"So. Back again, Harry and Y/N?"
I felt my insides had turned to ice. Both of us looked behind us. Sitting on one of the desks by the wall was none other than Albus Dumbledore, my grandfather.
Harry and I must have walked straight past him, so desperate to get to the mirror, we hadn't noticed him.
"G-grandpapa..."
"I- we didn't see you, sir. "
"Strange how nearsighted being invisible can make you," said Dumbledore, and Harry and I are relieved to see that he was smiling.
"So," said grandpa, slipping off the desk to sit on the floor with Harry and I.
"you, like hundreds before you two, have discovered the delights of the Mirror of Erised. "
"I didn't know it was called that, Sir," Harry said.
"But, I'm sure you do know this Y/N." Grandpa turned towards me and raised his eyebrows.
"Yes, grandpapa, The Mirror of Erised is an ancient, ornate mirror. It has clawed feet and a gold frame inscribed with the phrase "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi." The mirror shows the most desperate desire of a person's heart, a vision that has been known to drive people mad." I spoke, Harry looked at me, amazed.
I smirked, "and?" Grandpa added.
"And it shows the "deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts." The name "Erised" is "desire" spelt backwards as if reflected in a mirror."
Grandpa nodded and smirked, "well done, Y/N." He patted my head.
"Now, I expect you've realised by now what it does?"
"It -well - it shows me my family--"
"And it showed your friend Ron himself as head boy. "
"How did you know?"
"I don't need a cloak to become invisible," said grandpa gently.
"Now, can you think what the Mirror of Erised shows us all?" Harry shook his head.
"No, because the mirror didn't even show my parents at all." I looked at him blankly.
"Now let me explain more, the happiest man on earth would be able to use the Mirror of Erised like a normal mirror, that is, he would look into it and see himself exactly as he is. Does that help?"
Both of us nodded, "It shows us what we want...whatever we want..." Harry said.
"Yes and no," said grandpa quietly.
"Like what Y/N said, it shows us nothing more or less than the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts. You, who have never known your family, see them standing around you. Ronald Weasley, who has always been overshadowed by his brothers, sees himself standing alone, the best of all of them. However, this mirror will give us neither knowledge or truth. Men have wasted away before it, entranced by what they have seen, or been driven mad, not knowing if what it shows is real or even possible."
"The Mirror will be moved to a new home tomorrow, Harry, Y/N, and I ask you two not to go looking for it again. If you ever do run across it, you two will now be prepared. It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that. Now, why don't you two put that good cloak back on and get off to bed?"
Harry and I stood up from the floor, "Sir -- Professor Dumbledore? Can I ask you something?"
"Obviously, you've just done so," grandpa smiled. "You may ask me one more thing, however. "

"What do you see when you look in the mirror?" Harry asked.
"I? I see myself holding a pair of thick, woollen socks. "
Harry stared at him while I stare at my grandfather with a confused expression all over my face.
"Huh?"
"One can never have enough socks," said grandpa.
"Another Christmas has come and gone, and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books."
"You could have told me, grandpa." I playfully rolled my eyes as he chuckled at me.
"I'll do that next time, okay?" He smiled at me, and I gave him a thumbs up.
Harry and I walked out of the room; I turned towards him.
"I still have no idea what just happened," Harry said.
"Let's just got to bed." I chuckled, he walks me to the Slytherin common room portrait.
He covered his ears as I said the password. Then the portrait swung open.
"Well, I have to go now." Harry said, "Good night, Y/N."
"Good night Harry." I tiptoe a bit and kiss his cheeks and ran inside, leaving him there.

I looked around; it seems like I'm back again in the dream last time.
"Y/N?" I turned around to the owner of the voice; it was Tom.
I smiled widely and ran to him and hug him, "Hey."
He pushes me away gently and stared at me, "Is that all you have to say? After you left?"
"Well, um, sorry? You know, I don't belong in this world, Tom. Angels can't stay on earth for too long." I lied.
Last time I was in this dream, it was rather quick, and he somehow realises that I am not from his world.
Also, because my appearance somehow looks different, I have light h/c and deep e/c.
"Of course, silly me. I forgot that you are an angel." He walked towards me and tucked some hair behind my ear.
"I missed you so much Y/N."
"I missed you too so much, Tom."
I buried my face to his chest; he has gotten mature. His voice got deeper for a bit.
"Hey, you! What do you think you're doing?! Hugging Tommy like that!" Both of us turned towards a bunch of girls.
"We have to go," Tom said as he clutched my hand, and both of us ran.
We went to the forest, but since there is still daylight we are maybe safe?
"Salazar, I forgot how you have those 'fangirls' of yours." I shook my head as I catch for my breath.
"They sure do love you," I added.
"Love? What is that?"
Both of us stared at each other for a long time until he noticed something.
"I mean, it's not that I don't know it-"
"I get it, no worries."
I somehow felt uncomfortable; I have no idea why.
"Y/N, listen to me. You're the only who truly make me feel the word love, it feels weird and funny, but I somehow like it." He places his hand to my cheek.
But then I felt my body in reality move, oh no, I'm waking up.
"I am flattered Tom, but it seems like I have to go now. I'm sorry." I tiptoed and placed a kiss on his cheek.
I ran deep in the forest as I woke up.

Grandpa had convinced Harry and I not to go looking for the Mirror of Erised again, and for the rest of the Christmas holidays, the invisibility cloak stayed folded at the bottom of his trunk.

Harry told me that he wished he could forget what he'd seen in the mirror as easily, but he couldn't. He told me that he's been having nightmares.
Over and over again, he dreamed about his parents disappearing in a flash of green light, while a high voice cackled with laughter.
"You see, Dumbledore was right, that mirror could drive you mad," said Ron, when Harry told him about these dreams.
"It somehow didn't; it made me sad... How he somehow get to see his parents while I don't." I sighed.
Both of them looked at me with sadness in their eyes.
"I'm sorry about that Y/N."
"No, it's alright."
Hermione, who came back the day before term started, took a different view of things.
She was torn between horror at the idea of Harry and I being out of bed, roaming the school three nights in a row ("If Filch had caught you!"), and disappointment that we hadn't at least found out who Nicolas Flamel was.
After some days, more students came back to the school along with my Slytherin friends.
Kayden and Henry told me lots of stories about how they spent their Christmas at the Grey manor.
Ben and East told me that they went to the Muggle world and had a tour, not going to lie, but I was so jealous.
I wanted to check out the other world so badly, but I don't want my uncle and aunts to get worried.
Also, we had almost given up hope of ever finding Flamel in a library book, even though Harry was still sure he'd read the name somewhere.
Once term had started, we are back to skimming through books for ten minutes during our breaks. Harry had even less time than the other two because Quidditch practise had started again.
Same goes to me, and I have to go practice for the Quidditch too since I am a seeker in the Slytherin team.
꧁☬⋆ᴺᴼ ᴼᴺᴱ'ˢ ᴾᴼᵛ⋆☬꧂
Wood was operating the team harder than ever. Even the continual rain that had replaced the snow couldn't dampen his spirits. The Weasleys complained that Wood was becoming a fanatic, but Harry was on Wood's side.
If they won their next match, against Hufflepuff, they would overtake Slytherin in the house championship for the first time in seven years. Quite apart from wanting to win, Harry found that he had fewer nightmares when he was tired out after training.
While your team are working hard too, and have been thinking of a strategy to whoever which team will win.
Then, during one particularly wet and muddy practice session, Wood gave the team a bit of bad news. He'd just gotten very angry with the Weasleys, who kept dive-bombing each other and pretending to fall off their brooms.
You walked to the Quidditch pitch, and watch them practice.
"Will you stop messing around!" Oliver Wood yelled.
"That's exactly the sort of thing that'll lose us the match! Snape's refereeing this time, and he'll be looking for any excuse to knock points off Gryffindor!"
George Weasley honestly did fall off his broom at these words.
"Snape's refereeing?" he spluttered through a mouthful of mud.
"When's he ever refereed a Quidditch match? He's not going to be fair if we might overtake Slytherin. "
The rest of the team landed next to George to complain, too.
"It's not my fault," said Wood. "We've just got to make sure we play a clean game, so Snape hasn't got an excuse to pick on us. "
"Pardon me for interfering your conversation, but I have talked to my uncle- I mean I have spoken to Professor Snape that the game should be still fair no matter what." You spoke, as everyone snaps their head towards you.
"I hope so Y/N." Fred sighs as he rested his chin on your head.
Which was all very well, thought Harry, but he had another reason for not wanting Snape near him while he was playing Quidditch...
The rest of the team hung back to talk to one another as usual at the end of practice, but Harry headed straight back to the Gryffindor common room he invited you to come with him, and you gladly agree to the offer.
Where you both found Ron and Hermione playing chess, chess was the only thing Hermione ever lost at, something Harry and Ron thought was perfect for her.
"Don't talk to me for a moment," said Ron when Harry sat down next to him while you sat down next to Hermione.
"I need to concen- " He caught sight of Harry's face.
"What's the matter with you? You look terrible." Ron said.

꧁☬⋆ᵞᴼᵁᴿ ᴾᴼᵛ⋆☬꧂
We are all currently at the great hall, doing our homework.
Speaking quietly so that no one else would hear, Harry told the other two about uncle Severus sudden, sinister desire to be a Quidditch referee.
"Don't play," said Hermione at once.
"Say you're ill," said Ron.
"Pretend to break your leg," Hermione suggested.
"Really break your leg," said Ron, I smacked his head and glared at him.
"I can't," said Harry. "There isn't a reserve Seeker. If I back out, Gryffindor can't play at all."
But then at that moment, Neville toppled into the great hall. How he had managed jump towards us because his legs had been stuck together with what they recognised at once as the Leg-Locker Curse.
He must have had to bunny hop all the way to the great hall; Everyone fell over laughing except Hermione, my friends and I.
"Leg-locker curse?" Ron said.
"Malfoy," said Neville shakily, Harry sighed and shook his head not even surprised about it.
"I met him outside the library. He said he'd been looking for someone to practice that on."
"Go to Professor McGonagall!" Hermione urged Neville. "Report him!" Neville shook his head.
"I don't want more trouble," he mumbled.
"You have got to start standing up to people, Neville," Ben said, as the three sat down with us at the Gryffindor table.
"How? I can barely stand at all!" He said as he was wobbling uncontrollably.
Seamus jumped from his seat, wand at the ready "I'll do the counter-curse!"
"Oh, no..." I heard the four whispered as they buried their faces on their hands.
"No, that's all I need... You to set my bloody knee caps on fire!" Neville said.
Everyone is already staring at us, the four perk up after what Neville said.
Seamus slams his wand down "I don't appreciate the insinuation, Longbottom. Besides, if anyone cares to notice, my eyebrows have completely grown back!" He pointed at his eyebrows.
He stalks off angerly, showing a large chunk of hair missing from the back of his head.
The others laughed as soon as they saw his back hair, I rolled my eyes.
