"Where are you going exactly?" Julius asked, being nosy once again.

I ignored the guy, continuing with packing my stuff for the 2 days vacation with Amayah and her family, along with the new addition that will be introduced. Sighing, I contemplated whether or not should I try to decline the invitation again. Although she clarified that she wanted me there with them, I still feel like I would be intruding.

"You're going to cancel our gym sched and you won't even tell me why?"

"I told you already," I huffed. "I'm going on a vacation."

"That's it? I need the details, come onnn."

"So, uh... why is he here?" I asked once we were alone. Sir Tristan left a few minutes ago, leaving me and Amayah. I found it as an opportunity to talk.

"Why do you ask?"

I frowned at getting thrown back with a question. Pouting, I answered. "Just curious."

She chuckled, eyes shining. "Tris wants our son to meet Bianca, 2 days vacation on a beach."

The anxiety I've been feeling subsided by the indirect reassurance, finally getting relieved. I smiled in understanding, tapping my foot on the floor.

I'm being paranoid for no reason.

"I see, and it's okay with you?" I asked as she may feel pressured to let them meet, but actually doesn't want to yet.

Amayah nodded, answering my question. "Send me pictures of you and Aaron then?" I settled with asking for both, as it may seem creepy to ask just for her photo. Although I would love one saved in my gallery. Something I can look at whenever I don't feel particularly good about myself.

The older woman bit her lip in thought, looking at me with an expression I couldn't quite decipher. "Actually, about that... Would you like to come with us?"

My eyes widened in bafflement at the absurd offer.

Me? She wants me to come with them? On a 2-day vacation with her soon-to-be ex husband along with the new girlfriend? Me? The person currently courting her? Her student slash suitor?

I shook my head. "I can't, Amayah. I'm sorry."

The beauty frowned. "Why not?"

"I... wouldn't it be awkward with me there?"

"Oh nonsense. It'll be fun, just say you're babysitting Aaron or something, I'm sure he would love it. I would love it if you come."

"You would?"

Smiling, she nodded. I mean, it wouldn't hurt to come with them right? It's only for two days and I get to spend it with Amayah and Aaron. Besides, if Amayah doesn't see any problem with it, why should I?

"O-Okay, I'll come if it'll make you happy."

"It will." Amayah tiptoed up to reach my face, planting a soft kiss on my cheek before leaving the kitchen with a grin.

"You don't need to know." I huffed.

Julius rolled his eyes. "Alright, fine. But didn't you just got accepted at the coffee shop 4 days ago? It hasn't been even a week and you're already taking a day off."

"The owner is nice actually, she let me take the Saturday off."

He eyed me suspiciously. "You know, it's too big of a coincidence that Professor Peterson also took a leave of absence."

I shrugged, trying to be nonchalant. My patience already thinning. "Maybe she has things to do, something that doesn't involve me."

"I think you're going with her." He insisted. "Are you?"

"I think it's time for you to stop bothering me."

"I mean, I'm probably right. You're her son's babysitter and you kind of have a crush–"

I glared at him, cutting his words off. "Shut up and mind your own business."

Julius raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, you don't need to get mad. Sorry."

I blew out a breath. "I don't appreciate you pushing me. Don't do that again or I'll really be mad."

"I'm sorry, Aide."

"Sorry, too. Now go entertain yourself somewhere else." I shooed him away. Julius saluted before sprinting towards his girlfriend.

Once everything is settled, I bid goodbye to my friends and went straight to Amayah's house. When I arrived, the older woman is already putting their things inside the trunk. I rushed in to help, dropping my bag and helping.

"You look beautiful." The dark haired woman wore a white knee-length summer dress, hugging her curves perfectly and showing off her legs.

"Oh, hi." Amayah smiled up at me. "You look beautiful, too."

"Hi." I gave a little wave, blushing from the compliment. "Is there anything that needs to be carried?"

She shook her head. "No, everything's here already."

I nodded. "I'll be driving, right?" I questioned as we have talked about who will drive yesterday, although it's more like me insisting that I should be the one driving for them. It's 3 hours long, I wouldn't want to tire Amayah out.

"Do I even have a choice?" She asked back playfully. Grinning, I shook my head. "Let's go? Aaron's already at the backseat."

I jogged up to open the passenger side, Amayah mumbling a 'thanks' before I went to the driver's seat.

"Hi, Aide!" The kid waved, grinning big. "Are you excited?"

I chuckled. "I am, yeah. You?"

"Extremely. It's been so long since I went to the beach." Aaron rumbled as Amayah and I listened all throughout the ride. The woman beside me smiling as she engaged in a conversation with her son, enjoying how Aaron seem so excited.

Amayah frowned, trying to take hers and Aaron's bag, the latter already running around the beach without a care to the world.

"I can carry mine."

"It's heavy," I dodged her grabbing hands. When the older woman's frown turned into a glare, I decided to stop playing and compromise. "Alright, carry Aaron's bag, it's lighter than yours."

"Fine." She rolled her eyes, accepting the bag I gave and calling Aaron who sprinted towards us.

Smiling in victory, I followed the mother and son as we walked towards a beach house owned by Sir Tristan's girlfriend. Stopping at the entrance, we waited as the door opened, revealing a brunette woman, slightly taller than Amayah and looks somewhat around her late twenties as well.

"Amayah, right? I'm Bianca." The woman smiled charmingly, eyes darting to me and Aaron before opening the door wide. "Come in, Tristan's inside."

Amayah hummed. "Nice to meet you. Say hi, baby." The woman also eyed me, signaling me to greet as well.

Aaron waved shyly. "It's nice to meet you, Miss Bianca."

I gave a slight smile. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss. I'm Aiden, Aaron's babysitter."

"Tristan told me about you, and please, just call me Bianca." Bianca smiled warmly. "Hi, sweetheart." She then focused her attention on Aaron.

Amayah and I walked side by side as we entered the house, Aaron already engaging in a conversation with Miss Bianca. Sir Tristan then appeared, wearing an apron. He went to peck Amayah on the cheek and his son a hug.

"Hey," Sir Tristan patted my shoulder. "How was the drive?"

"Fine, Si– Tristan. Aaron talked the entire ride, he's excited."

He chuckled. "Got it from me, I am rather talkative."

Amayah butted in before I could reply. "Why don't you get Bianca and Aaron acquainted now?"

"Good idea," Sir Tristan nodded. "I'll show you to your rooms first."

Sir Tristan guided us to the second floor, Amayah's room next to mine. Placing my things on the ground, I looked around the place before going to the window to see the view of the beach. I heard voices from the outside, probably Amayah speaking with the couple.

I decided to change into a loose gray tank top and beach shorts, in case we're ready to hit the beach. After a few minutes of waiting, I heard a knock. Opening the door, Amayah stood with a smile on the other side. Now wearing a straw hat to protect herself from the heat.

"They're already outside waiting, let's go?"

Amayah offered her hand, I knew it didn't mean for me to take it, but without any hesitation, I took her hand in mine. Dark brown eyes widened before the surprise left as soon as I squeezed her hand, and a smile then appeared on her red-painted lips.

Biting my bottom lip to stop myself from smiling wide, I intertwined our fingers as we walked hand in hand down the stairs, hiding our connected hands behind our backs. I felt her warmth until we reached the front door, and although she let go, the lingering feeling of spark stayed rushing into my veins.

I smiled sheepishly as soon as we went out, Amayah with a smile of her own. The thumping of my heart reaching my ears as I watch the woman who owns my heart go up to her son. And at that moment, I thought...

I'm willing to sacrifice anything to be able to hold her hand.
