《Let me love you》9

"This idea is so crazy, but I'm in." Mateo says, I liked his attitude, he was always so pumped up about everything.
Him and Lola are perfect for each other. I think they might even be the cutest couple I've ever met.
"You two better stick to it, it'll be a night to remember." Lola says putting her arms around mine and Mateos neck.
Lola's idea of a fun night was to get a secret tattoo. And with my yolo mindset I decided why not? I mean I'm not that scared of needles anymore, my eyes just get watery but that's all.
"What should I get? A cheesy quote?? Beyoncés face?" I gasp at the idea of having a tattoo of Beyoncé.
"I know what I'm getting." Mateo says, now wrapping his arm around Lola's waist.
"I'm still indecisive. Let's not tell each other so that it can be a surprise." Lola says and we agree.
We had to walk a couple blocks from the party to some tattoo shop Lola knew about. She told me that she already had one tattoo behind her ear and this would be her second.
"It doesn't hurt, does it?" I ask, feeling kinda nervous about the whole needle part.
"Honestly mine did hurt a bit but that could just be cause my pain tolerance is unbearable." She explains and I nod.
"Yeah, Mines like super high. I probably won't feel anything." I said a bit too confidently. Hoping my words would be true.
We finally make it in front of the shop and I right away recognize the place. The outside looked small, the tattoo heading on the top of the building lit up in purple bold lights.
"I know someone who works here, maybe we can get a discount. Just Let me do the talking" I make sure they agree before walking inside.
The small bell above the door rings as we walk in and the place didn't look busy at all, except for the one man getting his arm inked up in the back.
There was a girl in the front desk, she had short bold purple hair and bangs, also lots of tattoos that made her look so cool. She looks at us as we walk inside but her main focus is on me.
"Can I help you?" She asks and I don't know if this is how she usually is or if she's giving me attitude, so I don't pay too much attention to it.
"Is Heath here? " I ask, looking around to see if I could spot his tall frame.
The girl looks me up and down and I can tell she's judging me. She didn't even pay any attention to Lola or Mateo behind me.
"Who are you? " she suddenly asks. I look her Over and see a name tag on her.
Zoe, it read .
"Can you just tell him his friend Thalia is here?" I lean over the counter to whisper to her and she clenched her jaw.
"Yeah, Heaths not in today. Sorry, you'll have to come back some other time if you're looking for him." She crossed her arms and kept her eyes on me.
I sigh in disappointment, I turn around to Lola and Mateo who were chatting between themselves .
"Sorry, guys I guess no discount. Now we'll have to pay full price." I shake my head, dammit.

"That's alright. Cmon I'm committed to doing this and you guys better be too." She walks over to Zoe and starts chatting her up.
"Right behind you, babe." Mateo gives me a smile before following Lola.
Lola tells the Zoe girl what she wanted tattooed and she was deciding where to get it done. Some other dude was talking to Mateo as they got them started but I guess I had to wait until someone was available for me.
I stand there facing Lola, watching as Zoe gets her ready for the process.
"Fuck" I hear a low faint voice and turn around to look.
"Heath?" I say, he was standing right there just looking at me as if he didn't expect me to be here.
"I thought you weren't working today" I said thinking out loud.
"I am" He says, looking at me.
"I can see that now. Will you give me a tattoo since everyone else is occupied?" I ask and he finally looks around to see the other workers with clients.
"You're getting a tattoo?" He sounds kinda Judgy when he asks, like he wouldn't except me out of all people to get a tattoo.
"No, I'm getting drugs. Duh, I'm here to get a tattoo." I said sarcastically.
He rolls his eyes and then turns around, I thought he was just gonna leave but he just goes to put some black gloves on. He walks back to me as he sits on a rolly chair that I want to sit on too.
"What are you getting?" He asks, and I bite my lip.
"That's the thing. I don't know." I shrug.
"What do people usually get tattooed on them?" I ask, I had no clue what I wanted yet.
"Anything" he shrugs and starts getting all the ink prepared.
Oh my God, that needle looks sharp. Nope, heck no.
"Does that thing like hurt? It doesn't does it? " I hope he would say no even if it really does hurt.
"Hurts a lot. Some people faint during the process." He flicks the sharp end of the needle.
I really hoped he was joking but he's never once made a joke around me so I doubt he was now.
"Oh." I look back and see Lola was already getting started.
"My mom would kill me if she saw I got a tattoo, she hates them. So I want to get it somewhere hidden where she won't be able to see it." I explain but he doesn't say anything.
"I was thinking my left thigh. But I was thinking maybe something small like you know a heart or a star or maybe even a smiley face, those are cool, right?" I ramble even though I was still unsure.
"Up" he taps the high chair in front of him and I sit where he told me to.
My hands are all sweaty again and I think my fear of needles was returning because I was actually scared.
"Pull your skirt up higher." Heath says, trying to get to my thighs. His right hand goes to my left knee, holding it in place.
"Woah, there buddy. No funny business." I said joking but he doesn't acknowledge my joke.
He takes a small wipe thingy and wipes my left thigh, luckily I wore shorts underneath my skirt so he couldn't see anything he wasn't supposed to.

I bite my lip and lean my arms back on the chair. Heath was really close to me now and although I was scared about the tattoo part, having him this close felt kinda dirty. His head was really close to my thighs and his gloved hands were on my legs holding me still as he focused on getting the ink ready.
"You know what,I think I'll take that smiley face." I said, smiling at him and he nods.
"Thalia! How's it going? Mines not hurting like at all this time" Lola tells me from across the room.
She was getting something done on her wrist and she seemed pretty excited about it.
"Me too, not hurting at all." I tell her even though he hadn't started yet.
I hear the buzzing of a needle and see Heath applying some ink onto the needle. He starts coming closer but I stop him before he touches me with that thing.
"Wait! Do I get a discount?" I ask, stalling. And I start shaking my right leg up and down.
He looks up at me and narrows his brows as he looks over at Lola behind me.
"I don't give discounts." He said mumbling still looking behind me.
"Fine. Tell me when you're starting, actually don't tell me- you know what tell me-" I stop talking when I feel his hand on my right leg, stopping it from bouncing.
"You're not getting this." He says and puts the needle aside. He starts cleaning everything up and I furrow my brows in confusion.
"Wha- What do you mean I'm not getting this?" I ask, he stands up now towering over me.
"I can tell you're fucking nervous, your legs bouncing. I'm not giving you a tattoo." His tone is alerting but he doesn't look angry at all.
Is he being nice? I smirk to myself at the thought of him actually taking my feelings into consideration.
"Fine. I guess if you really don't want me to get this, then I won't." I say shrugging making it seem like it was his idea.
"But still, could you give my friends a discount? Please" I tilt my head and look up at him.
His eyes scan my face before he responds.
"No." He answers and I furrow my brows.
"Please. I know you might not care but I actually made some friends tonight and I want them to like me, so if you could please do this for me Id appreciate it." I take a deep breath as I finish speaking all at once.
It looks like he was holding back a smile but he moves his attention back to the needle in his hand as he wipes off any ink on it.
"Plus, remember all the nice things I did for you? I walked you home even though I thought you were a creepy night walker." I cross my arms and swing my legs since I was still seated on the chair.
I find myself smiling at the memory of when I met him. He brings his attention to me again.
"You offered" he replied, kicking the wheely chair by so he could stand directly in front of me.
"Yeah, I did. Because I'm a nice person. If you could return the favor then that'll prove to me that you're actually a pretty nice person too." I say with a smile on my face, leaning into him more.
"Plus, I feel like we're friends now, right?" I ask but he shrugs before walking away and into the back.
Mateo seemed be done already so I walked over to him.
"Oooh Thalia, are you ready to see what I got?" He asks and I nod.
He sticks out his wrist and my heart awes, it was Lola's name inked in cursive writing with a heart next to her name.
"That's so cute!" I said, making Mateo smile.
They make me sick. It's not fair, I wish I had someone Who liked me enough to get my name tattooed on their body.
"Thalia!" I hear Lola's voice and turn to look at her.
"What did you get?" She asks, scanning me up and down.
"Right, about that. I forgot to mention I have a fear of needles. So I didn't get one." I purse my lips and chuckle lightly.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry if I made you feel like you had to get one. That's not my intention, I'm really sorry Thalia." She puts a hand on my shoulder and says sorry like a hundred more times.
"I don't forgive you." I said making sure I looked serious but I was really trying to hold in my laugh.
"Oh my god, do you hate me? I always push, and I don't mean to but-" I burst out laughing stopping her from talking.
"I was just kidding, I forgive you. Plus I would totally get a tattoo if it wasn't for the fact that I'd pass out if I ever came that close to a needle." She laughs at me and Mateo is about to show her his tattoo.
"What the hell?!?! Mateo, you did not just get my name permanently on your body." Lola gasps, taking his wrists in her hand.
"I told you it would be great, don't worry babe, I won't regret it, ever." He kisses her on the cheek making her blush.
Barf.
"Show us yours" i said and Lola shows us her wrists, it was an outline of a cat.
"Sorry, it doesn't compare to yours but I like it. Reminds me of Stella, she's my cat" She informs me and I gasp.
"I love cats!" I nudge her elbow.
She laughs and we head over to the register to pay.
Zoe's there and her eyes find mine even though I wasn't directly in her sight.
"Your totals 120, and that's with the whole discount." Zoe clears her throat and looks at me.
Either I'm really pretty or she's judging me because she would not stop staring at me.
"Oh my god, Thalia! You got us the discounts after all." Lola says happily.
I smile to myself because Heath actually listened to me. Even though I told him he's a nice person if he does this, I already knew he was.
