wish he always looked happy like this.
He's so perfect.
Our joy ride is over once we make it to his house and I take out all of our shopping bags.
"Where should I place this down, sir?" I ask, standing in front of his living room with hands full of shopping bags.
"Drop it there." He nods, gesturing to the floor and I do what he says, letting my arms flops down as everything falls.
"Let's bake the cookies!" I get excited and start digging around in the shopping bags for the cookie mix. Eventually I take off my own sunglasses because I was inside.
I follow Heath into the kitchen where he stands, still wearing his sunglasses. He could wear them all day if it wasn't for the fact that I'd miss his pretty eyes.
I go through his fridge and take out all the ingredients. Heath sits on the stool as he munches on some cookies.
"Heath. Why are you eating cookies, if that's what we're gonna make? Never mind. Come here." I sigh and put my hair up into a ponytail.
"Why are you putting your hair up?" He asks, smirking as he walks towards me.
"Because we're making- Oh." My eyes widen in realization to what it was he was thinking.
"Are these cookies gluten free?" I change the subject and turn the box to read the instructions.
"Instructions are too boring. Just do what I say." I put the box down and put on the white apron I brought.
"Let me put your apron on, hunny." I stand behind him and wrap the strings around his waists, tying the back.
He takes off the sunglasses and I step back taking a look at him in an apron.
"You'd make a good house husband. Cooking and cleaning all day. I already got you your uniform." I chuckle, watching as he tugs on the apron.
"It's tight." He tugs on the neck area, it does look a little small around his frame.
"The secret is to suck in." I pat my belly and he loosens the string for his comfort.
" Welcome to baking with Thalia, are you ready to make the worlds best cookies?" I look over at him and he nods.
I start off by showing him and explaining what to do as he watches me do it first.
"Ok, now you can stir with the mixer and I'll pre heat the oven." I leave him there and walk over to the oven.
"Shit." I hear him curse and look over to see cookie batter all over his face and on the counter.
"I think it's broken." He says innocently, as he holds down the mixer.
I look at him in a messy state, batter all over his face and hands. He had one job. I burst out laughing at him and he glares at me.
"You have to put the machine on low when you mix." I explain through giggles.
He takes a deep breath and wipes some of the batter off of his eye.
"Oops, I forgot to tell you that" I continue to laugh and watch him come towards me.
"Oops, my ass." He says and wipes his dirty hand across my cheek.
"Hey! Don't do that" I use my hand to wipe my cheek and frown at him.
I wipe some batter off of the counter and put it across his chest. He steps back to get away from me but I only walk towards him.
"Get back here."
"No."
I follow him around with a sticky cookie batter finger and finally catch him.
"Get that shit away from me, Thalia." He pushes my hand away and I laugh at him.
He holds up his finger and holds it close to my mouth.
"Lick it." He smirks, putting his finger close to my mouth.
"Ew, no." I turn my head away and feel him put his hands on my waist as he sits me on the counter.
He stands directly in front of me and leans his hands on either side of my legs on the counter. He reaches my face with his finger and wipes some of the batter on my lips, before I could wipe it off he leans in and kisses me.
He sucks gently on my lips, managing to clean off the batter on my lips using his mouth. Is this sanitary?
I don't know, but it feels good. He kisses me a while longer until he backs away, I quickly lean in and peck him on the cheek. Tasting some batter.
"You got a little something right there." I point to his cheek and smile, looking at him.
We didn't end up making the worlds best cookies but we did end up with a mess that we had to clean up afterwards. I quickly cleaned it before Beau could get a taste and end up sick.
We would take breaks during cleaning to clean our faces, at least that's what Heath would do every time he kissed me.
