"I -- told -- you," Hermione gasped, clutching at the stitch in her chest, "I -- told -- you. "
"We've got to get back to Gryffindor Tower," said Ron, "quickly as possible. "
"Malfoy tricked you," Hermione said to Harry. "You realize that, don't you? He was never going to meet you -- Filch knew someone was going to be in the trophy room, Malfoy must have tipped him off. "
She's right, I should have known, and now we are I trouble.
"Let's go. "
It wasn't that simple. We hadn't gone more than a dozen paces when a doorknob rattled, and something came shooting out of a classroom in front of them.
It was Peeves. He caught sight of them and squealed with delight.
"Shut up, Peeves -- please -- you'll get us thrown out. " Peeves cackled.
"Wandering around at midnight, Ickle Firsties? Tut, tut, tut. Naughty, naughty, you'll get caughty. " he said.
"Not if you don't give us away, Peeves, please. " Y/N said, he stared at her for a while.
"Should tell Flich, I should." said Peeves in a saintly voice, but his eyes glittered wickedly.
"I'm sorry Y/N, but it's for your own good, you know."
"Get out of the way." snapped Ron, taking a swipe at Peeves; this was a big mistake.
"STUDENTS OUT OF BED!" Peeves bellowed, "STUDENTS OUT OF BED DOWN THE CHARMS CORRIDOR!"
Oh my Merlin, ARRGG
꧁☬⋆ᴺᴼ ᴼᴺᴱ'ˢ ᴾᴼᵛ⋆☬꧂
Ducking under Peeves, the five ran for their lives, right to the end of the corridor, where they slammed into a door, and it was locked.
"This is it!" Ron groans as they pushed helplessly at the door, "We're done for! This is the end!"
They could hear footsteps, Filch running as fast as he could toward Peeves's shouts.
"Oh, move over," You snarled. She grabbed Harry's wand, tapped the lock, and whispered, "Alohomora!"
The lock clicked, and the door swung open -- they piled through it, shut it quickly, and pressed their ears against it, listening.
"Which way did they go, Peeves?" Filch was saying. "Quick, tell me. "
"Say 'please. '"
"Don't mess with me, Peeves, now where did they go ?"
"Shan't say nothing if you don't say please," said Peeves in his annoying singsong voice.
"All right -- please. "
"NOTHING! Ha haaa! I told you I wouldn't say anything if you didn't say please! Haha! Haaaaaa!" And they heard the sound of Peeves whooshing away and Filch cursing in rage.
"He thinks this door is locked," Harry whispered. "I think we'll be okay -- get off, Neville!" Neville had been tugging on the sleeve of Harry's bathrobe for the last minute. "What ?"
You turned around and saw, quite clearly, what. For a moment, you were sure you'd walked into a nightmare, this was too much, on top of everything that had happened so far.
They weren't in a room, as you had supposed. They were in a corridor. The forbidden corridor on the third floor. And now they knew why it was forbidden.
"This is going to be fun..." you mumbled.
They were looking straight into the eyes of a monstrous dog, a dog that filled the whole space between ceiling and floor. It had three heads. Three pairs of rolling, mad eyes; three noses, twitching and quivering in their direction; three drooling mouths, saliva hanging in slippery ropes from yellowish fangs.
"DOGGIE!!!" You screamed and about to go over the dog, but Ron quickly grabbed your hand and shook his head no fast, terrified.

It was standing quite; still, all six eyes staring at them, and Harry knew that the only reason they weren't already dead was that their sudden appearance had taken it by surprise also seems like the monster is familiar with Y/N, but it was quickly getting over that, there was no mistaking what those thunderous growls meant.
Harry groped for the doorknob -- between Filch and death, he'd take Filch.
'I have to get her safe not to put her in trouble.' All in Harry's mind was your safety. Harry groped for the doorknob between Filch and death, and he'd take Filch.
They fell backward, Harry slammed the door shut, and they ran, they almost flew, back down the corridor. Filch must have hurried off to look for them somewhere else because they didn't see him anywhere, but they hardly cared -- all the five students wanted to do was put as much space as possible between them and that monster. They didn't stop running until they reached the portrait of the Fat Lady on the seventh floor.
"Where on earth have you all been?" she asked, looking at their bathrobes hanging off their shoulders and their flushed, sweaty faces.
"Never mind that -- pig snout, pig snout," panted Harry, and the portrait swung forward. They scrambled into the common room and collapsed, trembling, into armchairs.
It was a while before any of them said anything. Neville, indeed, looked as if he'd never spoken again.
"What do they think they're doing, keeping a thing like that locked up in a school," Ron said.
"If any dog needs exercise, that one does."
"Ronald Weasley, that dog is cute and not obese! That dog is just huge." You crossed my arms.
"You don't use your eyes, any of you, do you." Hermione snapped. "Didn't you see what it was standing on."
"The floor?" Harry said, "I wasn't looking at its feet. I was too busy with its heads."
"No, not the floor. It was standing on a trapdoor; it's obviously guarding something." She said and glared at the boys.
"That's true..." Come to think of it, that dog has been there.
"Y/N, do you perhaps have any idea what's its guarding?" Hermione turned towards you and shook your head.
"Nope, I would sometimes go there to pay with the dog when I was younger. But I was caught so, I don't think the dog remembers me, and I don't even know its name." You shrug.
"Anyway, I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could all been killed or worse, expelled, now, if you don't mind. I'm going to bed."
Ron stared after her, his mouth open.
"Now, we don't mind." He said.
But then before Hermione left, she gave me her attention again.
"Y/N, you better go now. Or maybe you can sleep here; you don't want to get caught. Right?" Hermione said.
The boys turned to you; all you did was stared at them and chuckled.
"I think I'll be fine, and I'll tell him I was having a nightmare, so I decided to go out for fresh air." You looked at them, they all shook their head.
"But you'll still get in trouble."
"Oh please, I get in trouble a lot, or at least give other people trouble." You laughed.
After that, you left them and run to the dungeon; you quietly walked to the common room.
"Seems like you didn't listen to me, huh." You looked at the owner of the voice.

"Seems like you didn't listen to me, huh." I looked up to the owner of the voice, and he was sitting on the couch.
"And seems like you really did chicken out, and even told mister Filch about students being in the trophy room." I glared at him, he walked towards me and brushed my hair against his finger.
"I won't answer that, but you didn't listen to me, I told you not to go there, didn't I?" Draco looked at me
"For your information, Draco Lucius Malfoy. I was worried about my friends, and I don't want anyone to get hurt, so if the duel was really going to happen, at least I'll be there." He held my hands.
"But still Y/N-"
"Oi, get back to your damn dorms." Both of us looked up and saw my four friends with their arms crossed too.
"You four ruined the mood." Draco glared at them; I let out a chuckled.
"Glad to know, Y/N. Let's go." Knight looked at me, and I nodded my head.

I walked to the garden, and I saw some Hufflepuff students. But I put my attention to my book again.
But then I bumped to someone, I looked up, and it was that handsome Hufflepuff that everyone talks about.
"Hey." He smiled.
"He-hello." I smiled and nodded a bit.
"I'm sure you know everyone in the school since you grow up here, and it's still a bit weird we didn't have a chance to talk." He rubs the back of his neck while smiling at me.
"Th-that's tr-ue." Merlin, what's wrong with me? Why do I keep stuttering, this only happens to Percy and Oliver.
Please don't tell me...
"No way... THERE'S ANOTHER BOY WHO CAN MAKE Y/N BLUSH MADLY LIKE HOW SHE TALK OR SEE PERCY AND OLIVER?!" I heard the twins yelled, I look at Cedric back and saw them glaring.
"I-I... I AM NOT BLUSHING!" I ran towards them while clutching the book towards my chest. Once I'm in front of them, I hit their head with my book.
"Ouch! What was that for, princess." Fred looked at me while George rubs his head.
"I.am.not.blushing." I tried hard not to get embarrassed or flustered, so I glared at them.
"Awe, look at this Georgie, our kitten is mad. She's so cute." Fred pinched my cheeks.
"A cute angry kitten," George chuckled and pinched my cheeks.
"St-stop it!" I pointed at them.
"Awww."

"You've been talking to that Hufflepuff, lately," Draco said and sat next to me.
"Do you mean Cedric? Also, he's nice. And don't be rude, he's our senior." I said and took a bite of my dinner.
"Who cares, you're a Slytherin, and he's a Hufflepuff. And he's older than you." Draco stopped eating and stared at me.
"Draco, please. Don't argue with me right now, we are eating, and many people are here." I sighed.
He gave me one last look and sighed along with me then nodded his head, "fine."
I looked around the table, my friends have been sitting away from me, and they've been occupied because of the punishment they received.
"Dracy, how come you don't sit with me anymore." Both us looked up to Pansy, who is sitting in the middle of Vincent and Gregory.
"Parkinson, please shut up. I do not want to hear your voice while eating; I do not want to throw up everything I just ate." We all turned our heads toward the four Slytherin students eating not so far away from us.
"Why are you so mean to me! You're lucky all-boys dorms are full, and professor Snape and the headmaster let you sleep with us, Knighty!" Pansy yelled while pouting, and now all the attention is on us.
The Great Hall went silent, all the house was shocked by hearing the news; all the boys stared at Knight.
"Is not like you didn't like it." Knight scoffs. "I would even catch you staring at me while I'm sleeping."
"Wait, Knight sleeps on their dorm?! With the girls?!" "Mostly sharing the dorm with Y/N?!" I heard the twins shouted; everyone got angry.
I looked over to my uncle and grandpa, asking for help.
"Children! Quite down. And Knight seems like the secret is out." Grandfather spoke, which made us all stop.
"I'm fine if I change dorms. Even if I say I'm a girl, no one will believe me anyway. Ever since I was born, everyone noticed how I got my father's looks; everyone thinks I'm a boy. So, what's the point." Knight sighed and stood up.
"I'll give you another special offer, a new dorm. Just to be safe." Grandpa smiled at her.
My eyes light up; I stood up, "really?! You're not kicking Knight out?!"
"Yes, I am not. Knight is a student here in Hogwarts." He said.
I looked at her and smiled. She did the same and sat down again.
➱➱➱➱
Ever since what happened to the dinner yesterday, everyone started whispering some stuff.
"Do you want to share my old room instead?" I looked toward Knight as both of us are studying at the library.
"Wait, what do you mean by 'share.' Huh?" She looked up to me.
"I don't want to share dorms with them anymore; Pansy piss me off. Also, the way she would cling towards Draco, ugh." I rolled my eyes.
"Seems like you're jealous." She snickered.
"I.am.not."
"Sure, if that's what you say. Also, are you sure about sharing a dorm with me?"
"Yes?"
"Moreover, when I told you I was a girl. How sure were you about it? Did you even think if I was lying or not?"
"No? It also seems like uncle Severus knows that you're a girl too."
"Well, that's what I said and my parents too."
"Come to think of this... Aren't Knight have daughters? I didn't know they have a son. Are you sure your name is Kayden Alexander Knight? Or-" She stopped her movements.
"Y/N, how can a Hufflepuff made you blushed. The others told me that his name was Cedric Diggory, he's good looking, don't you think."
She's changing the topic...
"Pfft... Well yeah, he is."
"So, you are into older boys."
"Stop it." Both of us laughed.
After some hours, we walked through the hallway.
"Hey, Knight! Is it true? Are you a girl? Hahaha! Strip down, let us check if you're really are." Some older Hufflepuffs ran towards us.
"How about you? Are you really a boy? Strip and give me proof saying you're a boy." Knight glared at them.
"Feisty, aren't we?" He smirked.
"Leon, stop that. They're first years." I saw Cedric join the conversation.
"Oh come on, Ced, it's not like a first-year caught your eyes too," Leon smirked towards me.
"Leon, no." Cedric glared.
"But hey Ced, good luck. Many boys here in the school have their eyes on this little one, not going to lie. But I have my eyes on her too." He winked at me.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)

Dungeon Crawler Katia
The aliens killed everyone on Earth...almost. Every structure, from the Taj Mahal to the lowliest lobster trap, vanished into the earth, killing everyone inside. The survivors were given a choice: Endure on the surface without food or shelter or tools, or descend into a world-spanning nightmare dungeon that is also a reality TV show. Katia, an art professor from Iceland who has given up her humanity to transform into a shapeshifting doppelganger, meets up with Carl and his cat, Donut. Together, the three fight to survive in a dungeon filled with Clarketech goblin murderdozers and pyramid-scheme fairy moonshine-makers. The above is, of course, describing Dungeon Crawler Carl. With DoctorHepa's (the author) permission I'm posting some fanfic to expand on Katia, one of the secondary characters who started off not getting as much exploration as I would have preferred. I started off writing chapters that matched up to canon except from her POV instead of Carl's; that lasted a couple of chapters before going off the rails and spinning off into a completely new story, which suggests I should really go back and renumber all the chapters as soon as I find some tuits.
