I've tried killing feelings,

but it never seems to work.

It doesn't matter what I do,

what I say, or what I attempt,

I can't kill my feelings.

There's always going to be a small part of me that holds a place for you.

And whether I like it or not

it's never going to go away.

You are like a bad sticker.

I can peel you away and

remove you from my life,

but there's always going

to be some residue.

Some of that sticky mess that I can't shake off, no matter how hard I try.
