Later that day Techno decided to teach Angela how to ride a horse, and so they all headed back into the forest, giving her the rains once they were out of sight.

"I-i'm really scared i'm gonna fall" she stuttered out, holding the reins in her shaky hands "Don't worry, i'll catch you in that case" he assured, holding her waist, which caused her to blush a bit "You just have to give it a gentle whip and Carl will do the rest, ok?" she nodded, weakly whipping the rains, which made Carl start to walk forwards at a slow pace.

"Good, now try to stir to the right" she pulled the rains a bit, managing to turn "I-it's not that hard" she was getting a bit more confident and decided to up the pace a bit, going a little faster.

"You're doing great Angela" he encouraged, seeing that she was having fun "This is amazing! Oh!" she pulled hard, stopping Carl just before they stepped into the same small river they passed a few weeks ago. It felt like it has been years but it was really less than a month. She smiled, deciding that perhaps this could be the perfect chance to pay him back for his little stunt.

"Hold on tight, we are gonna go fast!" she warned before whipping the rains hard and causing Carl to sprint into the forest.

"AAAHHHHH!"

Angela laughed when the king screamed, desperately holding onto her so not to fall off as they zoomed at fast speed through the trees. It felt incredible, the wind hitting her skin, the world around her seeming to move at a slower pace, her heart racing like it hasn't done in a long time... it.... it almost felt like.... like....

"Angela please slow down!" he called snapping her out of her thoughts, out of reflexes she pulled the rains hard, causing the horse to come to a sudden halt, making them both fall down and into the flower field they had entered into. They were pretty close to the Soot kingdom, just half an hour away, so this field was just in between the two kingdoms, and it was filled with many colorful wild flowers, many of which were the ones Angela liked.

The two soon sat up, staring at each other for a second before bursting out laughing, both for the same reason. Angela had many twigs and leaves stuck in her hair, which made the king laugh, while Techno had several flowers of Veronica Persica in his hair, which were all messy and loose now.

"Was that a revenge for when i did it to you?" he asked once they stopped laughing "My apologies, i just couldn't resist" she admitted, smiling a bit. The king looked around, noticing that neither Philza or Sam were no were in sight.

"I think we lost our guards" he pointed out "We should go back before they start to worry" she grabbed his sleeve just as he was about to stand "You can't just go back with your hair like that, here, let me fix them"

She moved to sit in front of him, starting to pluck out the blue flowers one by one, gently brushing his hair back in place, she was struggling quite a bit, seeing that the king was still taller than her, even when he was seated, and Techno noticed.

"You have some too, here" he pulled her into his lap so she could reach his hair easier and he could do the same with hers, causing a bright blush to appear on her cheeks.

"Something's wrong?" he asked with a smirk, seeing her blush "N-nothing at all your majesty!" she quickly replied, resuming what she was doing, plucking off some leaves from the end of his long hair, slowly making her way up and towards his face.

Techno did the same, plucking out the twigs from her hair. He liked staying like this, it felt nice, perhaps they should come back here more often.

"Uhm... y-your majesty?" she called once she finished cleaning the lower part of his hair "C-could you please bend down a bit?" she couldn't see very well if he still had some ontop of his head. The king chuckled.

"Only if you use my name" he teased, making her blush harder, she didn't know why, but saying his name felt somewhat special, it made her feel special.

"T... Techno, c-could you p-please bend down a bit?" she repeated, making the king smile "Of course" he leaned down, his face now closer to her's. She tried to ignore it and kept plucking the flowers from his hair.

"Your eyes are beautiful, they are as blue as these flowers you've told me about" he said out of the blue (ahhh get it? Blue? Cuz the flowers are-i'm just gonna shut up now), causing her to jump in surprise "T-thank you yo-T-Techno" she quickly corrected herself.

"Y-your eyes are beautiful too" she mumbled, her movements slowing down a bit "Is that so? What do you like about them?" he asked, his hand gently brushing the remaining leaves off her hair.

"I-i... uhm... t-they remind me of the s-sky..." she shyly started, the king listening close to her words "W-when i look i-into your eyes i-i feel like i'm really up there... i feel like i can still fly, even though that won't ever happen... but i still-" she flinched a bit when he moved his hand down her neck, causing their eyes to meet.

"S-still...." he slowly closed the distance between them "Love them" he finished, connecting their lips into a gentle kiss, she closed her eyes, melting into it and kissing back, her hands sliding to take a hold of his scalp, but it was a gentle hold, so it didn't hurt the king.

He pulled her closed, savoring the sweetness of her lips, their softness, their warmth, he loved every bit of her, none excluded. She shivered when Techno placed his other hand behind her back, breaking the kiss for a moment.

"D-don't... please" she whispered, opening her eyes a bit "What? Does it hurt?" he asked "N-no it's... it's just really s-sensitive" she breathed out, inhaling sharply when his hand passed over her healed injury, gently caressing it.

"I'll find that bastard and make him pay for what he did to you" he went closer, whispering over her lips "I promise i'll always protect you"

"Ah-ehm!" they both jumped, turning to see Phil stand at the beginning of the field with Sam, both of which looked very embarrassed.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you but we better start to head back before it gets dark" Phil explained, quickly leaving as soon as he said that, returning into the forest, Sam following close behind.

Techno turned to look back at Angela, seeing that she was hiding her face in her hands, feeling ashamed to be caught in such a peculiar position, with the king nonetheless! Techno chuckled lightly "That was my fault, i should have checked for us to be alone" he gave her a small kiss on the forehead before standing up and starting to head back towards were Phil and Sam went, an embarrassed Angela following close behind.

"Y-your majesty?" she called after a few minutes, catching his attention "Y... you should wear blue m-more often... i-i think it suits you a-and makes your e-eyes stand out" she mumbled, quickly running ahead of him to catch up to Phil. Techno smiled, picking a blue flower that had remained stuck in his hair and looking at it.

"Perhaps i should start to wear more blue then"
