Y/n's pov:

It's currently the first week of Christmas break and I'm sitting in the snow looking at the landscape in all its wintery beauty. I decide to meditate and see if I can access any visions or just enjoy the peace around. As I'm meditating I sense three people approaching me.

(A/n: that is how y/n is sitting in the snow)

Hermione's pov:

Me, lily, and Lily's new friend mal were walking around outside when I notice y/n sitting there in the snow like he is enjoying the peace of Christmas break.

Mal: is that the death bringer?

Lily: oh yeah that's y/n.

Mal: why is it out here without winter clothes?

Hermione: he isn't affected by cold weather.

We approach y/n and I melt a space big enough for the three of us to sit next to y/n by using a hot air spell. The other two move to be on my right so that I'm sitting next to y/n since I told them that I like y/n.

Y/n: what's wrong mione?

Hermione: nothing just wondering why you are out here without any winter clothes on.

Y/n: I don't need those remember.

Hermione: yeah. So why are you out here?

Y/n: I'm enjoying the peace around me and ravage wanted to play in the snow.

We look and see ravage messing around in the snow like a little puppy seeing snow for the first time. I watch as Ravage sneaks up on lily and tosses a snow ball at lily using his tail then goes back to y/n which leads to a snowball fight which is me and y/n vs lily and mal. After our snowball battle we went inside to have something warm for lunch.

Hermione's pov still:

It was Christmas morning and I wake up to the otter twins giving me cuddles and handing me my blanket on my bed. They are so cute. I get up and go down to the common room with the otters and wait for the two idiotic boys. Eventually they come down and we open our presents. Lily gave me new quills, Harry gave me new ink wells, ron gave me candy like last year. I grab two presents from y/n and inside the first one is toys and treats for the otters. When I grab the second one it has a warmth like fire feeling even though it wasn't near the fireplace. I open it and a fireball shoots out of it and zooms around the common room with the grace of an otter swimming in water. It stops in front of me and it's an otter made of fire. I smile at the otter amazed by the beauty of y/n's ability with fire.

(A/n: couldn't find an otter version of that so that is how it looks but shaped like an otter. Also this is a photo of someone's Christmas gift this year guess whose it is.)

Lily's pov:

I walked down to the common room and when I enter the common room I see Draco arriving from coming up from the boys dorms. I go over to the tree and separated my presents from the rest of the gifts. The gift I open is from Draco surprisingly and its two horse necklaces and the horses are moving its legs which is surprising.

Lily: wow thanks Draco. Hopefully you like the gift I got you.

Draco: your welcome lily.

Draco opens his gift from me and sees a snake ring that comes to life and looks at his fingers then at him. Draco looks at me confused and a little scared.

Draco: uh lily what is it doing?

Lily: oh point to the finger you want it on.

Draco points at his left ring finger and it wraps around that finger tight enough to not slip off too easily.

Draco: woah that's a cool spell lily.

I blush slightly at Draco's complement. I smile at Draco.

Lily: th...thanks its a way for us to communicate over the summer. If you pet the snake its eyes will glow an emerald green then show me standing in front of you and you in front of me from the horse necklace that I decide to wear the day you want to communicate with me. Only we will see each other standing in the room and it doesn't show what is around us or give away any sounds of the area we are in.

Draco: wow that's awesome and smart. You clearly are the smarter twin.

Lily: yep.

I grab y/n's gift for me and I feel the warmth of a fire coming from the box. I open it and a fireball shoots out of the box and flies around the room before stopping in front of me and I see a baby horse or foal made of fire in front of me.

Lily: woah you are so majestic. I'll name you inferno.

Draco: who is th...that from?

Lily: y/n gave her to me.

Draco: how can you tell?

Lily: she has the grace of a female horse and because there is a note included with her.

Y/n's pov:

It was now dinner time and I was walking into the great hall petting the living metal dragon bracelet that Hermione and lily gave me.

I sit down in my seat and start to eat some Christmas dinner. As I'm eating I see the golden trio and lily looking towards Malfoy and his two stupid unggoy (a/n: if you know what that means without looking it up then you are cool.) that do everything he tells them. After I finish eating I start patrolling from the 3rd floor to my common room entrance.

Hermione's pov:

Me and lily watch the polijuice potion while we wait for the two idiots to come to us with the hair they're using.

Lily: so Hermione I've noticed that you have been looking y/n a lot during the year since he defended you when dra....Malfoy called you that name.

I blush slightly at being caught. I may as well tell her.

Hermione: I kinda fancy y/n.

Lily: really? What do you like about him?

Hermione: I lo..like how he is always there for me when I want to study or need a friend, when he defends me, plays with me as Ravage, teaches me about his family's advantages as death bringers over normal wizards and witches. Oh no I just remembered one of the advantages.

Lily: wow you are in love with him Hermione. Wait....what is it?

Hermione: pollijuice doesn't work against death bringers. They can see past it so he will see me, ron, and Harry sneaking into the Slytherin common room not crabbe, goyle, and bolstrode. He's patrolling the third floor to the dungeons tonight.

Lily: shit! This is bad....this is really bad. Wow you are really in love with him. Should we abort the mission?

Hermione: ok I admit that I'm in love with y/n but I don't think he feels the same way. Also we need to really hope that y/n isn't nearby when we leave the bathroom or enter the Slytherin common room.

Lily: yeah let's hope.

Hermione: so who gave you that horse necklace that you're wearing?

Lily: Draco gave it to me and I think I'm starting to fancy him this year.

Hermione: really? That's I guess nice of Malfoy to do.

Lily: yeah just don't tell Harry.

Eventually the boys show up and me, ron, and Harry take the potion. I run into a stall and I see I have a cat tail and fur.

Lily's pov:

After me and the boys exit the bathroom we hide behind a pillar as we see y/n walking down the stairs towards the first floor and dungeons. We reach the dungeons when y/n goes in them.

Harry: I think the Slytherin common room is down that hallway.

Ron: no it would be to our right where we go for potions.

Lily: just follow me.

Harry and ron: ok.

As we go towards the common room we get stopped by Percy.

Lily: what do you think you are down here?! The prefects aren't supposed to patroll where the death bringer is patrolling.

Percy: I am a hogwarts prefect. I can patrol wherever I want. I don't need to listen to some second year in a hogwart house by themselfs. I only listen to professor dumble-.

Draco: crabbe! Goyle! There you are. Pigging out in the great hall?

Lily: yeah they were Draco. Honestly they look like weasley when he eats. They were escorting me and mal to the common room. Why are they escorting us?

Draco: Slytherins look out for each other especially with whatever or whoever is attacking students. Also because your brother is a danger magnet I guess since the other slytherins said nothing bad happened till he came to the school.

We go to the common room entrance and Draco says the password then we sit in front of the fireplace with it's beautiful emerald green flames. Me, mal, and Draco notice the two idiots still standing.

Draco: well sit down.

The boys sit down.

Draco: that weasley thinks he can go wherever he wants and order everyone around. Honestly the weasleys are a disgrace to all wizards. Their father would gladly snap his wand and live among the muggles and mudbloods. Hopefully the monster of Slytherin gets rid of all the mudblood filths.

Harry: do you know who is behind the attacks?

Draco: I've told you before that I don't know crabbe. Honestly how many times do I have to tell you before it sinks in? Dumbledore probably is keeping everything quiet and he is the worst headmaster that ever existed.

Harry: you're wrong!

Draco: you think I'm wrong then. Well who do you think is worst than Dumbledore?

Harry: Harry and lily potter?

Ron: the death bringer?

Lily: me and mal are going to our dorm.

Me and mal go in the hidden empty room in the bookshelfs near the girl's dorms stairs.

Draco's pov:

Draco: saint Harry Potter, good one goyle. Everyone thinks that he is the heir of Slytherin pathetic! Lily is not the worse than Dumbledore goyle!

Harry: surely you must have some idea who it is then.

Ron: maybe it's the death bringer.

Draco: I told you already that I don't know. Honestly how many times do I have to tell you before it sinks in goyle! I don't see how the death bringer is the one behind all of this when he's friends with lily and that mudblood crabbe. It's only a matter of time before one of them dies and hopefully it's granger then my father will be proud of me for having the highest grades in our year.

I watch them run off and out of the common room in a hurry. I then see lily and mal run out of the common room as well.

Draco: hey where are you going crabbe and goyle?! Where are you two going?!

Hermione's pov:

I was being led to the hospital wing by lily and mal since Harry and Ron were laughing a bit at how I look. They got a pretty big scolding from lily, mal, and surprisingly myrtle. The idiots went to the gryffindor common room and laughing the whole way back.

Lily: we're almost there.

Mal: I'm sure pomfrey will have have you fixed up and ready for classes by the time it's time for class to begin.

Hermione: thanks mal.

Mal: your welcome.

Lily: I'm sure y/n would think that you look cute.

I feel the cat ears perk up at what lily said and I have a slight purr happening. Lily looks at me with a smirk and giggles at my reaction causing me to look at the floor. We enter the hospital wing and I get set on a bed and pomfrey sends lily and mal to their common room. Madame pomfrey gives me a potion that helps reverse the effects of the potion and I feel the fur on my face go away slowly as I fall asleep.
