《22 Letters✓》Chapter 3: Letter Number 1

"Nathan said he likes something cheesy, now imagine how cheesy this letter is going to be," I muttered to myself.

I removed the page. That's stupid and cheesy. I need something more unique to myself, something that would stand out of the crowd.

I finally thought of what to say, and began to write this little note seamlessly.

I folded up the letter neatly and stood. Asking the librarian to go to my locker, I quickly went down the stairs and reached the lockers. Taking a deep breath, I went to Nathan's locker(after a long time, I had memorised his locker.) and stared at it.

Maybe I shouldn't do this. Nathan isn't dumb, and he probably wouldn't like this. But I don't have a choice at the moment.

This was the only discreet way of winning this bet.

I hesitantly slipped the letter into his locker, totally risking everything. I wasn't up for telling Nate how I felt but now I have to.

I quickly made it back to the library and began to ponder on what I just did.

This is probably the only way I can address my feelings for Nathan. He won't know it's me, plus I'm being completely truthfully to him. Day one of this letter business and so far I feel so guilty and stupid.

Nathan will probably throw it out, saying it's a stalker. But it really isn't a stalker, it's just a guy he will never like.

Opening my geography textbook, I began to study for the upcoming test.
