meilani wakes up to knocking on her door. she groans and gets out of bed. she doesn't even bother to put on pants. she walks sluggishly to her door to see sarah cameron. "sarah" she says suddenly getting a burst of energy. "hey mei. you haven't seen rafe have you?" sarah asks looking slightly worried. "i haven't, has something happened?" meilani responds walking over to the couch with sarah. "he hasn't been home since we saw him on the dock yesterday...you didn't end things with him did you?". meilani stops for a moment. "no, i just told him that no one knew about us hooking up other than you so it wasn't a good idea for him to be talking to me with the pogues around" she explains. sarah's face flushes. "you told john b didn't you" meilani sighs. "he wouldn't stop asking! and he knows when i'm lying to him!" sarah rushes. "it's okay sarah, as long as john didn't tell anyone it's okay.

at tannyhill, meilani walks up to the front door. wheezie answers, looking as sceptical as ever. "is rafe home yet?" "he's upstairs" wheezie stands out of her way and meilani rushes up the stairs to the boys room. she doesn't even knock, she just walks right in to find him on his bed. "lani?" rafe looks up. "hey, you came home" she smiles. "i had to, sarah was on my back." "just promise me you weren't off taking drugs somewhere" she sighs. "i told you before meilani, i'm clean now, i'm over all the drugs and alcohol." the boy said sincerely, meilani knew he meant it.
after a talk between the two, meilani apologises. "i know we're not a couple lani, i didn't mean to get upset yesterday and i respect that the pogues don't know, after all we have a bad history" "look rafe i'm always going to be your friend no matter what, but for right now i think we should just stop hooking up". the boy looked disappointed as he thought finally he'd won haywood over but he understood. "i'll see you around" were the last words the girl spoke before leaving tannyhill.

"you're macking on rafe cameron?!" were jj's first words to meilani haywood when she turned up to john b's house. "sarah!! you told me john b wouldn't tell!". sarah threw her arms up in defence. "i'm not anymore, i told him that we're better as friends today. i knew it wasn't fair on the group after everything that happened last summer." "oh like the time him and his boys beat pope up? oh and what about the time they started on me at midsummers, and the time at the open movi-" "enough jj!" kiara shouted. tears were now trickling down meilanis face. she didn't realise what effect her innocent hook up with rafe would do. "it's not a big deal jj, that was last summer. some of us hold grudges but not the rest of us. rafe is different now and we all know that even if some of us don't want to admit it" pope explained. "cut the waterworks lani" jj spat. "you know what, i'm gonna go. you can come find me when you stop being a tool." and with that meilani stormed off in the direction of the town. "great job jj."

meilani sat on the dock looking up at the stars. she had become really intoxicated since the incident between her and jj earlier in the day. footsteps began to approach her. she turned her head to look over her shoulder and saw pope coming towards her. "there you are" he breathed. "here i am" she slurred her words. "we've been looking all evening, your dad is worried sick" "well i-i'm fine."
pope sat next to her and watched the girl light a blunt. she took a pull and blew the smoke away from popes face. "you're gonna come back with me now, okay?" he said sternly. "hang on i never agreed to that." pope sighed. "cmon mei, let me take you home, we don't have to see anyone. i'll tell the group what happened after i take you home." after a few minutes of thinking, meilani finally agreed and he took her home.

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)

Champions of the Boundary
In reality, there exists a realm between reality and fantasy, where all maner of magical creatures exist, and the warriors summoned as they died in reality fight against the forces of a powerful being known only as the Shadow of Life. Here, they live in a world with experience and Levels, Classes and Skills, and they fight against monsters, training for years just to achieve a Level that can allow them to make a small difference. Yet even with this training, it is not enough. The Crystal Adventurers are forced to retreat further and further every year as the Shadow of Life's monsters grow stronger and more numerous, destroying cities at an increasing rate. If the city of Maelnor falls, then it will be less than a year before nearly all of the Crystal Adventurers are wiped out, both those brought to the realm upon death, and those born and raised there. Legends tell of a prophecy that describes a team led by the legendary child of the prophecy, a child whose destiny is not to end the Shadow of Life, but to act as a harbinger, one whose very existence will turn the tides of war, one who must meet three seemingly impossible or currently unheard of criteria before the tides truly change. This is the tale of Team Noruva, which consists of a quiet, yet wise healer, a silent, but thoughtful rogue, a knight with an iron will, a wolf beastborn who gained access to the System, and their leader, who ignores the impossible and does whatever he wants, because why the hell not? This is the tale of their adventures and daily lives, their ups and downs, their struggles, successes, and losses. **REGARDING PoV'S*** There will be 5 total PoV's in this story. However, four of them will take several dozen chapters (beginning Chapter 73) to start happening, with the first two "Books" focusing just on Zack, which is why there's the Multiple PoV's tag on here, even though only one's around at first.
