ATHANASIA'S P.O.V

I sighed, fingertips slowly opened the envelope from Felix. Lucas tilted his head and raised both of his eyebrows. I shook my head and gave him a light smile.

I opened the letter and started reading it inside of my head. It was alright, Felix was just talking about Daddy, and Lily and— "AND LILY?" I bursted out with my eyes, widened, my lips hanging open.

I rolled my tongue on my bottom lip and read the second to the last part over and over again.

Also, I with Lily do think that the Her Highness, The Princess is quite the match maker for couples. We do wish that your school will end soon so that you'll have more time with us again, Princess.

"I'm a what?" Everything was still loading inside of my head, I haven't finished the letter yet but I started giggling. "OH GOD. Are my match making skills finally working?"

"Are you okay?" His baritone voice almost echoed inside my room because it was so silent and quiet. I gave him a look with my lips pursed trying to hide the smile.

Shaking my head once again, I sighed and continued reading the letter. Lucas rolled his eyes and opened up a book he saw in front of him.

Also, I am writing this letter for you to give you news from His Majesty. Your graduation from the Academy will happen next month, His Majesty will personally come and witness your graduation.

"Well, I hope he doesn't make a scene—even though that's a bit hard."

"WHAT?" I blurted out loud, making Lucas look at me quickly. "Oh God." Biting my lower lip, my hand found it's way to my forehead. No way in hell.

"His Majesty is very sure with his decisions, isn't he?" Lily said while slowly massaging my shoulders, making me close my eyes as I finished half of the letter that I'll be sending for the Princess.

"Mhmm. I do think that this decision is needed, the Master of the Mage's Tower can help Princess controlling her own mana for now since the Princess' mana is scattered in different places." I tapped the end of the quill that I was holding on the top of my paper. I rolled my tongue on my bottom lip and continued writing.

But the catch is Lucas, the Master of the Mages Tower will be coming with you and will help you with your duties.

ATHANASIA'S P.O.V

OH GOD. Lucas was now holding the paper, trying to hold back the laughter, covering his mouth with his free hand. A stiffle of laughter escaped his mouth, quickly turning around. His back facing me, I saw how his body trembled lightly.

I glared at him, before holding my pillow tightly and throwing it at him, making him burst—"Pfft! HAHAHAHA."

"Stop laughing, Lucas!" I crossed my arms against my chest, rolling my eyes at him, seeing how he almost deflated, he wiped his face like he was wiping fake tears away. "Shut up, Lucas!"

"I've slept for over ce-centuries and—pfft! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" He continued laughing, unbelievable! I snatched the paper away from his hand and continued to read the contents of the letter.

The Master of The Mages Tower is needed for you. His Majesty is expecting for you to come back, Princess. He misses you.

I giggled at the last bit, finally Lucas stopped laughing and calmed down a bit. Inhaling deeply, before exhaling calming himself down. I sat on the sofa in front of him, taking a bit from the cookie from earlier.

"Guess that I will stick with you for a little longer, aren't I, Princess?" His voice held the teasing tone, raising both of his eyebrows at me. I swear to God, I will—"No worries though, I think I should give you some help."

"Yeah, yeah." I shut my eyes closed, thinking—I'm going to stay with Lucas for a very VERY long time now. I should uhm.. get used to him, right?

"What are you thinking about?"

"Huh?" I opened my eyes, and looked at him, blinking.

"I said, what are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." I blurted out, before closing the letter from Felix, looking away from Lucas' direction.

Lucas chuckled lightly, and mumbled a few words that I–sadly, did not hear.

"I swear, you should teach me properly Lucas, okay?" He snorted, I raised both of my eyebrows at him. His eyes looked up to me, giving me shivers down my spine.

Damn. "Don't you worry, I'll be teaching you properly Princess, tho I might sleep—"

"Lucas!" I interrupted his sentence, making him shake his head with a smirk. "I am serious right now, I want to learn how to control my mana."

Crossing his legs, comfortably sitting right in front of me. Putting his arm on the arm rest, he rested his chin on top of his right palm.

"Okay then, do you think that you can really do it?"

"Huh? Do what—"

"Controlling your mana, Athanasia."

"Yes! I think I can do it. Why did you even ask me that question Lucas, of course I can do it. That's why you're here to teach me."

"It's hard."

"I can handle."

"You'll grow tired of it."

"Again, I can handle and I don't wish for Daddy to be anxious anymore, Lucas."

"What if your body can't handle it?"

I froze on the spot. It felt like time stopped, my heart dropped. I bit my lower lip as I felt a sharp pain inside my chest, and a cold shiver going down my spine.

I had no answer for his question. It made me silent. Lucas took a deep breath and closed his eyes shut before standing up and walking slowly, in front of me.

"Don't worry, if anything happens to you I'll—" he mumbles the last words he said, before patting my head lightly.
