《Doki Doki Lesbian Club》Chapter 42 - Friends

Sayor walked out of her classroom with a smile upon her face for the first time in what seemed like forever. No one bothered her and she was able to catch up on all the notes she missed from her last lesson. She stood by the door waiting for Monika, but Natsuki and Yuri arrived instead. Sayori was a little disappointed, but happy one the less.
"Hello Sayori." Calmy said Yuri.
"Yo! Monika texted on the group chat she got detention for being late to class, so she isn't gunna be at the club for a while." Said Natsuki getting the message up on her phone and showing is to Sayori, knowing fully well she was too much of a goodie-too-shoes to even touch her phone during class.
"Oh that's a bummer..." Said Sayori, before they all walked towards their club room. While walking behind them, Sayori couldn't help but admire how Natsuki and Yuri talked and smiled towards one another.
"H-Hey Natsuki, Yuri, I-I have a question..." Said Sayori Tightly gripping the ends of her sleeves.
"Ask away Sayori!" Said Natsuki.
"H-How do you know...when you like someone i-in a romantic way..?" Asked Sayori trying not to get flustered.
"Hmmm...well, with Yuri she just made me really happy all the time." Said Natsuki bluntly as Yuri moved to look at her with a red face and lightly nudged her shoulder.
"B-But a friend can make you feel happy all the time too!" Said Sayori, clinging onto any denail she could.
"True, but you usually don't picture kissing someone you wanna stay friends with, and you know it's more then a crush when your feelings don't go away after a couple months and only get stronger." Said Natsuki as she opened the door to the clubroom.
"A-And the thought, o-or even a little mention of them potentially dating someone else, hurts a lot on the inside." Added Yuri. Sayori only nodded and blushed as all her fantasies hit her in the face at once.
"How long have you had a crush on this human?" Said Natsuki as she sat on the heared desk and pulled out a packed of crisps. Sayory took a minute to think back to when it all began and she gasped.
"A-A year...maybe longer..." Said Sayori.
"Have they dated anyone since feeling potentially started to bloom?" Asked Yuri, Sayori could only nod no.
"Then there's hope for ya! They're still single as a pringle! Like you, little troubled pickle!" Giggled Natsuki as she ate her crisps. Sayori just blushed more and sat down as she collected her thoughts.

"Oh shit! Yuri I should write that down for my poem today!" Gasped Natsuki, Yuri chuckled and gave Natsuki her note book.
"Already done that love~" Smiled Yuri, Natsuki smiled back and hugged Yuri, forcefully pulling her closer to where Natsuki was sitting.
Sayori sat in silence, doodling in her note book completely dazed, thinking about a great number of things.
'How could something so wrong...feel so right and make me feel so happy...' thought Sayori as she sketched a little cartoon Monika next to a little cartoon Sayori.
Sayori sighed heavily and payed no attention to the person she heared walk up beside her, placing their hand on the back of her chair, probably looking at what she was drawing, because Sayori assumed it was either Natsuki or Yuri.
"Sayori those are really cute drawings of us." Smiled Monika as she leaned down to get a better look at Sayories drawings, while also moving closer to Sayori, who jumped a little in surprise and blushed as soon as she saw Monika.
"You scared me! Don't just appear outta nowhere like that!" Shouted Sayori, Monika chuckled and apologised briefly, before sitting down next to her.
"The other told me poems were already shared so, what would you like to do for the rest of the club?" Asked Monika with a kind smile.
"I-I don't mind Moni." Said Sayori.
"Well, there are some new episodes of that show you like, we can watch it on my phone if you want?" Asked Monika.
"Oh my gosh really!? Get it up quickly!!" Yelped Sayori in excitement.
They shared headphones and sat close to one another for the whole club. Sayori didn't notice the proximity until they were halfway through their second episode, she couldn't help but smile, seeing how Monika enjoyed being around her too. Sayori leaned her head onto Monikas shoulder and Monike leaned her head in return ontop of Satoris.
After a relaxing time at the literature club, all the girls headed home. Monika and Sayori went one way, while Yuri and Natsuki went another.
Natsuki and Yuri were holding hands happily while walking home.
"Who do you think Sayori has a crush on?" Asked Yuri
"I think it's Monika. She doesn't reaally spend much time with anyone else, plus they're always happy together." Said Natsuki, Yuri hummed and nodded along as she helled onto her girlfriends arm.
"Do you have a shift today? I can walk with you there." Said Yuri.
"No, Daisy doesn't need me there today, something about fixing a machine..? I don't really care." Smiles Natsuki.

Yuri was about to carry on talking to Natsuki when her phone began to ring, when she saw the number Yuri froze.
"Yuri what's wrong? Who's calling you??" Asked Natsuki worriedly.
"M-My F-Father..." Stuttered Yuri. Natsukis eyes widened.
"Do you plan on picking it up?" Asked Natsuki with a calm tone as she stroked her hand up and down Yuris back. Yuri took a deep sigh and nodded before answering the call, using her free hand to grab onto Natsukis.
"Hello father." Said Yuri.
"Good evening Yuri, your mother just informed me of an argument you had a few weeks ago, is everything okay?" Asked her dad, Natsuki just made out what he said while Yuri frowned in frustration.
"With all due respect Father, its not entirely your business. Someone who is in my life once or twice a year doesn't have that right." Said Yuri firmly.
"Of course its my business, I am your father and partially the reason your even alive! Me and your mother work hard to keep a roof over your head! You should be greatful for the lavish life we've provided! Show some damn respect child!!" Yelled Yuris father.
"Emptionally manipulating me is such a cliche Father. You do remember everyone you've ever left me with alone in that house has either abused me or assaulted me right? That nanny when I was nine, the piano teacher, that maid with the bright orange hair, even my own siste-"ENOUGH!!!" Interrupted Yuris Father. Yuri Scoffed as Natsuki helled her hand tightly and guided Yuri towards their home.
"Whats wrong? Finding it hard to face the fact that all you have ever provided for me in this lavish life as you put it, is pain and abuse?" Said Yuri, completely calm. There was a silence on the other line.
"Good bye father. Call me back when you have the balls to act like a real father." Said Yuri before hanging up. He didn't call back at all, the entire time it took them to get home.
Natsuki sat Yuri down on the sofa and put on her girlfriends favourite documentary while she made her the best cup of tea she could muster. They sat down together and Natsuki watched intently as Yuri took little sips of the fresh hot tea.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Asked Natsuki, gently sliding her hand up and down yuris back. Yuri just sighed and nodded, placing the cup of tea on the coffee table.
"My parents have always been incredibly bad judges of character. I may not know much about them, but I figured out that much by myself." Said Yuri with a dry chuckle. Natsuki just nodded and listened.
"They used to hire me teachers and maids, even nanny's and babysitters to do their job of raising me. They were all horrible people, every single one of them. The maids would steal my things and lock me up, the seemingly endless caretakers always wanted to teach me irrelevant things, whenever I'd say learning how to be a wife at the age of nine wasn't in the school books, or question their bizarre teaching methods, they'd starve me and lock me in my room longer then usual. They didn't hit me much since they new it would highten their chances of getting caught." Yuri took a moment to breath and sip her tea.
"Obviously they took away my phone so I couldn't call anyone. That all stopped when my father made a surprise second visit that year. But I don't remember him reporting any of them to the police, all he'd do was play them to be quiet and leave. Well actually, only one of them got arested, it was a maid with bright oragne hair who stole one of mothers favourite rings, mother got so angry and upset about that, they made sure to send her to prison. She was more upset about loosing a stupid ring then her own daughter, flesh and blood being mistreated. Typical." Said Yuri as she took a sip of her tea.
"The only person who ever understood was my brother, they treated him just as badly but loved my sister and always gave her privileges. But now he's gone, she's still a monster and it after five years or intense therapy, payed by my father so I wouldn't be too "emotional", the only grace he ever provided, I am better but still scared." Said Yuri putting down her tea and covering her face with her hands while she began crying.
Natsuki instantly leaned over and hugged Yuri the best she could, Yuri almost instantly leaned in and wrapped her arms around Natsukis waist. The two stayed in each others embrace until Yuri finished crying and venting out her feeling, Natsuki comforted her.
When Yuri had calmed down Natsuki made her a fun little dinner of dinasaur chicken nuggets, on a volcano of mash potatoes with broccoli trees. That paired with Spy X Family, lead to and evening of laughter for them both.
