Y/n's pov:

As I was wondering the halls of hogwarts with Hermione carrying her books for her we see Lockhart tapping his nose in a "I know better than you" way to McGonagall. We look at each other confused since mione has started to see past his lies and open her eyes to the truth since the first session of dueling club when I dueled him. When I entered the great hall for breakfast the next day I see why and groan while looking around.

As I head towards the staff table ,with two of my magna guards, I start coughing and gagging at the scent overload from the giant flowers and lockhart's stupid robes and face. I have an invisible flame over the staff table to burn the pink heart confetti that is falling from the ceiling and all of the professors except lockhart look at me thankful that I put it up while Lockhart looks annoyed that I stopped the confetti over the staff table. I wave my hand in the direction of the four house tables so that the invisible fire is over the spaces where the food is.

Lockhart: happy valentine's day everyone! I would to thank all of you who have sent me valentine's day letters today and also meet my winged cupids who will be delivering your letters who you want them to go to today! Also if you would want to arggh!

Y/n: sometimes you need to shut up Lockhart!

I smirk as everyone except lockhart's fans laugh at Lockhart faceplants into a bowl of cereal after being shocked by my two magna guards. Everyone goes back to enjoying their breakfast after the laughter dies down.

Hermione's pov:

I was in the library looking for information on the monster of Slytherin with lily when a paper dove flew into the library and went to lily. When it landed in front of her it unfolded itself and lily opened it and read it and had a faint redness in her cheeks. I look towards the doors to the library when I hear a little piter patter of the otter twins and I see the cutest thing coming towards me. The otter twins were running to me with something in their mouths. I smile at their cuteness and take what they gave me which is a valentine's day card and a rose. I open the card and I smile feeling a little confused ,since I remembered seeing the handwriting before but I don't remember whose it is. It read "I love the way your eyes shine when you learn something new, get the spell correct that you are performing, and reading an interesting book. When the sun or moon light lands on you it makes you glow like a goddess. Your laugh has the beauty of birds singing on a beautiful day. Your smile is bright enough to make a room glow." I show it to lily and she has a look of recognition for the handwriting style. I looked at the valentine card I wrote for y/n and hid it in my bag at the bottom of the bag. Me, lily, and the otter twins left the library two hours later since me and Lily couldn't find anything about the monster of Slytherin. Hopefully I can get the courage to give y/n my valentine's day card someday.
