TODAY was one of those days when you reflect on everything you've ever done in your life. The day when you think about the past and compare it to the present. Today was the day every average teen would wake up put on there clothes and run down stairs, still a piece of bread and run out the door to start their day at school. Kids like me start my life on the floor after last nights beating feeling every bruise seeking itself deep into you, brain replaying every word that was said. Yesterday's past coming back to remind you that you there's a difference between fantasy and reality and some people have to live this reality every day.
But not all day though.
My reality gave me a second chance of life, a different expectation of the world. Or at least the better side of it. But once you've been in a bad space it seems like life has a cruel way of telling you a joke. After that, if you enjoy just the slightest bit of the other side it'll be taken away from you in a snap of your fingers. It always goes like that. It always happens like that. I enjoyed the slightest bit on the other side.
I and white don't argue as much anymore. For the past weeks and months, it's been as peacefully as they come exactly. He would come home from school I would run down stairs to greet him and we would order a pizza while we did homework silence. By the end of the night, we would get ready for bed and watch friends til we both fall asleep. My father continues the search back to make, cry after cry, tear after tear.
The media shows my face at least two times out of the week. My anxiety let up on me finally and decided to let me live for once. " you got the limo out front, hottest styles every shoe every color" I mumbled to my self. This was the only time in the day I could watch old shows without being laughed at by Brian. I heard the door shut and I instantly turned the tv off and walked downstairs to greet white.

" Brian white why aren't you at school, we have had this conversation too many times about you not showing up to school". And I stopped at the stairs, my breath stopped flowing in and out of my nose. She turns from placing her purse on the floor and turned around and jumped. "Who the hell are you".
I couldn't speak I couldn't move; not even an inch.
White running through the door with his hair everywhere. He became the same as me. Motionless and speechless. " Brian do you know who this girl is, why is she in our house". He looked at his mom and looked right back at me. Anxiety decides to make an appearance again feeling my brain with possible what if and what's next to come.
"She's been staying here for a while mom, I can explain it all just sit please" she looked at her soon and then looked back at me. And her eyes trained back on me. And those pictures that show twice a day on the news comes to mind, and the crying father and the thousand of people going around calling my name. "I know you" she points walking closer, "they've been looking for you for months now and you've been hiding in my house" her voice rises with each step she takes towards me. I take steps back and white takes steps forward. " mom I can explain everything if you just let me," he says grabbing her.
"No" she screams as she turns to white, taking her focus off of me. "They've been looking or this girl and she's been in my house hiding out and you let her" "there's a reason though mom" "there's no explanation for this Brian you have done it now, do you know what will happen if they find out she's been here" Brian shakes his head walking forward more."Mom please I can explain everything just listen" She shakes her head and walks back over to the table " I'm going to call her father and try to explain to him what's been going on, he's been worried sick have you not looked at the news" she reaches a phone out of her purse and begins to dial the same number that's been repeated all over the news.

White and his mom Begins to go back and forth about the situation that occurs and I couldn't take a second of anymore. "enough Brian" I said cutting the both of them off. They both stopped to look at me. "She's right Brian I should go back home"
He looks over to be with blood shot eyes
"Kingsley do you fucking hear yourself he's going to fucking kill you" I shook my head against his words. " everything will be fine Brian stop overthinking," his mom said still on the phone.
She walked towards me signaling the quiet to remain quiet. " hi, sir I'm calling on the behalf of your daughter, yes turns out she's been living in my house without my acknowledgment" I stand still with tears running down my face as I thought about the moments I spent with white.
I felt even the slightest bit of happiness even if it's being only for a short amount of time. White walks towards me and grabs my arm. " we have to get you some money and a car so you can get out of here" I shook my head pulling my arm away from him. I grabbed white's face and kissed him. I kissed him as if the sun would never shine again as if the flowers would never bloom as if I would never see him again.
Our tears began to mix as the poured from our eyes. "I love you bebita, I love you so fucking much please don't do this please". I nodded my head and kissed him again and again and again "I love you too brain; more than you ever know, more then you'll ever understand"
I go to grab a kiss from him again but he was snatched away from me. My eyes met two police officers one putting white and handcuffs while the restrains whites mom.
"Wait why are you taking my son, you can't take him" I looked at white, but his head was faced towards the floor with tears dropping hitting it. " ma'am your son is being arrested lying to authorities and being involved with the missing of misses knight". "No, it was all me I promised he didn't know I was here I broke in" I went running towards Brian but a set of arms wrapped themselves around me. I turn a met the eyes of the one I have loved and feared for years. My father looked down at me with no emotion on his face and looked towards the cops.
"Thank you for telling me where my child is, I apologize for whatever my child has placed upon you". Brian's head snapped from the ground and what was once a face of sadness turned to a face of anger. " you get your filthy hands off of her you fucker, tell them what you do, tell them how you beat her for no reason and why she misses weeks of school. My fathers eyes trained of Brian while everyone's eyes were trained on him. " you were telling this boy I laid hand on you kinny, I would never" he lets me go and walks out of the door only to come back in with pills and papers. " you see after her mother died she been diagnosed with depression and tends to lie a lot" I trained my eyes on the same blue bottled pills my father kept to put me to sleep for when I refused to leave somewhere with him. "she just needs to take her medicine and she'll be good as new isn't that right" he takes out two white tablets and hand them to me. "She tends to get sleepy from the medication, but it keeps her from trying to cause harm to herself or others around her. I looked at Brian and mouth that I love him before I take each pill at a time. Who thin minutes I see white trying to break free of the cuff and reach to me but I'm no longer in the state of mind to react. I waved towards white before darkness Welcomes me back home.

Both of them survived that battlefield, and they both decided to return back to their Village. He woke up one day, only to be greeted by a floating panel of light. [Name: ... Marcus][Race: ... Human][Class: ... ... ...] [Hero] [Welcome to the System] What is a village-born Hero to do, but answer his calling? Current schedule: No chapters for the next few months. I'm still writing the entirety of Volume 2. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter

How A Villain Builds A Kingdom
READ THE WARNING Amadeus Devereux was born into a rich and powerful household. But he did not pursue power like his brothers because of his love for art, flowers, and poetry. Until one day, a servant arrived in the garden to see Amadeus smiling as if he was looking at a flower. Only this time, Amadeus was looking at the mangled corpses of two gardeners. ————————— Set in a fantasy world where magic exists, follow Amadeus as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Will he be able to feel emotions as others do? This is a novel that I wrote because I got tired of all the tropes that had transmigration, regression, deus-ex machina, etc. where everything that makes the main character reach the top is left to luck. —————————
