《Doki Doki Lesbian Club》Chapter 17 - Homework

"Fucking bitch." Lowly growled Natsuki, crossing her arms with a huff. Yuri in the mean time was sitting with both hands on her knees unable to look up at how embarrassed she felt.
"Sorry about that Yuri, don't listen to that old hag. You of all people shouldn't suffer from hearing her stupidity." Said Natsuki rubbing the back of her neck.
"I-Its ok." Said Yuri so quiet Natsuki barely heared it.
"I swear it's not a sex cabin Yuri!" Frantically shouted Natsuki, waving her hands in the air defensively.
"I-I know! I-I j-just don't understand why she'd say that!" Whisper yelled Yuri covering her blood red face with both her hands.
"She just likes to take the piss out of me, I'm pretty sure she didn't mean you any harm. I think?" Said Natsuki, clearly very unsure.
thought Yuri's. Now Yuri's face was at least 4-5 times more red.
"Holy shit Yuri are you alright?! Do you need some water or something?!" Said Natsuki panicking at the state of her crush.
"Y-Yes, some water would be nice..." Said Yuri with a shaky voice, unable to look at Natsuki in that moment. Natsuki went to the fridge and got a bottle of water for Yuri.
'The water should be nice and cold, I hope it helps yuri.' thought Natsuki walking over to Yuri handing her the water bottle.
"T-Thank you Natsuki." Quietly stuttered Yuri getting the water bottle and looking at Natsuki, before going wide eyed and looking away. She took a few sips before feeling a dip in the sofa next to her, she looked to see Natsuki staring at her with evil eyes like some sort of angry cat. Yuri felt very intimidated.
"Yuri...what's wrong?" Said Natsuki not giving up on the evil staring. Yuri started to sweat a little.
"N-Nothing!" Said Yuri trying to not get lost in Natsuki's eyes, she had to look away.
"Yeah suuuure, how convincing." Said Natsuki intensing her glare and rolling her eyes. Even though Yuri couldn't see Natsuki, she could tell Natsuki was burning a hole in the side of her head.
"You know if you were embarrassed by Daisy, I wouldn't worry about it, she does it to everyone. Actually that's how we first met, hehe." Said Natsuki now leaning backwards, no longer staring at Yuri with murderous cat eyes.
"How did you guys meet?" Asked Yuri still looking away form Natsuki.
"I was buying some food in this store and one of Daisy's ex's came and she just humiliated him the whole time while he was beging to go out with her again!" Said Natsuki laughing at the memory. Yuri couldn't help but giggle a little herself.
"What happened next?" Asked Yuri, now facing Natsuki.
"Well from what I remember, the guy was keeping up the line and wouldn't stop begging Daisy to have sex with him. Hmm, I don't remember what he said, but whatever it was pissed me off." Said Natsuki crossing her arms remembering the anger.
"So what did you do?" Asked Yuri.
"Oh! I broke his nose!" Said Natsuki all cheery now that she remembered, tapping her nose joyfully a few time. There was a moment of silence until Yuri burst out laughing, which surprised Natsuki a little.

"What's so funny?!" Said Natsuki begining to feel a little embarrassed.
"S-Sorry! I-It just sounds like something you'd do! Pffff haha!" Said Yuri starting to clench her stomach from laughing a little too hard. Natsuki grew a small blush.
"W-Whats that supposed to mean?!" Asked Natsuki feeling a mixture of emotions.
"I-Its nothing bad! Haha! Your-pfff your just so hard headed." Said Yuri calming down and wiping away a few tears of laughter.
"Hmph!" Said Natsuki puffing her cheeks and looking away while crossing her arms, indicating Yuri was now and forever more getting the silent treatment.
"Sorry Natsuki, it's just I know I could never be that brave." Said Yuri still trying not to laugh at her friends adorableness. Natsuki didn't answer.
"Oh come in Natsuki, I didn't mean anything bad by it, I'm sorry." Said Yuri with her soft voice back. Natsuki couldn't stay mad at that.
"Fine! Whatever. How is me buying my own food hard headed?!" Huffed Natsuki.
"Well, most people would have just waited, but you actually commited assault for your food. For anyone but you, I'm sure it would be strange." Said Yuri smiling softly.
"Someone like me? What the hell does that mean!?" Asked Natsuki begining to feel a little pissed off.
"Well your just so strong Natsuki." Said Yuri a little too straight forward for both of them to handle. Natsuki looked away blushing and scratched the back of her head.
"T-Thanks I guess." Whispered Natsuki.
"Honestly how gay can you guys get?? Just kiss already!" Whisper yelled Daisy from the door which was now slightly open.
"FUCK OFF!!!" Yelled Natsuki practically pouncing off the sofa to attack Daisy. Daisy ran from the battle and got the fuck out of there. Just in time too.
"Some day that bitch is going to get what's coming to her." Growled Natsuki under her breath. She looked back only to see Yuri all red again maning all the progress they had just done means nothing now.
'Great, thanks Daisy for making this whole situation worse.' Natsuki sighed and went to sit back down again, but was interrupted by her phone going off. She picked it up and had the most disappointed face of the centre. Her Dad was calling her and the text messages he had sent were all correct, no spelling mistake, no numbers or symbols, meaning he was sober. The texts only said where are you and come back home now, which didn't spark much hope in Natsuki.
"Yuri, I'm sorry but I have to go home." Said Natsuki shoving her phone in her pocket. Yuri turned to look at her worriedly.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Asked Yuri genuinely concerned, now only memories of Natsuki's bruises playing in her mind.
"Yeah It'll be fine." 'he isn't drinking so it might be possible to come out of this without any violence...' thought Natsuki fooling Yuri with her smile.
"Ok, want me to call my sister and give you a lift?" Asked Yuri pulling out her phone.
"Nah, why don't we just walk instead?" Asked Natsuki with a smirk.

"Why?" Asked Yuri now worried Natsuki was planning something.
"Oh no reason in particular, I just really feel like taking the piss out of your sister. You could say you were walking me home and weren't too far so you didn't want to bother her and walk home." Smiled Natsuki winking at Yuri while putting one finger on her lips making the hush sign, enphasising how super secret it was.
"T-That s-sounds l-like fun." Admitted Yuri.

Yuri and Natsuki got to the end of the line where the road split into two, signalling their time to split up. Both of them sighed.
"Why does it suck so much to go home?" Asked Natsuki.
"I think it's got less to do with the home itself but more to do with what's waiting for us there." Sighed Yuri.
"You know your like a walking fortune cookie sometimes." Joked Natsuki.
"Ha, Ha. Very funny..." Said Yuri with evil eyes.
"Guess I'll see you later then." Said Natsuki with a small sad smile.
"Yes, I guess so, see you tomorrow Natsuki." Said Yuri begining to calmly walk down her road.
"Yeah, see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!" Said Natsuki waving goodbye to Yuri as she ran down her road, trying not to cry .
When Natsuki had finally managed to get home she couldn't help but hesitate to open the door.
'Yuri was right, it's what's waiting for me that scares me...' thought Natsuki as she opened the door to her house that reeked of alchohl and smoke, with piles of rubbish scattered left and right as far as the eye could see. Natsuki sighed and started to glare at all the mess.
'I swear I cleaned all this fucking mess just a few days ago. Stupid pig in human clothing. Can't believe I'm related to him.' thought Natsuki as she visibly clenched he jaw in anger and disgust.
"Good, you finally made it home." Said a fermiliar voice which was surprisingly clear, no cracks or croak, not even any slurrs.
Natsuki turned her head in fear to where the voice was coming from and was surprised to see her dad, clean, dressed in some kind of suit, a suit case in one hand and fixing his black tie with the other. Despite his life style and habits Natsukis dad was a decent looking guy and fairly fit with enough muscle and strength to put up a fight, which is what really pissed Natsuki off. No one would ever suspect anything from him if wears a suit like this. Natsuki looked her dad up and down in confusion. He did the same to Natsuki.
"What the fuck are you wearing?" Asked Natsukis dad raising and eyebrow at her choice of wardrobe.
"U-Uh y-you see d-dad I-I just- "it's fine, keep it like that for all I care." Bluntly interupted Natsukis dad in a melancholy voice, walking towards her. Natsuki couldn't help by put her arms up to defend her face out of instinct as he walked by. When she opened her squinted eyes as little she saw him frozen for a quick second looking more broken then usual at her reaction. He slightly shook his head.
"At least now you don't look as much like that useless mother of yours." Said Natsukis dad, walking past her to the living room before picking up another suit case that was on the sofa.
"P-Papa...w-where ar you going?" Asked Natsuki, stuttering out of fear.
"I've been hired as a security guard. I'll be gone for a few months but my employer already payed all the bills in advanced. That's all you need to know free loader." Sighed her dad she her walked towards her.
"Clean while I'm gone. You can manage that much can't you?" He said looking down on his malnutritiond daughter. Natsuki gave a small shaky nod.
"Good." Said her dad coldly as he walked out the front door and slammed it behind him. Natsuki made sure to wait until she was sure he was gone before doing her victory dance, whisper screaming with joy and doing every JoJo pose she knew.
Yuri calmly walked to her house and stayed calm all the way up to the door, taking in a deep breath of the cool evening air around her. She was feeling unusually brave.
'I guess Natsuki is rubbing off on me.' thought Yuri as she walked through the door.
But then something hit her, roaming along the house was the faint smell of some alchohl. She walked in her house and quietly began to go towards the stairs. Yuri walked by Kate who was surprisingly passed out on one of the black leather sofas, Yuri froze in pure shock, never in all her life had Yuri seen her sister in such a low state, but no matter how hard she tried Yuri couldn't fell sorry for her. Only wishing Kate didn't spill wine everywhere. Yuri sighed before placing her bags down, cleaning up Kate's mess, leaving some water and pills for her sister on the coffee table and pulling a blanket over Kate.
The rest of the day for Yuri was her getting changed and catching up with all her homework. It only took her 2-3 hours meaning it had only just gone past 9. Almost right on cue when Yuri was fed up of scrolling through Netflix, she got a text form her little pink haired crush.
Responded Yuri almost instantly, which pleased Natsuki too levels over 9000. Yes I did just make that reference. If you know, you know, if you don't your a normie or a meme noob. Pick your poison.
.
Yuri sent Natsuki a picture of the answers.
"Anything for you Natsuki..." Said Yuri in a low whisper before turning off her phone and putting it on bedside table, before she herself turned off and we t to sleep all cozy and tucked into her bed.

Moonblood
Five moons rise over Evanir, each in her own cycle, and each moon is also a god, one of five sisters. Many gods create spirit attendants and companions, brought forth fully-formed. Long ago, the moons worked together to create a lineage that are, instead, humans transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The five sisters had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, different for each, to keep them more in tune with nature so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness. There are drawbacks to their children having human lives and personalities before being chosen: not all share the goals of their divine mothers, and some choose to put their gifts to darker uses. Those carrying the blood of one woman, fleeing the corruption in search of a quiet life, take a different path. -=-=-=-=- Moonblood isn't so much a novel as a series of adventures of varying length. They involve a core group of people, which does grow over time. They take place in a fairly low-magic world, but despite that, our core cast are directly connected to the moons and have various abilities, including limited shapeshifting to a single individual animal form. As with all my work, unless gender, orientation, or other aspects of sexuality are explicitly stated, I suggest not making assumptions. Probably most significant, I think, is a major trans character who appears about 80K words in - no spoilers, just a note for those who care about that one way or the other.
