Jungkook was paralysed by fear. Last thing he felt was being pushed to the side, just as the huge metal board crashed to the floor. He fell down on his stomach as he was not able to balance himself properly.

Then he heard the other students screaming, although he couldn't figure out what they were screaming about. But one voice was able to break him from his trance.

"Taehyung!!! Oh my God, Taehyung wake up. Somebody call an ambulance!!" Liza was screaming in a panicked voice.

Jungkook stumbled to his feet. He couldn't have done it alone but Jimin and Yoongi was already there, pulling him up by his arms. He quickly ran to where Liza was kneeling down and saw Taehyung unconscious on the floor.

He wanted to say something, anything, but no words were coming out of his mouth. He simply sat there and waited for the ambulance to arrive, never taking his eyes off of the elder boy. Liza was frantically trying to wake Taehyung.

Ambulance came in about 5 mins later and Liza was getting on in it with Taehyung.

"Jungkook come on, get in. You have to hurry" Liza's voice was shaking.

Jungkook looked at his friends as he got on to the vehicle and they seemed to understand the plea in his eyes.

"Go on Jungkookie, we'll follow you too." Jimin said while Yoongi ran to get his car.

At the hospital, Taehyung was taken into the emergency unit. Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok came right after and Jungkook could also hear Liza calling Namjoon. He just sat there on one of the benches out side the emergency unit.

After a short while he heard someone running.

"Jin hyung!!" Jungkook ran to the tall man and hugged him tightly, crying on his shoulder.

Jin stroked the younger boy's back.

"Shhh... don't cry Jungkookie. What happened? How is he?" Jin asked from Jungkook but the boy was not in condition to answer and just kept on crying. Jin then looked at Liza with a questioning look.

"Who are you?" Liza asked wih a small voice.

"I'm Jin, Taehyung's brother-in-law." Jin said.

"Ah hello. I'm Liza, Taehyung's colleague. His arm was hurt by a metal board but the doctors are more worried because he lost consciousness has hasn't waken up yet" Liza seems close to tears.

Namjoon came running in at that time.

"Jinnie!! You are already here? How is he?" Namjoon hugged his husband who still had his arms around Jungkook too.

"Jungkookie, don't cry ok. Were you there too?". Namjoon asked patting the younger's shoulder.

"I-It was s-supposed t-to fall on m-me. H-he-he pushed me out of the w-way a-and got hit instead. It should have been me" Jungkook was struggling to get the words out.

"Oh no baby don't say that." Jin said hugging the boy even tighter.

"Yeah, I won't say it's better him than you, but it'll be easier for us to look after him with an injured arm than a pained heart" Namjoon replied.

Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok has been looking at the scene before them with surprise. They didn't know Jungkook's relationship with Mr Kim but it was evident that they are not strangers. Even his family members knew Jungkook. He was someone very dear and important to Mr Kim's family.

Just then the doctor came out from the emergency unit. "Who's Kim Taehyung's guardian?" He asked looking at the crowd.

"Yes doctor. I'm Taehyung's brother. How is he now?" Namjoon got up from his seat and went to the doctor.

"He's conscious now. But he'll have to stay overnight as we need to run some tests. He'll be transferred to a room now" doctor explained just as Taehyung is being taken to a room.

They all followed Taehyung to his room, except Jungkook's friends who decided to stay outside. Others waited until Taehyung got in to the bed and got settled.

"How are you brother?" Namjoon asked.

"I'm fine. It's just a injured hand. They said it'll be ok. You guys should go home." Taehyung said looking at the people around him.

They all seemed visibly relieved. After sometime, Namjoon, Jin and Liza said their goodbyes and went out of the room, leaving only Jungkook.

"Are you really ok?" Jungkook whispered.

Taehyung looked at him for few seconds. He could see that the boy's eyes were red from crying.

"Come here" Taehyung pulled Jungkook by his hand and made him sit on the bed. Younger boy kept looking at the floor.

"Look at me please" Taehyung said while stroking Jungkook's hand making Jungkook look at him.

"I'm fine. Hand will be ok in few days. Don't worry about it. Ok?" Taehyung said while looking at Jungkook.

"Why did you do that?" Jungkook was still whispering, unable to speak out loud.

Before Taehyung could answer, the door suddenly opened and a handsome guy came running in. Jungkook hurriedly got up from the bed and made room for the newcomer.

"Oh my God, Tae are you ok?" Jungkook watched as the new guy touched Taehyung's head, hand and even face.

Taehyung glanced at the younger boy and saw his trademark action for jealousy, poking his inner cheek with his tongue. He slowly removed the new guys hand from his arm.

"I'm fine Bogumie, but how come you are here?"

"I came for a business meeting today and it finished early. Thought I'll surprise you so I came to your university. People there told me what happened." Bogum said while holding Taehyung's hand.

"Ah ok. As you can see, I'm ok." Taehyung gave a small smile. Bogum smiled back and looked at Jungkook, as he'd only realized his presence.

"Did you bring him here? Are you one of his students?" Bogum asked with a wide smile.

Jungkook just looked at him for few seconds and turned to went out of the room. Just as he reached the door, Taehyung stopped him.

"Jungkook wait, you don't have to go. You can st.." Jungkook cut his words.

"No, I should go. You look like you're in good hands" Jungkook turned to go again.

"Are you running away again? For how long this time?" Taehyung couldn't keep the anger creeping in to his voice.

Jungkook was quite for few seconds. Then he left the room with one last say. "I'll come back tomorrow"

Flashback

"Kookie please stop. You are misunderstanding. It's not like that. Baby please let me explain."

"JEON JUNGKOOK!!"

"If you walk out of that door now, we are done."
