《22 Letters✓》Chapter 11: Black Looks Real Good On You(Part 1)

I didn't know that Nathan left because he wanted to get supplies for hosting a party this weekend.
And I didn't know I was invited.
Normally on a Friday, I'd go home and just sleep. Or maybe watch Netflix, it depends.
But now that Nathan is hosting a party and is inviting me, I might as well go there.
The entire school was buzzing with gossip of this sudden announcement. Nathan hadn't mentioned it to anyone, only mentioning it today in the morning.
I reread the letter I wrote him for the fifth day.
The problem with this is that I can't get to his locker with him being there with his team. There was a tap on my shoulder, and I turned to find Cece staring at me.
"Party tonight?" She asked.
I nodded, "It's Nathan." I looked at her for a while. She never used to have her hair down, I was always used to seeing it in a bun or tied neatly in a ponytail.
I also wasn't used to her wearing jeans. She loved wearing dresses, sweats and skirts, not jeans.
And she didn't have her glasses.
"And you? Can you see?" I waved a hand in front of her face.
"Yes I can, dummy. These are contacts." She rolled her eyes, "Remember I have a doctor's appointment at the end of the month?"
"February has never been good to you." I chuckled as I played with her hair a bit.
"Stop it. Now, what do we have here?" She took the note out of my hand, "Really, Nathan? Just go up there and tell him."
"No way, Derek gave me 24 days to do it, why should I blow it now?" I asked her.
"Because that will show you're not a wimp. Besides, how are you gonna deliver it anyway? He's guarding his locker like a bulldog."

"I think he knows that the person goes to this school, so he'd trying to time them." I pointed out, but an idea popped into my head, "You know, I kinda like this new look on you."
"Stop flirting with my girlfriend, Leo." Derek came and put an arm around her shoulders.
"I'm not flirting, I'm just saying that Nathan hasn't seen this look on you." I put the letter in her hands, "He'd love it, won't he?"
"I'm not going to deliver this." She frowned, "What if he thinks it's me?"
"He won't. I told him that I won't reveal myself until...well, I don't know-"
"In about 17 days, right? I'm counting." Derek smirked.
"Whatever. Cece please, if not just go distract him from his locker or something." I begged.
"Fine." She flipped her hair and walked over there.
Derek and I watched. Cece kept on talking, and soon enough the team dispersed. When the team dispersed, Cece asked Nathan a question, and he immediately looked over my side. Smiling and throwing me a wink, he walked over to us.
I fucking hate Cecelia sometimes.
Cecelia stood by Nathan's locker and laughed, whilst slipping the letter in discreetly. She gave me a thumbs up, and pranced away. Nathan gave Derek a fist bump and then he looked at me.
"Leon." He smiled.
"Hey, Nate." I greeted him, a little nervous.
"So I came to know if you're coming to the party I'm hosting tonight? It's gonna be a blast, and all my guys are coming."
"Dress code?"
"It's black, Leo." Derek muttered,"I gotta go to my next class. See you at the party." Derek left in a hurry, leaving me with Nathan.
"So, are you going to come?" Nathan asked me, running a hand through that gorgeous hair.
I nodded, "Wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Alright then, Lee. I'll see you there." He gave me a hug, and for a brief moment, I thought our cheeks touched.
It was a nice feeling, and the butterflies in my stomach grew more each day talking to him.
We broke apart, and he waved at me while I went for my Economics class.

8 113Limitless Adaptation
Jamie, 19, was walking into the kitchen for dinner when he suddenly found himself walking down a street in another world, a world with a game system. There, he meets a half-dragon, half-human named Adam, who faces adversity in most places, because of his parentage, and not long after they meet, the two of them are forced to leave town, due to Adam's beast nature. In the world of Tielmar, there are species of all varieties, a Class exists for nearly everything, and Skills come in quite a few forms. Jamie starts off with a Skill called "Limitless Adaptation", which supposedly allows him to adapt to any need, but is it really as powerful as it sounds? And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me. That duck decided it wanted to nest in the flowerpot in front of my bank, so I took a picture of it.
