《butterfly; tsukishima kei》02

the street and ground was unfamiliar to me as i wondered around in confusion. lost in my own thoughts and following the gorgeous insect in front of me, i got separated from my group.

miyagi has been a place that i've been visiting ever since then, but for once, i met a street that i'm unfamiliar at. a path that might lead to peace or chaos, either i touch a petal or a thorn. however, i trust the little wings of this beauty.

i trust how it once lead me to that boy.

as everything become much more wider and i was left in an open place, the railings on my side. the butterfly flew higher and farther, i ran to catch up with it. my eyes never leaving its direction as i felt the wind blow in a gentle flow.

and the same pair of eyes that made my heart flip and explode from last week, shined in awe at the butterfly landing on his finger.

but my eyes landed on his own instead.

i touched a petal once again.

it never changes, the feeling and the butterflies dancing around my stomach. the wind still blows perfectly and calm, our eyes met once again. how i wish that there's no bell to interrupt us this time.

"tsukki!"

but the bell still rang.

and the butterfly flew away once again.

i watch how he gave me one last glance before running away to his friend. i stood there, staring at his figure with my heart still following him. his back faced me as he goes farther away.

why is it that we're always meeting each other, yet you fly away so fast?

"(l/n)!"

i snapped out of my thoughts as i turned around to meet kuroo's serious face. his eyes stared down at me as he sighed, kenma following him behind.

"i'm like a stray cat looking for his kittens that got lost." he complained, pinching the bridge of his nose dramatically.

"did kenma got lost too?" i asked and turned my head towards the pudding head boy.

"yeah..." he said as he shoved his phone back in his pocket.

i smiled and patted kuroo's shoulder, "you're playing against karasuno, right?"

he rose an eyebrow at me before answering, "yeah, you might get bored though."

i shook my head, turning my head to look at them as my eyes shine in excitement and hope, strands of hair almost covering it as the wind blows, "no, i'm actually looking forward to the match."

the bell will ring again and this time, i'll reach for the butterfly even more.
