《This Time》|42| IKA-APATNAPU'T DALAWANG KABANATA

Drunk as fuck.
That's the only way I could describe both Amayah and Tristan. The latter kept on dancing around the place, not caring about how people are looking at him weirdly. Amayah, who absolutely baffled me, joined the man in the dancefloor.
Bianca decided not to drink in order to take her boyfriend home, although unlike me, she did drink one glass. Both of us stayed in our seats, watching as our lovers enjoy themselves.
"If anyone asks, I don't know him." The brunette beside me mumbled, making me chuckle. Her rosy cheeks reddening as she witnesses her partner dance like a madman.
"They're cute." I commented, watching the person who owns my heart laugh joyfully, eyes shining in happiness and dancing without a care in the world.
"They are." Bianca sighed, eyes full of love as she stares at Tristan.
Seeing the two of them, I understand why they fell for each other and decided to stay bestfriends even after the divorce. They match each other's energy so well and I could see how comfortable Amayah is around him. It made me wonder if Amayah ever regrets her decision to agree with the divorce or if she ever regrets not fighting more to make their marriage last.
"Aide!" I was pulled out of my thoughts when the beauty called my name, stumbling to come towards where I'm seated. My brows raised when she leaned down, face close to me. I panicked a little, thinking she would kiss me while in the presence of her ex-husband's girlfriend.
"I need to pee." She whispered to my ear and giggled. I smiled at the childlike tone, admittedly enjoying her drunken state. It's adorable.
"Want me to accompany you?" I asked, already standing up. Amayah nodded and so I took her hand and guided her towards the restroom with a few struggles due to the crowd. I waited near the sink as Amayah entered one of the stalls.
I looked down as two other females entered the restroom as soon as Amayah finished. The beauty then began washing her hands, eyeing me with curiosity.
"Aide?" I hummed as a response. "Since you have a dick, do you pee standing up? Because some guys pee while sitting down."
My eyes widened at the question as my cheeks turned deep red when the two women along with us eyed me in surprise.
"I suggest you pee while sitting down, it's better for your health and it's hygienic."

Without a second thought, I pulled the drunk woman outside the restroom all the way back to our table. Blushing still, I sat her down with me. I handed her a glass of water to hopefully sober her up even just a little. I noticed that it's only the two of us, Bianca already dancing with Tristan.
"You're blushing," Amayah giggled, finger poking my cheek. "You're so cute." She cooed and gave me a chaste kiss. "You haven't answered my question."
I groaned internally. "Sitting down." I answered when Amayah showed me her puppy eyes. "You're a cute drunk."
"I'm also a horny drunk." She smirked, trapping her bottom lip between her teeth.
"I see." I swallowed the lump in my throat, avoiding her alluring dark brown eyes.
The shorter woman squinted her eyes at me. "You look uncomfortable."
"I'm not."
"You do," she insisted. "Is it because I said I was horny?"
"You're thinking clearly for a drunk person," I whispered to myself before answering Amayah. "It's not because of that, I'm just being weird."
It is because of that.
"Can we kiss?" Amayah asked out of the blue, lips formed in a pout.
I bit my lip, looking back to the dancefloor where the couple are busy groping each other. I blushed and looked away from the sight. "They might see us."
"Tris won't remember shit, he's been like that ever since. And Bianca already knows about us." She whispered the last part as if telling a secret.
"She does?"
Since when? How come I'm only finding out now?
Amayah nodded. "Yup. So kiss me already, please?"
"Fine, but we're moving." With reddening cheeks, I pulled Amayah towards the exit, seeing not much people around, I settled on leaning her against the wall.
I didn't get to say anything beforehand when Amayah pulled me down by the neck, lips crashing into mine. A moan escaped the beauty as soon as our lips met, her arms finding their way around my shoulders. I placed my hands on either side of her hips, responding with the same passion she’s giving me. Our bodies pressed together heatedly, the rapid pace of our hearts combining as we shared one breath.
Her face so close to mine that I could smell the aroma of the whiskey she had been drinking mixed with her natural scent of lily and vanilla. It was intoxicating, and I found myself longing for it even more. Warmth consumed my being as Amayah’s hands travelled down inside my shirt, her touch wandering all over my abs, sending butterflies to my stomach.

My hips involuntarily thrusted into her as Amayah bit my bottom lip, earning a gasp from the beauty. I took the initiative to slip my tongue inside her mouth, pressing our bodies impossibly closer. Our tongues touched each other, battling back and forth as we breathe each other in. The kiss was heated and burning, far from being gentle as the passion between us deepened.
Delicate fingers wound themselves through my hair, tugging lightly. I moaned at the slight pain from every firm grip. Amayah leaned her head to the side and I took it as an invitation to press my lips on her neck, sucking and licking all over the skin. A swipe of my tongue elicited a moan from the beauty, her manicured fingers scratching my abdomen.
Without my permission, heat rose to my member and a moan escaped my mouth when Amayah’s hand moved down to palm my front over the jeans. I broke out of trance, moving away from the alluring woman as I took a deep breath. I run a hand through my hair, silently cursing myself for allowing lust to consume my mind.
"T-That's enough." I panted, looking away from dark brown eyes filled with pure lust and desire.
"Why?"
"You're drunk." I simply answered and pulled her back inside the bar.
Fuck. She is a horny drunk.
"Oh g-d, my head hurts."
I groaned in pain as I sat up, glancing around, noticing that I'm in my room. Although feeling a massive headache, I managed to enter the bathroom to brush my teeth and change into something comfortable. Settling for a white shirt and shorts.
Taking a sit back down on my bed, I tried to remember what happened.
My brows furrowed as the door opened, revealing Aiden holding a tray of breakfast. She smiled and leaned down to plant a kiss on my forehead, making me blush.
"Good morning. Here, for your headache." I accepted the aspirin and glass of water.
"Thank you." I mumbled, cringing at my hoarse voice. "Did you go home?" I asked, noticing the different outfit.
"Took a quick shower at the dorm, but I slept here to look after you." She raised the tray for me to see. "I made breakfast, by the way," Aiden sat down in front of me with the food. "And brought plenty of water for your hangover."
My eyes scanned the tray, it consisted of waffles, egg and bacon, along with a butter toast bread and a small bowl of chopped apples. A sudden sense of guilt consumed me. Realizing that she's been taking care of me for almost 3 days straight. And we literally just got together officially.
"I'm sorry," I said in a small voice. "For making you take care of me instead of us going on dates already."
Aiden frowned. "There's no need to be sorry, Amayah. I wanted to take care of you. Besides, I don't need to go on dates, being with you is enough for me."
"Still, I shouldn't be getting drunk when we should be celebrating our relationship instead."
"We already did yesterday," She cupped my face in her strong hands. "Stop fretting, I wanted to do it for you." I couldn't help but smile at the way she used the same line I said yesterday.
My heart full, I leaned up to press our lips in a sweet kiss. An involuntary whine left my lips when Aiden suddenly pulled away, eyes wide and cheeks blushing. A frown settled on my forehead at her reaction.
"Why are you–" Before I could finish my own question, an overwhelming sense of memory went through me. The bathroom scene, the one from the chair and the make out session at the back of the bar. A blush spread to my face and I was glad it doesn't show. "Oh."
Did I make her feel uncomfortable?
Aiden chuckled awkwardly. "Uh... I-I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me today?"
My brows furrowed, realizing what she's doing. "Now? Can we talk about what happened first?"
"That can wait. I kind of want to spend time you now since I'm going home."
"Home?"
The taller woman nodded. "My mom and dad wants to spend time with me for a week, I'll be leaving tomorrow."
Apprehensively, I nodded. Still wanting to have a conversation, especially about why she's reacting like this. "You're coming back after a week?"
"I am, yeah. We can talk then."
I'm guessing she's not ready yet.
"Okay, I'll be waiting."

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
