I was sat in my meeting room I had here in my house, waiting for JJ who called earlier and said he had something important to tell me.
"Wassup Jace." He greeted me and I gestured for him to sit down. "Who's this?" I asked pointing to the stranger he had with him. "Oh this is my boy Mikey."
"I don't know how to say this." JJ said to me, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "It's about your new girl Nicki."
"What happened? The baby good?" I asked beginning to panic thinking something happened to her or the baby.
"Nah they're fine. I told the guys not to do anything yet until I spoke to you" I frowned in confusion.
"Well you know how we've had Tak, Nico's best friend at the warehouse since Friday? We finally got him to spill some information." See Nico died owing me a lot of money and I wanted to find out what he was doing which meant he couldn't pay me on time.
"And he admitted he wasn't Nico's business partner. They were just good friends. He only found out about Nico's side job recently." He explained.
"If he wasn't his partner. Then who was?"I asked and his change in posture and look on his face answered my question. I said the first name that came to my mind after linking what he said in the beginning and now. "Nicki?"
He nodded slowly. "Yes sir."
I angrily threw him up against the wall, what he was doing was mad disrespectful, coming up in my office accusing my girl of shit. "I don't believe it! you better prove this shit you're talking or be prepared to fucking die!"
He held his hands up in surrender and gestured for me to look over at the guy he had entered my office with. "I thought you'd ask that. Mikey. He good with phones and shit. He tracked Nico's phone calls and texts with his 'partner' and the address on the phone led us here."

"Let me see." I grabbed Nico's phone from him and started reading through the only thread on it.
**Yo I need the money
I told you, you gotta wait*
**You sold this shit yet?
Yh, made 10k*
**Meet me @3
**I asked you to help me but your dumb ass wanna be selfish & keep MY money to yourself

"Jace- oh hi, I didn't know we had company." Nicki said as she finally returned home from another day of shopping with Chanel.
She looked around the room and smiled at the few familiar faces but received cold, blank stares in response.
"What's this?" I asked showing her the pink phone I found. "I don't know. A phone maybe?" She answered sarcastically.
"How come I haven't seen it before?"
"I don't know. I've never seen it either." She lied which pissed me off. "Stop lying I found it hidden in your shit!" I yelled throwing the phone at her. "You've been going through my stuff?"
"You've been playing me all this time Nic! You thought I was dumb and wouldn't find out."
"Had me out here looking stupid, killing motherfuckers when you were the one I wanted all along."
"Jace-"
"And since you're Nico's partner, that make you my enemy. Which means I should kill you too." I took out my gun and aimed it at her.
"Want me to do it boss?" JJ asked when he saw my hand shaking as I put my finger on the trigger.
Just then Larenz came up to me and mumbled. "Maybe you should do this shit outside. You might get blood on your carpet."
"Yo Jace chill. She's pregnant." Tez yelled standing in between Nicki and the gun.
"Don't worry Tez he won't shoot me, he's too much of a pussy." A wave of anger flew over me and I charged towards her. I swung my gun, striking her across the face making her fall to the ground.

She quickly stood up and spat in my face. "You bitch!"
"Are you fucking stupid?" I yelled and grabbed a handful of her hair, yanking it roughly. "Answer me! Are you stupid?"
"Get off of me!" She screamed clawing at my hands to let her go.
I finally let go. "Stop putting your fucking hands on me motherfucker!" She yelled angrily throwing a weak punch at me.
I noticed his eyes glaze over and I backed up. I turned and started running for the stairs but was pulled back by my ankle and fell face flat on the staircase.
"You keep testing me like I won't kill your ass right here." He said through gritted teeth as he wrapped his hands around my neck tightly, choking me.
"Please Jace I can't breathe." I begged I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness until his cousin Rocko stopped him and pulled him off me.
"Jace stop."
He released his grip from around my neck and grabbed a handful of my hair dragging me over to the couch.
"Don't fucking move or I'll shoot you." He warned aiming it at me. "Now tell me the truth. If I hear another lie come out of your mouth..." He trailed off clenching his jaw.
"Nico came to me two years ago he was in trouble and asked me to help him make some money, he told me he was gonna get some drugs that we could sell. He said I could keep 50%."
"He told me he worked for somebody I swear I didn't know it was you. For the first couple of months he kept his word then he started taking a bigger cut in the money...
"I don't think we should be doing this" She whispered as they thought of how they were gonna approach their new connect.
"Why not? It's a simple job. We buy the product, sell the product and give him a percentage of the profits." He shrugged.
"Yeah it sounds simple when you say it like that but this isn't just anyone we're doing business with.
People do business with this guy and come up missing days later." She whined crossing her arms over her chest.
He placed his hand on her shoulders and looked in her eyes. "Stop being a pvssy. We're gonna do this and we're gonna get our money. If you're scared of him I'll do the exchange but you gotta promise you won't leave me hanging out here."
"I hope you know what you're doing Nico." She sighed.
"I didn't know it was you. I swear. I started noticing Nico was acting weird. So I stopped I told him I didn't want in anymore."
I shook my head still trying to understand what she'd just said. "You expect me to believe this?"
"It's the truth. Our father use to do the same so I grew up watching this shit so when Nico came to me for help I couldn't turn away, I thought it would be quick money." She explained with pleading eyes.
"Who's your father?" I asked.
"Caine Jackson. We took our mothers last name."
I only knew one person with that name. "You got a picture?" She nodded. "Yeah why?" I raised my hand at her. "Don't ask me questions." She rolled her eyes and started scrolling through her phone. "Here"
"That's me and him." She told me as I analysed the picture.
"Yo that's-" Tez and Waka said at the same time, I gave them a look to stop talking.
I kept scrolling and couldn't believe it.
Her dad was a hood legend, The legend and she was casually talking like he was just any dealer on the streets. Caine Jackson owned the streets, lived his life at an untouchable level and was what every trapper wanted to be.
Who I wanted to be.
I killed Caine Jackson's son and got his daughter pregnant.
I threw her phone at her. "Well I'm a man of my word so as soon as you have that baby... You're dead."

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
