Louis' POV
I woke up to soft unnatural light, opening my eyes I could see that I was in a room with white walls. I sat up, almost scared that something had happened and this was a hospital room, but it wasn't, I was sleeping in a hotel room... We didn't even have a hotel in this town... Where the hell was I? I was alone in the room, I thought that if something had happened to me then there would at least be people in the room. I stood, feeling... Fine? Walking to the door I oppened it to a long hallway of more identical rooms, I walked down it before breaking into a run. Finding myself before I knew it in an elevator going down. I suddenly thought to check what I was wearing. Sweatpants and a t-shirt, I didn't even own the clothes I was wearing. The lobby was quiet as I made my way to the front desk.
"Umm hi, hey?" I adressed the man sitting behing the desk reading a magazine
"Oh. Excuse me Mr. Tomlinson, I didn't see you there. Do you need something?"
"You? Know? Me?"
"Of course... Do you need something?"
"Yeah. Sorry. I'm just a little disoriented for some reason... What exactly am I doing here?"
"Staying at the hotel sir?" He said it as a statement, but it came out sounding more like a question.
"Yes. But why? How? Where even is this?"
"The hotel sir?"
"I know this is a hotel..." I put my head in my hands
"Excuse me asking... But are you high?" The man asked bluntly
"Of course I'm not high!"
"Do you want me to call someone?"
"Yes!"
I gave him Harry's cell number.
He handed me the corded phone as it rang.
"Hi! You've reached Imogene Hurley! I'm not able to come to the phone right now, so please leave a message or call back later! Thank you!"
Okay... So that was not Harry's number... My phone wasn't in my sweatpants pocket, I thought I'd memorized Harry's number...
"Wrong number" I grunted
"Why don't you go back to your room for a while, before anyone catches on that you're out here all by yourself"
"What do you mean? That sounds creepy... Besides, I forgot my room key in my room"
"Fine, I'll get you another one" It took him a while before he produced a key card "Don't forget this one in your room"
"What's my room number?"
"203"
I wandered back to the second floor, eventually finding my room and goign inside.
I saw my phone lying on my bedside table, except it wasn't my phone, it was way too nice and way too new to be my beat up old smart phone with the cracked screen and screwy headphone jack. This was the newest iphone... I didn't have that kind of money. Except when I turned it on, it recognized my fingerprint and unlocked... I went to contacts, then found Harry under 'favorites' for some reason, Niall, and Zayn were in my favorites as well as Liam... What was going on? I rang Harry's number... No answer... This was really begining to scare me.

Harry's POV
Last thing I knew Louis and I were falling asleep in the sun while everyone else swam, next thing I know I wake up in a fancy hotel suite. My phone was ringing on the table next to my bed, before I could answer it the ringing stopped. I stood up, the room was empty, a suitcase lay against one wall, some clothes were strewn on the floor... I didn't own a shirt like that... And wait, that was designer clothing... And looking at my phone... The phone wasn't my phone, I checked the number that had called... Louis had called? What was happening? I rang his number back and got a busy line. I hung up, called back again, finaly I made a connection.
"Harry?"
"Louis?"
"What's going on Harry?"
"Where are you?"
"In a hotel... Somewhere... Everything is strange... We don't even have a hotel in our town"
"Wait, I'm in a hotel too... Find your room key if there is one" I looked around for my own before finding it
I opened the door to the hallway, meeting Louis right there. We'd been in rooms next to eachother. I hugged him tightly, both of us too confused.
"Oh, hey, you guys are up. And having a party I see?" It was Liam, Louis' friend. "By the way, we're all having breakfast downstairs in a bit if you'd like to join us. We have to talk about yesterday"
"Okay" Louis said as Liam headed down the hall "So they're going to explain to us what happened... Thank god, I thought I was going crazy"
We made our way together downstairs to the lobby.
"Good to see you again Mr. Tomlinson, glad to see you don't look so dissoriented now" The man at the front desk adressed Louis, it was odd and formal.
"Thanks"
We finally found our friends, sitting at a table eating hotel food.
"Grab something to eat" Niall told me, gesturing toward the breakfast room.
I put together a plate and returned to the table with Louis.
"So we were going to talk about yesterday?" I prompted
"Yeah, Harry... Your behaviour recenty has been unnaceptable..." I looked at Liam with a shocked expression
"But... We litereally just met..." I had met Liam yesterday... How could he decide if my 'behaviour' had been acceptable or not?
"I know you just met her... Doesn't mean you can't be nice to her"
"Nice to who?"
"Louis' girfriend? Eleanor?" My heart stopped
Louis choked on his waffle, spluttering for a while before regaining his breath. "My what?!"
"Louis? Are you high?"
"Why do people keep asking me if I'm high? I'm not high!"
"I'm sorry, did I miss something?" I asked "Last time I checked, Louis doesn't have a girlfriend..."
"Do you remember last night at all?"

A million possibilitied flew through my mind, but not one could I think of that was at all logical.
"I don't have a girlfriend" Louis muttered
"But Eleanor..."
"Liam... You know... Like I told you... This isn't something you just forgot right?"
"What isn't?"
"Well... You know what."
"I don't know what"
"I don't want to say it in front of everyone... I'm not ready for that" His voice was pleading and almost scared...
"Look. If you can say it in front of me then you can say it front of everyone"
"Liam, can I talk to you in private?"
"Not right now, we still need to talk to Harry about his treatment of your girlfriend" What had I done? What could I have possibly done?
"I don't have a fucking girlfriend!" Louis shouted "I have never had a fucking girlfriend!"
"Louis. Calm down" Liam said "I cannot believe you would actually get high at a time like this" He muttered under his breath
"I've never even done drugs, why does everyone keep asking me if I'm high?"
"Are you drunk then?"
"No!"
"Then what's wrong with you?"
"You should know what's going on Liam... You better than anyone... Did you forget everything after you went off to florida?"
"Florida? What do you mean?" He asked
I noticed suddenly that Liam's tan was gone. I had begun trying to follow this narrative, hoping it would lead to some explanation as to why we had ended up in a hotel who knows where, and Louis had a girfriend that even he didn't know about. Had we gotten drunk the night before and some crazy shit went down? Because the last memory I had was of us falling asleep in the sun.
"Where is this hotel?" I asked
"London... You know that..."
Louis and I exchanged a confused look "That's... That's like ten hours away"
"From what?"
"From home, what else?"
"What do you mean by home? Your mom's place?"
"My place... Where I live, with my mom and my sisters?" Louis said
"Did you hit your head last night or something?"
"I'm really confused" I stated "Like what's going on? Why are we in a fancy hotel in London? What's up with Louis having a girlfriend? And Liam, what happened to your tan?"
"My tan? What are you talking about?"
"We're in London to rest up before the big show in two days" Niall said "And Louis' girlfriend Eleanor, came to visit yesterday afternoon, and you treated her like shit, then we went to a bar and you and Louis had a big fight... Do you not remember any of that?"
"Not a bit, I mean, I don't even remember Louis ever having or mentioning a girlfriend"
"Because I don't have a girlfriend" He said
"You didn't break up with her did you?"
He put his head in his hands "I don't even know an Eleanor" He whimpered "What's going on?"
"What was the big show you mentioned?" I asked
"You know, our concert?"
"Oh... What band?"
"... Ours? Who else?"
"Our band? What?... Remind me what this band is called?" I said almost jokingly
"One Direction?" Zayn said, running a hand through his hair as if exsasperated at our behaviour
"One Direction" I said "I've never heard of it"
"You know, Louis... Harry... Why don't you go get some rest, Maybe we'll be ready to talk to you when you're in a more reasonable mood" Niall said. He'd never spoken to me that way. Niall was usually goofy, and hungry, and he'd tease me about whatever happened to be the topic of discussion. Now he seemed like a whole nother person.
Louis and I reluctanty left, heading back to the same room. We had things to talk about.
"Please tell me you and I are on the same page" I said, as we sat on the bed in my room.
"Last thing you remember is falling asleep on that rock at the lake?"
"Yes, exactly, hundreds of miles from London. It was the weekend, your friend Liam was back from florida with a tan, Niall brought his friend Zayn"
"Yeah. And then we were suddenly here, surrounded by nice things that aren't ours" He said "And everyones acting all weird, suddenly everyone thinks that I have a girlfriend, which I definitely don't have. Liam of all people should know better..."
"Niall was so serious. And then they were talking about that band? One Dimension or something? It can't be that popular or we would have heard about it right?"
"No... He didn't say it was just a band... He said it was our band, as in we're in a band that we didn't know existed"
"This is too high budget to be a prank. There's no way three people who barely know eachother would spend like several thousand dollars on something like this just to freak us out."
I whipped out my phone, tapping in a google search. All I had to do was type in the letter O and N, and the second result was 'One Direction' I cautiously tapped on the result.
It took me to a google search page that I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams. In images there were millions of creep shots of me, Louis, Niall, Zayn, and Liam. If I hadn't know any better I would have said they looked like celebrity paparazzi photos, but it couldnt be.
"Fuck" I said, tilting the screen to show Louis "We're famous"

Love Of Baybur [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
The Sultanate won a huge battle against their enemies of different religion, and now left them with only a piece of land surrounded by Sultanate's forces. Baybur, a yerliyya from a backwater place, is hailed as a hero after the war for his past contributions in a strange manner and is, thus, invited to a banquet prepared by the Sultan and attended by many Great Nobles. To Baybur, who had dreams of stepping on a higher stage in Sultanate's politics, and in his Orta's ranks, this is a chance for him to shine and rise. Yet he, and many in the banquet, knows that victory is far from over. And this presents a chance, with greater risk than before, to impress the Sultan and the Pashas of the Sultanate. Sanjak-beys and Aghas of the Janissary Corps all seek to devour their enemies, both in and out of the Sultanate. And Baybur, in the midst of this brewing storm, is no different from a fish dreaming to be a dragon. But a woman he meets at the banquet changes everything; his goals, his dreams, and his fate. After all, love, without expression, is a deadly curse. As a note, Cover is not mine obviosuly, and I write this both for NaNoWriMo and Writathon. To some history lovers and nerds who specialize in it, I know you might be angered quite a deal with some things I've written.(I get the feeling when someone talks wrong foolish things in a study I know, no hate) But this is a historical fiction written by a seventeen-year-old, don't expect much from me to know every single detail. Much of my research is surface level and some things are, well, to fit plot, are changed. So bear that in mind. For schedule/chapter thingt, there will be at most five chapters until I pass the 55.555 words mark. Each chapter will be around or above 10k+ words. It is also not edited, and probably won't be unless I find a great deal of time in my hands after November to see what I lack in where. That's all. Now go read, or leap to another fiction. Enjoy!
