《Bebita》In those Three Day's|| chapter eighteen

HIS PERSPECTIVE: I watched her fall into a slumber. I watched the same man the caused her pain carry her and cradle her as if he cared. but he didn't. the cops dragged me out of the house moments after Kinsley drove away with her father. my mother continued screaming at the police to let me go yet they refused.
they continued to tell her they had to take me in I had lied. I couldn't think properly, a million thoughts ran through my head. 'is she okay?', 'what is he doing to her?',. I sat in a cell and had waited till what they were gonna do with me next. my name was called.
I looked up to see my parents and our family lawyer next to them. the cop opened the holding cell and begin to rub my face, but I just pushed her hands away. " how did you guys manage to get me out". my father shook his head and walked away as the lawyer followed. my mother continued with the question of how my three days in a holding cell had been.
we walked to the front where my eyes had met him. everything had come back all at once, driving her home, not seeing her for weeks, her bandages covering broken bones and bruises painted across her skins from her father's hands. " you son of a bitch!" I screamed. "where is she, what did you do to her!" he continued to stay still not bother by my attempt to hurt him. my father and cops held me down.
" I simply came to the police station and explain that keeping you here was unnecessary, my daughter has a way of words and had gotten you caught up in her lies which I once again, apologize for," he said looking from me to my parents. "I had also come to ask if Kenny had left anything at your home that it gets returned back to me please, and untouched". I looked at him stupidly "if we don't touch it how does it get back to you jackass" I spatted. my father head hit me in the head for my comment. " I deeply apologize for anything that my son has cause towards you and your daughter".
kins father just nodded his head and smile. " well, kids will be kids" he laughed and my parent had joined in with the laughter. I shook my head at them, they were always good at sucking up. my mother had come up to me and rubbed my back. " if you can excuse us me and my son will be on our way, any of your daughter's items will return to you untouched" my mother said smiling.
he just smiled back and nodded. my mother grabbed my hand rather tightly and dragged me out the door to the outside. my father and his lawyer shook hands and parted ways before my father met us to the car. " what were you thinking brian, how could you even" I've learned to drown my father out as the years went passed. as for my mother, she was never around for me to listen to her. I closed my door and rolled up the window letting my father know that the conversation was over.

"I think he gets it now, go back home to your wife ill take care of my son from here," my mother said closing her door and rolling up her window avoiding anymore conversation from him as well. that's one thing we had in common when it came to my father. my father just shook his head at the both of us and walked away from the car as my mother pulled off. she continued to give me glances on the way home, even tired holding my hand but I kept them tucked under my arms. once we arrived at the house I hurried to the door trying to avoid the conversation I knew my mother was about to spring upon me.
" now wait right there young man you have some explaining to do, you may not want to talk to your father but you will talk to me about it". she claimed as she placed her purse on the kitchen counter. " what I need to do is find out what is is the kinny has that he doesn't want me to touch, maybe I can use it against him and get her awa-" "enough brian!" my mother said slamming her hand on the counter. "these three days have been hell for me, worrying about you harboring strangers in my house, you in jail and not to mention he could've pressed charges on you but he didn't thank god too". brian had got tired of his mother's complaints, she never once sat down with him and let him speak it was always her doing the talking, but this was different it wasn't about her or him, it was about Kinsley.
" the first time I met Kinsley I was an asshole, a complete asshole and I wished every day I had treated her differently from what I did after we met," I said staring into my mother's eyes. My eyes had felt with tears just thinking about my first encounter with the girl. " but I thank god I met her, and I thank god for bringing her to me, she has bruises up and down her body broken bones and covers black eyes with makeup, she flinches whenever you raise your hand and cries in her sleep when shes having a bad dream about him, he's been beating on her ever since her mother passed away and I, we could've prevented it from happening again, yet you don't listen not even to your own son desperately trying to tell you wants going on". My mother looked toward the floor to avoid my glare, I to let out a dry humorless laugh. " you said your life has been hell for three days while she's been living with the devil for years and when she finally escapes, when she finally can go to sleep without wake up to dry tears on her face, what do you do mom, you give her right back to him" I walked up to my mother turning her face so she can look at me.

" I don't give a shit about what you've been through for three days if she dies the blood is on your hands".
and with that, I left my mother speechless while I went upstairs. everything in sight became a blur as my emotion got the best of me. I should've given her a car and money and none of this would've even happened. I didn't mean to blame my mother but at the same time, she should've listened to me.
I closed my room door rather loudly and began to thrown things everywhere giving my heart what it needed, what it desired.
Pain.
I was in pain, I was hurt, I was guilty with the fact that I couldn't do anything. I wished she was here under my arms eating pizza with me, or in the shower humming loudly. Visions of her began to play in my head like old records and I missed every bit of it. I missed her. I missed my bebita.
I continue my rage throwing everything till I felt tired. I looked around at the mess I had made glad I let some steam off, yet pissed I had to clean it up. I began to pick up stuff that had got in between my emotional storm putting it back where it belonged. I saw Kingsley's bag slumped over. The closer I had gotten I had seen an envelope peaking out.
I grabbed it and look inside. I thought maybe they were Kinsley letter explaining what she had been through living with her abuses father, but the more I looked at the letters I noticed they weren't hers; they were her mothers. I read them, reading over the letter the wife had written of her sick husband until they came to an end. then it was a letter with his name on it.
dear Kevin, this is a letter from us.
we've done things we aren't proud of, even too scared to admit what we have done. despite our sickness and despite what we had done to her, what we made you do, she still took you back, she took us back. she doesn't know about the tape, she was unconscious when it had happened. she can't know it happed, she can't know. shell leave us. you probably won't remember writing this after you start taking your pills again. we are sorry. we won't hurt anyone anymore. not her or baby kinny, we love baby kinny.
forgive us, Kevin, take your pills.
keep us away.
I was disgusted with what I had read, we? 'who were we?'. I scooted the letters around finding the tape. it wasn't hard to notice it, maybe Kinsley had seen it already, but what could be on this tape to make him..., them write about it. he looked at the tape and noticed it was a VHS tape. I soon rushed to the attic door sliding down the steps before climbing up to find the old tape player I had when I once had a family. I connected everything to my tv and prayed that the old thing still worked after the years had passed.
God had answered my prayers when i saw insert pop on the screen, yet I was afraid of what happened next. " mom come quick!" I yelled, I needed all the proof I could get to take this sick fucker down, even if the person was my mother. she quickly came up the stairs. " brian what happened to your room, it looks like a tornado hit is" she says looking at all of the sheets everywhere. I picked a random one up and gave it to her.
" if these are the girls, her father said that these were to be untouched-" my mother had paused as she continued to read. she picks up another one and read it and another one. soon my mother's face went from confusion to horror. "what have I done" she said with her hand over her face. " I think these were what he was saying to leave untouched mom, its something on this tape" my mom took the tape out of my hands and inserted it in herself. the screen went black before we were met with a horrific view. I saw a lady lumped against the kitchen counter on the floor with bruises everywhere. " oh my god!' my mother had screamed covering her mouth at the view. the camera had caught every angle of the woman as if it were a painting being adored.
"they told me to do it, you shouldn't have lied to us, we could've killed you" he whispered.
he continued to display his work of art on the screen before it went black. I snatched the tape out of the player and gave it to my mother who was crying. "here you take these tapes and letters and take them to the police now mom". she got up grabbing the letters and the tapes as she cried harder. " what have I done".
I grabbed my jacket and raced down the stairs grabbing my keys. my mother was hot on my hills still clutching the letters and tape. "brian where are you going" I turned to look at her " I'm going to kill that son of a bitch, take those and go to the police now!" I ran out the house ignoring my mothers pleads for me to stop.
I couldn't.
I had to go save Kinsley.

Another world
For some, this old story would always be altered, but the outcome was always the same. 'The Evening Celebration.' Some blame humanity for provoking them, while others accuse monsters from another realm, and a few believed it was all merely the devil's fault. There is now a killer in the city. Attacking all the young ladies, pulling something from within them, and abandoning them on the doorsteps of their loved ones. Exactly similar to the old story. Will this issue ever be resolved, or will it be the start of something new? Ignoring the matter is also an option. Continuing with their everyday routine is generally a wise decision. That's just for the time being, of course. Till the plot leads them to someone they should have never encountered.
