An audible sigh was heard from the other end and a pause followed it as though it was apparent that Illumi did not want to proceed this conversation.
"What." A monotone voice finally arose to their own misfortune.
"You took care of Killua briefly when he was an infant, am I correct?~♣" Hisoka brought up as he drifted towards the couch and sat down, kicking up his legs so that it rested on the small table in front of him in a crossed manner.
Another pause was present as Illumi took his time to consider the magician's question. " Most likely."
A small sigh of relief escaped the caller. "Great.~ How do you do that?~♣"
"Pinpoint. What is the main concern."
"Hm~ Gon is hyper than usual. How do I prevent that?~♠. Hisoka said while looking at the child in his arm who was chewing on the magician's attire, creating wet spots on the fabric from his saliva. The magician sighed and gently knocked Gon over with his free hand onto the couch with little,to no pressure so that the infant was on his back. The man gingerly rubbed the baby's stomach in small circles in an attempt to get him to fall asleep.
"Compel him to run 20 miles in order to drain his energy." Illumi stated as though it were obvious.
One of Hisoka's eyebrows raised in question. "That's a bit excessive.. Wouldn't you agree?~♣"
"No." he answered bluntly.
"... Well, he also wants to touch items that are dangerous.~♣" The magician added.
"Let him." Illumi responded. "So he learns."
Well if he let Gon touch the outlet there sure wouldn't be anymore dangers since the kid would be deceased by then.
"Right..." Hisoka mouthed to himself.

The more he talked to Illumi the more he believes this was a mistake.
"I can't necessarily do that.~♣"
"Then discipline him."
"Oh?~ Discipline?~♠"
Now the man had caught his attention.
"Yes."
"In what way?~♣" Hisoka voiced in interest as he brought the phone closer to his ear, tapping his nails on the back cover awaiting for a reply.
"Shock him." the assassin spoke.
"As...in surprise?~♣" Hisoka questioned in doubt, hoping it wasn't what he thought he mean't.
"No. As in electric currents." Illumi affirmed.
Alright. Now it went downhill again.
"Well, I suppose I have an idea now, however-"
"Great. Bye." In an instant Illumi had disappeared.
The beeping of the end call notification echoed into Hisoka's ear to his dissatisfaction. His finger pressed onto the button to dismiss the contact and then powered off the device.
Hisoka lightly placed his phone against his lips whilst golden eyes observed the child who was now asleep, chest rising and falling in a predictable pattern.
"Hm.~♣" What Illumi suggested shouldn't be entirely dismmissed. However, it does need to be modified so that Gon's life doesn't end early.

Killua had went to the library and made a ton of missing person flyers. The librarians were shocked at how much the boy was printing and saw their money go down the drain right before their eyes. The boy rushed out without a moment's notice causing a few flyers to slip through his fingers due to haste. He had randomly placed his missing flyers all over town. On stop signs, buildings, light posts, and even on people, he made sure he littered the place with them.
On the flyer it had a recent picture of Gon and on the bottom of it it wrote "But as a baby and wearing a lizard outfit." Some people who viewed it laughed believing that it was a joke while others crumbled it up and threw it in the recycling bin as though it were a waste of time.

Killua had to rest for his heart was racing too rapidly for him to continue. His feet carried him to a bench and the ex-assassin plopped down on the wooden seating with a thud as he threw his head back in exhaustion. Killua huffed, allowing his breathing to slowly return to its original state. Irritation soon dwelled in him as the image of Hisoka popped in his head in a mocking fashion. He was so close to finding Gon but didn't look thorough enough which could've saved him the time from having to do any of this. "He's a.... dead ....man walking.." He spoke in between pants.
The phone in his pocket suddenly started to beep. Killua tiredly dug into his pocket and brought it out, turning up it's brightness to see who disturbed his resting time.
"Tch." The boy's tongue clicked in annoyance upon seeing the name.
It was from Illumi. Killua would've dismissed the text until he saw that there was also an attachment to it which poked at his curiosity.
Killua opened the message then waited for the photo to upload and what he saw shocked him.
-It's Gon?!-
The child was in a high chair and was stuffing spaghetti into his mouth like a chipmunk. Beside him was Hisoka staring at Gon with that signature smirk he always hated. Killua's eyes glanced down and viewed the caption below it which read "Look Killu. Dinosaur."
He felt that his senses has heightened to an extreme where even a breeze that slightly grazed his skin ticked him off. However, now he has some lead. He neglectfully forgot that Illumi and Hisoka were friends... well in their own way, and all he needed to do now was to persuade Illumi to take him to the clown. He went to his contacts and hovered over the call button in hesitation. He sighed prior to pressing his finger down.
The other picked up the phone in a heart beat before the second ring. "Killu."
The lack of emotion in his brother's voice made Killua's eye twitch in unease. "Illumi, I need your help." the boy uttered.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
