《[1] RUNNING THROUGH MY MIND.》10 | CARTER.

, Carter leading Malayna down the hallway, dedicated only for the team. The two laughed as they bumped into each other, anyone watching the two would think they were drunk.
"Carter!" Malayna screeched as he told her about the time him and a teammate pranked the coaching staff of the Silvertips. "I can't believe you'd do that! Thats ballsy, holy shit. Pranking your coach," Malayna couldn't stop giggling, giving Carter a shove, him bumping into the wall before bouncing back into the blonde.
They walked to the end of the hall, Carter's shared room with Jake Bean being one of the last. They reached the door, and Carter let go of Malayna's hand, having to dig his room key out of his wallet.
Well Carter was in the process of finding his room key, Malayna stepped to the side, crossing her arms over her chest and falling against the wall. However as she let herself fall back against the wall, she didn't realize she was standing so far away until she tried to catch herself and ended up banging her head against the structure. She swears, she didn't have anything to drink.
"Ouch, fuck," she groaned, instantly bringing her hand up to rub the spot.
Carter paused from his search, glancing up at the girl who wore a confused expression on her face. It looked like she was trying to figure out how she hit her head, it was adorable. "Aw, are you okay?" Carter asked, trying to stay serious and not laugh. He failed, letting out a low chuckle that he quickly turned into a cough.
Malayna couldn't help but laugh herself, high on the energy between the two. "I-" she laughed, "I honestly don't know," she laughed harder, her eyebrows furrowing.
"Aw, do you want me to kiss it better?" He asked teasingly, though Malayna simply nodded with a little pout on her face.
A smirk instantly appeared on his face, pulling out his key, Carter stuffed his wallet in his pocket, facing Malayna who was now (safely) leaning up against the wall, her head gently falling back to.

Carter smirked, chuckling he grabbed her chin gently and captured his lips in hers. Like last time, it was a sweet kiss, however it quickly intensified from there. Hands began to roam and-
bang.
A door slammed shut and the two jumped apart, Malayna wiping her mouth, her eyes instantly falling to the ground without looking at what caused the sound.
"Oh," Carter faced the two men. "Hi, Carter... Carter's.... friend," Coach Ducharme said in a surprisingly level voice, Malayna looking up momentarily to nod in response.
"Hi, coach," he smiled uncomfortably at Ducharme, then meeting Tim Hunter's gaze. "Coach."
The two coaches were dressed in sweats, Canada long sleeve shirts and baseball caps on, holding beers in their hands. "Well, we'll let you get back to... you know. Remember, be done by quarter after twelve." Ducharme instructed, nodding his head as he was about to take off down the hall with Hunter.
"I-It's not what it looks like, coach. We're ju-"
Coach Ducharme held up his hand, silencing Carter, "I don't wanna know what you were 'just doing', I'll just let you two continue."
Carter was about to protest again, yet his mouth just hung open as he watched helplessly as his coaches walked off down the hallway. When they got half way down the hallway, coach Hunter spun around, careful not to spill his beer. "It's ten, you might wanna hurry up before the boys come back. Also, you should probably put a sock on the door or something, maybe a tie, or-"
"The Do Not Disturb sign," Ducharme interrupted.
"Yeah! That!" And just like that, the coaches disappeared again, into a different room.
Carter let out a sound, his mouth hanging open in disbelief. He couldn't believe his luck. Of course it had to be the coaches, it always had to be the coaches.
Malayna let out a sigh as she opened her once sealed eyes. She took a deep breath before taking the room key out Carter's hand, who still stood frozen, looking down the hallway where his coaches were seconds before.

The blonde tapped the boys cheek twice, "close your mouth, you'll catch flies."
Malayna stepped into the hotel room, it being surprisingly clean considering its the home of two nineteen year olds. She plopped down on the edge of a bed, letting her gaze roam the room as she waited for Carter.
A few moments later, the door closed with a thud and Carter walked in, already past the incident and now laughing his ass off at it. "I-" he laughed, "can't-" another laugh, "believe my-" laugh, "coaches just-" more laughing, "caught us," one last laugh, "making out." He was out of breath now as he flopped back on bed with a heavy sigh.
"I'm sorry, that was partially my fault," Malayna flopped back as well, turning to face Carter, their arms brushing against one another.
"Don't apologize. I like kissing you. Just bad timing," he grinned, back to his usual happy self.
Malayna shook her head, though Carter could tell she was amused as her lips turned upwards in a tightlipped smile, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Carter leaned in and gave her a peck on the lips, pulling back to admire her beautiful face. Just as he pulled back and it looked like Malayna was leaning in for more, there was a loud single knock on the door.
Carter and Malayna stared at each other, staying still with furrowed eyebrows as there was only one knock at the door. Before they could react in anyway, a small sound was heard before the door swung open the slightest.
"Carter? I know theres a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and I know you're with Malayna but I need to grab something. Can you cover yourselves please," Carter and Malayna shot up, now in sitting positions at the sound of Jake's voice.
"You can come in," Carter yelled.
Malayna turned to the boy with her mouth slightly agape. "You little- you put the sign on the door!"
Carter's mouth opened like he was going to say something, though he simply grinned as Malayna shoved him in the arm.
Carter took this opportunity to wrap Malayna in his embrace, his arms wrapped securely around her. "I didn't do it because of that, I did it because Jake can be an annoying shit — as you can see," Carter whispered lowly in Malayna's ear, sending shivers down her spine.
Before she could reply, Jake took cautious steps around the corner where the two beds were, his hand by his face just incase he needed to quickly cover his eyes.
When he noticed the two were decent, he let his hand fall and a heavy breath escaped his lips. "Good, you aren't at that part yet."
"For the last time! We're not-" Jake shut Carter up with the raise of his eyebrows and a hand on his hip. They seemed to be communicating through looks and Malayna was left confused.
She glanced from Jake to Carter and when she looked up at the boy she was in the arms of, her mouth dropped open. "No! Carter..." she scolded, dragging out his name, Jake and Carter immediately breaking out into laughter. Carter squeezed his arms around Malayna tighter, kissing the top of her head, letting her know he was just playing around.
"Alright well I better go, Conor and Drake are waiting for m- is that my bed?"
