Jayceon was 100% better, it was easy to see. He was no longer grouchy or bitchy. I was sat next to him on the couch, both as silent as the other. Dominique was sat in the arm chair, awkwardly flicking through the channels.
He was the first to break the silence, "Can't we all just go out? Natasha needs to eat something other than salad, and you seriously need to get out of the house."
Jay looked at his best friend, the thought lingering in the eyes before he casted his eyes back to me, "Go get dressed."
I nodded and walked upstairs. I hardly had anything to wear, nothing fitted me. I had an old summer dress that fell just over my knees that looked big enough to fit over me and my second person. The colour was a soft turquoise that matched the tone of my skin. I did my make up simply and pinned my hair back loosely. I slipped into some comfy shoes and went downstairs.
I watched as Jay's eyes lingered over me, but he went Ito the kitchen and grabbed food. I sighed softly and lowered my gaze to the floor.
"He'll come around, a'ight? Don't let him get ya down."
I nodded. I liked Dominique, he was kind and always chose the right side. He wasn't afraid to tell Jay that he was in the wrong.
It didn't take Jayceon long to come back, "Look, I can't make triangle sandwiches and pack a picnic. But we can go to a drive threw, a'ight?"
I nodded.
We all settled into the car, the silence lingering over us like a heavy blanket. I was sat next to Jay, but I kept my eyes trained on the road. At one moment, I thought he went to put his hand on my thigh, but instead he held the gear stick. Dominique started to talk to Jayceon about a heist that happened afew days ago.

"For fuck sake." Jayceon sighed. "The drive through is closed. What's the point in having one if it's never open?"
"I'll go in." Dominique got up and went inside.
I bit my lip, thinking of something I could say.
"How'd you feel?" Jayceon turned himself in his chair and looked at me. He hadn't shaved in a week or so and his beard was beginning to set back in. He still looked as handsome as he had when we met. When my father had set me up to get to him, I never realised he would be who he is. I never realised I would fall for him.
I nodded softly, "Just nervous for the baby."
"You'll be fine." He said, he put his hand over mine in my lap. "I'll make sure I'm there for you, okay? Through the birth and afterwards."
I nodded my head, looking at him. His hand cupped my face and he drew me closer kissing my lips. His hands fell to my waist as he kissed me tenderly.
"Excuse me," Dominique chuckled, getting in the car. "PDA, keep it low."
I smiled, pulling away. We drive to an off road field and sat on the bonnet of the car. We smiled and we chatted for hours until it fell dark.
I was happy to finally have Jay back.
