~4 months later~

I haven't talked to Daniel in 4 months and in that time I've changed for the better. I hang out with the basketball team, and now we're all so close. I joined the dance team with Bella and now I'm one of the best dancers in school. I started wearing better clothes and I started using makeup. I became a new person. I gained more confidence with the help of my new friends. I made it through the days full of positivity thanks to them. My best friend is still Andrew but now Bella has managed to break my walls and become my best friend too.

If I changed for the best, others have changed for the worst. Julie has become the Queen B and Daniel...he's become a jerk, a player, a bad boy. Gone is the golden boy who I grew up with. Gone is the cute boyish smile that makes the girl swoon. The Daniel now smirks cockily. He's become meaner. He seems to have a grudge on me for some reason...We're no longer friends. No, now he's just somebody that I used to know.

"Did you hear? They said there's a new guy from Canada who moved here and he's super hot" Bella says, interrupting my thoughts

"I wonder which group he'll fit into. It's either soccer or basketball. I'm not sure" she says

The whole school knows about the rivalry of the soccer team and the basketball team. Daniel despises Andrew, and Andrew loathes Daniel. Since they are both team captains, obviously their team would follow them. Whoever their captain hates, they hate them too.

"I wonder if he'll be Julie's new boy toy of the week, maybe month?" I say

Everybody knows that Julie is cheating on Daniel behind his back. They're that couple who says they're together for popularity, but they're not serious about each other. They always have their own new toy every week, and if your lucky, for a whole month.

"I'd say of the month. She hasn't had a proper toy for quite a while" She laughs

We head to English class, and a new face pops up amongst the crow. He must be the new kid. Bella was right he is hot.

"Damn...Told you so" Bella whistles lowly

"He's yours though, I have my own hottie" She says as she sits next to Hayden

I decided to sit next to the new kid, seeing as he looks so lonely.

"Hi!" I say cheerfully

"Hello" he grins

"So how's your first day, newbie" I sit down

"That obvious huh?" He chuckles

"Yup!"

"Well besides from having no tour, making me constantly lost and almost late to every class then yeah it was good" He says

"Oooh damn. That's rough. But hey I can give you a tour later" I say

"Why thank you" He grins at me

"No problem, newbie" I say

"It's Chris" he says

"I'm Verdana"

"Isn't that the font?" He says laughing. I glare at him

"Shut up"

I did as promised and gave him a tour. He's a really fun guy to hang out with. He's so sweet,funny,kind and just every girls dream guy.

"So what sports do you guys have here?" Chris asks

"Well there's Basketball,Soccer,Tennis,Volleyball, Table Tenniss and Swimming" I say. He nods in understanding.

"Why? what sport are you joining?" I ask

"Well I love soccer. I've been playing it since I was little" He grins

Dammit. Are you kidding me?! I know I shouldn't follow the band wagon and continue being friends with him, but I can't stand being near the new Daniel. Daniel will obviously be his new team captain and he will probably poison Chris' mind and make him hate me.

"Ohhh okay then" I say

"So wher-" I was cut off by accidentally bumping into someone. I look up and see Daniel glaring at me.

"Watch where you're going." He says coldly.

"You could've just walked around us. Or do we need to part the hall for the king of jerks" I glare back at him

"Watch what you're saying." Daniel says taking a step closer and I stand up straight to defend myself. Some guys from Basketball rush over to me and stand in front of me.

"Back off man. " they say

"Of course, she still needs some bodyguards to protect her. You've always been weak and dependent. You can't even fight your own battles."

"I fight meaningful battles. This fight your picking is just a pathetic."

Bella comes rushing to my side.

"You know last time I checked it wasn't you who got heartbroken. So I don't see why you're so mad and bad" I say low enough for only Daniel to hear

Daniel tenses. He glares at me and then storms off. The guys shoo everyone away from the scene and Bella turns to me with a proud smile

"Who was that?" Chris asks

"The king of jerks." I roll my eyes

"Aka the captain of the soccer team" Bella says

"Aka your team captain" I say

"Well damn." Is all he replies with

We let Chris sit with us for lunch and all of them liked Chris until Andrew asked if he wanted to join the basketball team...

"Nah I'm more of a soccer guy" Chris answers and everyone quiets down.

"Ohh. Well you're cool man." Andrew says and looks at me. I just shrug and continue talking to Bella

This rivalry runs deep...
