"Wake up!" Mikey screams into Adira's room the next morning.

Vicky scrambles in behind her. "You ignored all our calls last night. Have you fucking seen what Amala did?"

"What? No," she mumbles, burying her face into Justin's chest. "Your loud asses just woke me up."

Justin groans, rubbing at his eyes. "What's going on? What time is it?"

"Amala and Zayn are together," Vicky says bluntly.

Mikey smacks her, narrowing her eyes at the girl. "We said we were going to break the news gently. That wasn't fucking gentle."

"I'm sorry, Mikey, but there was really no way to break that gently."

Adira sighs. "I know that already."

The room goes silent. Justin glances at Vicky, who glances at Mikey, who glances at Adira. Finally, Mikey says, "What do you mean you 'know that already'?"

Adira rolls off Justin and stares at the ceilings. After desperately trying to make sense of her thoughts in the midst of her morning haze, she answers, "I mean, I think they've been dating for months now. I saw her texting him when we were making the mini-doc. Didn't want to say anything because . . . unnecessary drama, and she's my sister."

Vicky shakes her head violently. "I don't think you said what I think you just said."

"I wish I didn't say what I just said. I've been trying to ignore it for the past few months. How do guys even know?"

"Zayn posted about it on Instagram," Vicky says.

Justin scoffs. "Fucking hate that guy."

Mikey nods. "You're not alone."

As if Vicky's words finally register, Adira gasps. "He did what?" she questions, voice heightened in shock.

Mikey clicks at her phone to show her the post, anticipation coursing through the entire room. "He did this."

Adira blinks. Rubs her eyes. Blinks. And rubs her eyes again. "You're kidding."

As if he could sense her earthshaking rush of anxiety, Justin grabs at her waist and pulls her into his lap, nuzzling his face into her neck. "Mmm," she mumbles.

"We're still here," Vicky says, jokingly gagging as she takes a seat in the white leather couch near the couple's bed.

Mikey sits at the end of their bed, her fingers tapping away at her screen. "It's been trending on Twitter. People are attacking 'Mala. You going to say anything about it?"

"Not my business. I didn't post that shit, and if she let him post that shit, she can handle herself."

Mikey huffs as she stands from the bed. "Fair enough." She shrugs. "I'm borrowing one of your swimsuits."

Giggling, Adira shakes her head. "Every time you say that shit you guys never even bring it back."

"What's yours is ours," Vicky interjects matter-of-factly.

At this, Justin lets out a slight laugh, tickling the back of Adira's neck. "Makes sense."

"We'll see you guys in a bit," Justin rasps out as he watches the door shut behind them and shifts his eyes to Adira. Her hair is sprawled across his chest, and her eyes are shut tight. "Bubs, you okay?"

A faint tear trickles down her cheek. She'd been hoping it wasn't real—that her sister hadn't truly ditched her that one day after her ex-fiancé's "Come over" text popped up on her screen. "I feel fucking lied to. She didn't even have the balls to tell me about it. I mean, I think I get it. How the fuck do you tell your sister you're fucking the man who put her in the hospital?" She lets the questions sit in the air for a few moments. "The worst part is I hate her so much right now, and I wish I didn't. I don't want to hate my sister."

Justin struggled with his next words. "I think you have every right to be upset. God, my sisters and brother are too small for me to worry about that"—she shakes her at this, chuckling—"but my best friend of a decade had an affair with my wife, and that felt like shit, so I know you have every right to be upset about this." He takes a breath. "I just you to know I'm going to be here for whatever you need."
