I wanted to help him in every way possible, but I don't know how. He never lets anyone inside his private life, just how can I help someone who closed their hearts and didn't want anyone else to enter it?

But I didn't want to give up on him. I can't. It feels like I was also drowning and suffocating with him. The pain, I really felt it when he started singing and the way I saw how those tears dropped slowly down his cheeks while singing.

He was giving his best, he was expressing so much emotions that I couldn't even sleep properly because all I can remember is his singing and the lyrics of the song.

He started walking away again, I guess he's going to sleep eh? I walked inside and sat on my bed, I covered my face using the palm of my hands. I took alot of deep breaths before laying on my bed.

I should... just sleep. I closed my eyes, and a few minutes passed I didn't notice it that I already fell asleep.

AH. My face was a little gloomy at the moment, I sighed deeply while making my way to our room, because of Lucas I was almost late!

Wait, is it really his fault? I mean... I was the one that was like looking at him in the middle of the night! BUT STILL-

"Why you using that brain of yours?" Because I was quiet surprised I almost jumped, but good thing I restrained myself from doing so.

Because I was very sure that this very man right infront of me would laugh his ass off when he saw me like that.

"LUCAS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I furrowed my eyebrows and glared at him. This jerk! "Stop popping out of nowhere! Geez are you going to kill me!?"

He chuckled and looked in front of us and continued walking, I just continued walking behind him. But he suddenly stopped and that made me bump behind his back.

"What are you--" I tried looking at him, but I felt uneasy, he was slowly gritting his teeth and with that dangerous look on his face it send shivers down my spine. I was scared. So scared.

"What.. are they doing here?" I blinked a couple of times and took a glance of what he was looking at. A group of mages, maybe 4 guys were also intently staring at Lucas.

Eyebrows slowly furrowed and confusion consumed me. What's happening? The tension suddenly rose up when one mage chuckled lightly and took a step closer to Lucas.

"It was quiet surprising that I saw you here, Sir Lucas." He said and smirked, I heard how Lucas scoffed, I didn't know why but I felt like he was blocking my view. He was trying to.. hide me?

"Oh shut up, why are you guys here? What's your business?" He asked, oh my gosh! Why is he talking to recklessly to those people?! I was very sure that they were high-ranked mages!

"We want to take you back." That made me froze on the spot, it felt like everything stopped, my breathing hitched and my eyes were trembling slowly as I raised my head to take a peek.

"Sir Lucas, you know yourself so well that you don't need these kind of educations." Another mage stepped in, my eyes held confusion and fear. What's happening? I can't understand!

But, I want to! I badly want to understand. It feels like their ganging up to get Lucas. Why? Is he that important?

"Yeah, but won't you let me have some fun? I'm still a kid, you old jerks." He said before holding my hand and pulling me away from the mages in front of us. I just sighed and shook my head, this is just confusing as ever. "I'm sorry because you got dragged into this mess" He whispered while walking.

"Lucas who are they? What do they need from you? I'm sorry I know it's not my business but I just can't help myself." I said while looking down, staring at our intertwined hands. Heart beating loudly and fast, a small smile escaped my lips, but it soon faded when I heard the mage spouting nonsense again.

"Sir Lucas, the tower needs you. Leave this place and the princess behind." His gripped tightened, eyes glared at the man who spoke nonsense, he sighed deeply before answering.

"Stop pestering me, you guys know well what I can do when I'm pissed." It was a threat to them, it was like they were alarmed, they moved away and Lucas continued walking.

My eyes glanced at the mages again and I saw how they glared at me. I bit my lower lip, I didn't know what was happening but it doesn't look good.

Finally calming down, his gripped slowly loosened. I looked up and saw him trying so hard to calm himself down. We were now inside the room.

"Lucas, who are they? Why are they persuading you to come with them?" I asked him, he gave me a short glance and looked in front, I thought that he wasn't going to answer me but then Lucas suddenly spoke.

"They need me, I guess those old hags created a new problem and they don't know how to fix it." He said with a bored expression plastered on his face.

"The Mage's Tower? But they look like high rank mages, why are they calling you Sir?" I heard him chuckle a little, what's so funny!? I am so confused--

"I was.. err, nah I am the Master of the tower" He said finally facing me as his eyes were locked with mine.

Eyes slowly widening, and I saw how a smirk form on his face. I still can't believe it. "The what??"

"Hahahaha!" His laughter echoed around the room that made every single damn person inside this very room silent.

I should be surprised and I need to start persuading him to go back there, but I couldn't and I can't even do it.

But I.. felt relieved when I saw him laughing, it was like my first time seeing him laugh like this.

I smiled a little but the fun soon faded when we heard large footsteps that made the academy building shake a little and the screaming of students.

Lucas stood up and ran to the window, I heard him saying "Shit. Run!" He shouted and that very sentence made the whole room into chaos.

WHAT'S HAPPENING!?
