I'm done trying.

I'm done trying to be perfect.

Can't you see that I'm dying ?

Even when I smile I'm crying.

You know nothing about me,

And all the scars I bury.

I only show what I let you see,

And not the girl with the absent glee.

I know my every imperfections,

All of my cracks and all of my stains.

So please stop giving me corrections,

And all those misleading directions.

Please stop telling me that I can't,

And see for your self that I can.

For this is the poetry that I chant,

And the strength in me that I plant.
