One: Not revealing that information quickly and not asking questions about it would be completely OoC for the characters involved in that scene. Two: It's information you, the reader, need to know before the main story can really get started. Namely, the "secrets not even the gods know about".

"The Towers have stood for centuries. They offer riches and power in equal measure to those that are brave, strong, and lucky enough to overcome their Trials. Isaac has arrived in time for the annual Novice Trial where young men and women aged 16 through 18 are set to enter the Tower for their first time. Novice Trials are a rite of passage, and though one is not required to take it, one cannot develop their Mana System without it. However, the trials are deadly, and there are always some that go in, but never come out. Regardless of the danger, Novice Trials are required for entry into any of the four grand academies. Those that survive the trials are able to gain experience and level-up as they ascend the different floors of the Towers." The Tower Trials is my first attempt at writing. Each chapter will go up between 1,000 to 2,000 words and will be posted each day during the week. There might be multiple chapters posted to keep up with the writing marathon in the afternoon. My mom died when I was little, which means I'm the daughter of Negan, who's a psycho. He enjoys beating people to death with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, named Lucielle. We live at this place called The Sanctuary, but sometimes I wish I could run away. I'm worried I'll live my whole life here and never get to fight for myself out there, even though it's an apocalypse. I keep hoping that one day I'll wander off and find love, or a better group that actually protects eachother, but in my case, who everyone knows me as, I don't think it's possible.
