"He is over there." Teahyung had helped me find Jungkook.
I thanked him and walked through the beautiful field. I see him seating at the hill. I smiled picking up my speed. Half way to getting to him I saw shooky running in my direction looking angrier than before. I stopped in my tracks and shooky did the same glaring at me with his arms folded.
"Hey Shooky." I smiled but he stayed silent still glaring at me. "Okay"
I stepped aside so I can keep moving forward but Shooky stepped in front of me stopping me. I stepped to the other side and he did the same.
"Oh I see what you are doing." I spoke. He just huffed.
I half stepped to one side and started running to the other side psyching him out. I chuckled as I got close to were Jungkook was sitting. Shooky was yelling running after me, luckily he couldn't catch up with me.
"Jungkook!" I called still running.
"Y/N?" He stood up turning.
"Stop Shooky." I hid behind him.
"Shooky stop. It's okay." He told the yelling cookie. Shooky stopped looking at Jungkook with cute sad eyes, then glared at me one more time and did the "I'm watching you" gesture before walking away.
"Dang when is he going to warm up to - WHOA." I tripped and he caught me right away.
We stared at each other. My heart racing at his closeness. My lips twitched forming a smile. He smiled back pulling me back to stand straight.
"I'm sorry. I seem to be a clumsy mess around you." He was still holding me.
"It's okay I find it quite charming." He laughed. "How did you know I was here?"
"A little birdie escorted me."

"Taehyung."
We stood there silently admiring each other, inching closer. Then suddenly like something snapped him out he averted his eyes and cleared his throat. He let go of me and stepped back. I backed up as well my cheeks flashing.
"So what brings you here?" He asked.
"You left without saying goodbye."
"Oh ya sorry. Taehyung called me. He needed my help with some important stuff." He lied.
"Tell her the truth." We heard Teahyung yelling from somewhere.
We looked behind us and saw a little Ta ta being pulled behind a huge tree. I looked back at Jungkook smiling. He shook his head with his fingers pinching his nose bridge.
"There is nothing between Namjoon and I." I began
"But you kissed."
"It didn't mean anything. It was a misunderstanding. There were no real feelings. I like you and that's real." I confessed. He stared at me shocked.
We stood like that in silence. Is he okay? Didn't he like me after all? I looked at him ready for rejection. It's okay at least I told him.
"Dude tell her you like her too!." We heard Teahyung yelling again.
"How about you give us some privacy nosy Nancy!" Jungkook yelled back.
"Sorry!" He replied coming out of the tree with his little entourage leaving.
"Tata" one of the little heart shaped face beings said with it's face dropped in shame.
Jungkook turned back to me grabbed my face and kissed me. Without even thinking about it my eyes flattered closed kissing him back. This felt right, this was it. I felt the sparks, butterflies flattering in my stomach. We slowly stopped and he leaned his forehead on mine smiling at me. I smiled back looking at him.
"I geuss thats your answer." We both laugh as he nod his head.
"I like you too." He pecked my lips. We stayed like that until I felt something hit my face.
"I deserved that." I laughed not even bothering to see who did it.

Twice Lived
Previously called Standard Reincarnation Story In a fraction of a moment, the Earth was no more. The planet was destroyed, and billions and billions of people were dead. And it was all an accident. This is the story of Elm. A regular American born once on earth and given a chance to be reborn again on a planet with magic and monsters and dungeons. Except that for Elm, this is far from the idealistic reincarnation into a loving family -- the standard story of a child raised by loving parents who teach him the ways of the world, Instead, Elm is born into a family of inquisitors. An order of nobility that is dedicated to hunting down and killing "Twice-Lived" -- the name society has for people like Elm who are reincarnated with all their memories of their past life intact. Disclaimer This story is: 1) Extremely violent and graphic. 2) Still in a rough draft stage. I see what I am writing more like a synopsis than a fully fledged story. I periodically will go back to flesh out earlier chapters, build characters, etc... If you find the words "Show don't tell," comforting accept that unfortunately, I'm not at that stage of the writing process yet. 3) At one point this story was called "Standard Reincarnation Story," and I had written an extremely off-putting description of the story. This was mostly to keep out people who would just read the silly first few chapters then rage quit as soon as the violent stuff got started. Since I just had my first .5 star rating (without a page read count increase) that technique is not working, so I might as well treat this as a regular fiction and try to get regular readers.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.
