"Jace its 1:30 where are you?"I asked as I was sent to his voicemail for the fourth time.
"I knew I shouldn't have listened to him." I sighed running my fingers through my hair.
After thinking for a moment I decided to make my own way to my appointment. I grabbed one of my keys and headed downstairs to the car.
"... I take your bih right from you, bitch I'm a dog,roof-" I sung along until a call came through silencing my music.
"Where the fuck are you?!" Jace shouted angrily as soon as I answered.
"I'm-"
"Why are you not waiting here like I told you to!" He said cutting me off. "Stop shouting at me asshole! I'm in my car on my way to my appointment. I waited for you." I replied.
I heard him breath deeply trying to calm himself down. "I told you I was gonna take you."
"Babe it's 2:50, my appointment is at 3 and you only just got home."
"Whatever I'm on my way, wait for me." He said before hanging up.
I arrived at the doctors shortly after, once I entered the building the receptionist signed me in and gave me some notes to read over and complete.
I was sat in the waiting room for about 10 minutes until Jace finally arrived. "They ain't seen you yet?" He asked as he sat down next to me. "Does it look like they've seen me?" I answered smartly.
"Watch your mouth." He flicked my bottom lip. "What are you doing?"
"That lady asked me to fill out some paper work." He looked down at the section I had just completed. "You're 19?" I quickly placed my arm across the paper trying to cover it up.
"Stop trying to hide it I saw it already." I moved my arm and sighed. "Yes I'm 19"
He leaned forward, placed his elbows on his knees and covered his face with the palms of his hands. "How did you even get in the club that night we met? It was 21+"

I shrugged before answering. "I know people."
"Wow." He said shaking his head. "What?"
"You're a baby." I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest offended at the fact he was calling me a baby when I clearly wasn't. "No I'm not."
"Yes you are. I can't believe this." He said shaking his head. "So what are you saying you don't wanna be with me no more?"
"Nah I'm just shocked I didn't know you were that young. You're still my baby girl tho." He laughed as he placed placed his arm over my shoulder and kissed my forehead.
"How old are you?"
"I told you already I'm 25". "Ooh."
"This is crazy were about to have a baby and don't even know each others ages." I mumbled just then a nurse came out one of the rooms with a pink folder.
"Nicki Lopez " she called and I grabbed Jace's hand as I stood up.
"Lopez ? That's ya name. I heard that somewhere before." He said as he stopped walking and looked like he was thinking hard.
"It's a very popular name. You're so annoying come on." I giggled dragging him over to the room.
"Hello honey, so from your files this will be your first official scan?" Dr Williams asked me. "Yeah. I'm a little nervous." I confessed.
"Don't be you're in good hands I've been doing this job for 20 years."
"Okay so today we're gonna see exactly how far along you are I know you took a pregnancy test but the dates aren't completely accurate so I'll just confirm that for you."
"Are you ready?" She asked me."Alright lay flat on this for me, I'm gonna warn you the gel is a little cold."
"Is everything okay?" I asked starting to worry when she was silent.
"Sure is, you're exactly 9 weeks along. So you're due date is September 23rd-"
"What's she having?" Jace asked.
"Jace." I giggled. Dr Williams had just told me I was 9 weeks along and he was already asking about the baby's gender.

"Well sir it's a little early to tell but I should be able to tell you in a couple of months." She told him.
"Alright"
"Do you want to order something to eat?" Jace asked me once we returned home.
"Pizza please?
He nodded and took out his wallet. "Alright here's the money, don't get me anything."
"Why? Where are you going?" I asked. "I got to handle some shit, I'll be back before you wake up." He said and tried to kiss me. "Don't leave me J."
"Nicki don't start." He sighed.
"Don't start? You don't spend any time with me! I don't know why you made me move in here if you're just gonna ignore me!" I yelled and he proved my point by ignoring me and walking over to the door to leave.
"See this is what I'm talking about!"
"I'm sorry." He apologised as soon as I entered the warehouse.
"Please." He pleaded as tears escaped from his eyes.
"You know I hate begging. By the looks of you I figured that you didn't come up with the money you owed me." I said calmly gesturing to his badly bruised face.
"Jace please. Give me another chance." He begged "I'll come up with the money. I promise."
"You couldn't come up with the money the last time I have you a chance. How are you gonna get it this time?"
"Huh how?" I insisted when he didn't answer. "Answer me Lopez!"
"I don't know... My sister lives out here I could ask her for a loan-" I laughed shaking my head. "A loan? Do you know how much you owe me Nico?"
"$10k" he answered confidently.
"Actually it's $50k. Interest." I corrected with a smirk.
"I'm gonna do you a favour since I know you won't be able to come up with the money so I'm gonna end this business contract between us." He began thanking me happily.
"Thanks Jace I'm-" I quickly lifted my gun and aimed it so I shot right in the centre of his forehead.
"What should we do with the body?" Tez asked as he kicked Nico Lopez's lifeless body.
"Use it as a warning. Send his business partner a gift from us."
He nodded. "Yes sir."
"Didn't you hear what he just said!" Tez shouted at some of our new recruits who quickly ran over to the body and began untying the ropes that held the body to the chair.
"I gotta go handle some business at the club, then check on Nicki she was tripping before I left. Call me if you hear anything from Tommy." I said referring to Nico's business partner Tommy Ruiz.
I returned home to a dark house. All the lights were off and the only sound heard were faint cries/ whimpers coming from my bedroom.
I followed the sound cautiously until I seen Nicki curled up in a ball in the corner of the room. "What happened are you okay?" I asked as I grabbed her hand only for her to pull away.
"Nic you're shaking." I said as I began to worry I've never seen her like this not even when she was sick a couple weeks ago.
She wiped her tears and looked up at me. "He's gone." She whispered.
"Who's gone baby?"
"My brother! My cousin just called and said they found his body cut up outside his friend Tommys house." She said and cried some more. My eyes widened as I realised who her brother was.
Nico Lopez...
"It's okay I'm here." I tried comforting her but she slapped me away again and stood up. "No it's not okay, he's gone and I'm never gonna get to see him again."
"Nicki breathe this shock isn't good for the baby." I said as she began pacing the floor, she spun around on her heels to face me. "Fuck the baby!"
"I gotta go." She said out if no where.
"Where are you going?" She ignored me and grabbed her phone. "Nicki"
"Nicki!" I quickly grabbed her shoulders stopping her from leaving, she then broke down and fell to the ground crying out for her brother.
"I love you and I'm sorry." I whispered.
