Two weeks later -
Jayceon -
"Baby hurry up and come home I miss you," Amber whined and pouted in my ear. All I could do was chuckle. No lie I missed her too, but if I wanted to get that diamond ring I saw the other day I knew I had to step my game up.
I had just started working with this New Mexican connect, he had been supplying me A1 product that I had been selling all throughout my club, and to my surprise the money I had been making was way more than what I had been doing.
I had just enough right now to buy that new truck I wanted, along with getting us that house, but I wanted to go further than just a simple truck and house. I didn't want my son to have to worry about anything, I wanted him to be straight. Amber as well, baby girl deserved the world. The school finally called her back and told her she could start Monday. I had never seen her so happy, she deserved it all.
"I promise after I take care of this last lil business, Imma be home baby, cause I miss you too," I said honestly. I did miss Amber like crazy just to be under her would be the world right now.
"You better come home baby, I been a bad girl and I need you to put me on punishment," she said in the most sexiest voice ever. I was so glad I didn't put her on speaker. Walking away I stepped out in the hall for a second.
"Girl you know I'm at work you can't be tempting me like that," I said definitely starting to get horny.
"Baby I'm literally trying to wait on you, hurry up," she whined.
"Girl take yo horny ass down stairs and watch a movie until I get there," I said chuckling. She giggled.

"Okay okay daddy, I'll be impatiently waiting on you downstairs,"
"Iight I'll be there in fifteen minutes I promise," and with that I hung up and got back to work. I was counting the money when Rodriguez the head of the connect came in clapping his hands and smiling.
"Jayceon , If I was gay id give you the biggest kiss right now, you promised and you delivered so now I have to deliver," he smiled as he gave me a check. When I looked at it I Damn near choked. It was a check for 3 million dollars.
"Man are you serious right now?" I laughed as he gave me dap.
"I'm dead ass," he said as we both laughed.
"Don't say that again in your life," I chuckled.
"Listen, you keep bringing me booming business and I keep bringing you fat checks," he smiled.
"Man you aint gone ever be disappointed," I smiled still looking down at the check.
"Listen it's Friday night get out of here I'm sure you have a beautiful lady somewhere waiting on you," he smirked.
"Actually I do," I said thinking about Amber.
"Alright go go everything here is fine enjoy your weekend but I need you back here bright and early Monday morning I have business coming from Puerto Rico and I want my best man here with me so go get a nice suit and tie no jeans and boots this is strictly professional,"
"Alright boss I got it," and with that I left. While in the car I called Amber told her to get ready I went to the bank and deposited the check, I called Erica to see if I could pick lil man up tomorrow. We hadn't seen him in a few days, everybody missed him. Me, Amber and Ariel.
He was such a joy to have around the house, always making everybody laugh, and like Amber said he just wanted his dad. I bought him a iPod and every night before bed he FaceTimes me checking up on me. These past couple months, I've grown to love him, I just wanted him to have whatever his heart desired.

"Baby where are we going?" Amber giggled as I helped her in the car. I closed her door and then got back in.
"Man just drive around and see," I laughed turning the radio up. We drove downtown back to the house I was looking at the other day. The renter was there waiting on us like she said she'd be.
We took a view of the house. It had two bathrooms, five bedrooms, and each bedroom had nice closet space, we even had a nice basement which held an extra bedroom I had my mind set on making that my man cave. The living room was very big and spacious, as well as the kitchen. Amber was in love with the kitchen, Shit I was in love with the whole house.
"So do you guys need a few minutes?" She asked.
"Yes give us a few minutes and we'll be ready to buy ," I said as I grabbed Amber's waist she was still in awe with the kitchen.
"So what you think?" I smiled as I kissed her cheek.
"Baby it's a really nice house but are you sure this is the right one for us?" She asked.
"Yes babe I do, I mean it's got everything we both said we wanted in our dream house I got the money for it right now I been saving and I'm tired of talking I'm ready to put everything in action, I'm ready for us to start our life together, I'm just making sure you ready too?" I asked her.
"Baby, I want us to spend our life together, but I just don't want us to rush into it and end up regretting it later,"
"Damn babe why you always being negative killing the vibe man, you making me think you don't really want this, you don't wanna start a feature with me is that it? Just say it right now man and -"
"Bae your blowing this out of proportion, I'm not being negative, and I swear this is what I want," she said grabbing me.
"Then come on baby lets get it now the house the car, whatever baby it's right here, why wait ?" I chuckled nervously.
"Because I just don't want to rush into it babe, please can you do this for me can you just wait on me," she asked grabbing my hands and looking into my eyes. Looking away I sighed. Did she really wanna start a family together? Did she really want this? So many questions roamed in my mind. I didn't know what to think, sighing I just gave up and gave in.
"Iight man, I'll wait," I said confused.
"Baby I promise I won't make you wait too long I just need some time to process all this and think everything through," she said.
"Iight Imma give you the time you need," I said backing away.
"Babe what's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing I mean you said you want time Amber imma give it to you,"
"Yeah Jace but it sounds like you're breaking up with me,"
"Man, maybe that's what we need right now, some space some time to think cause I'm feeling like you don't want the same shit I want I wanna start a family with you, I want us to have everything baby but apparently you don't if you need to think about it," And that was all I said before I walked out leaving her standing there.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
