We stand just outside the restaurant, about to walk toward the beach when Jungkook gasps. "Shoot, I think I left my wallet inside. I'll be right back."
I nod, "Okay. I'll wait right here."
He nods and quickly rushes back into the restaurant. I turn my gaze away from him and look toward the beach, smiling to myself.
He's so freaking cute with his little tuxedo. And that bow tie. And that million dollar smile.
I begin looking at some other stores next to the restaurant, careful not to leave the restaurant area. Dark, narrow alleyways cut between each shop.
I look around, surprised to see no one else around. Huh, that's weird—
I bump into someone, startling myself. "I'm so sorry." I try to get a glimpse of the person. It's a man.
And he smells a lot like alcohol.
He looks up, stumbling around me, "Nah you're good—" He pauses.
My breath hitches in my throat. It's him.
An eerie smile starts spreading on his face as he starts to realize who I am. "Long time no see, Park Haru."
I find myself backing away. "Daehyun, don't even think about getting one step closer to me."
He laughs, a sound that gives me goosebumps. "What, you don't want to talk to your ex-boyfriend? The guy you have feelings for?"
"Had feelings for. There's a reason I left you, Daehyun, and I'm never gonna make the mistake of going back to you again."
He grins, "Still dramatic, huh?" He walks towards me, words slurring.
I back up until my back hits the wall of the restaurant, glancing to the side. Jungkook, where are you?
"Daehyun," I say, putting a foot back into the alley, "Stop it."
"Stop what, babe?"
I grit my teeth, trying to keep myself from throwing a wave of curse words at him.
His gaze lowers, locking itself onto my side. "I never thought you'd be the kind of girl to get a tattoo."
Haru, run.
I find myself frozen in fear, not able to move.
RUN.
I feel anxiety crash into me like a wave.
HARU, GO.
Before I can say or do anything, he closes in on me, pressing me against the wall of the alley.
Tears slip down my face as he buries his face in my neck.
...please don't hate me

The Fabled Islands
Somewhere out there, in the great expanse of space and time, exist the Fabled Islands. Nobody knows how or why they exist, but only that it is a strange and special place that operates under laws separate from the universe. The Fabled Islands are made up of vast floating continents. They vary in size, with some ranging from the surface area of a small planet, to a star. If you look at them from afar, you would find that they are placed in a line. Each island is separated by a vast amount of space, so there is only one way to travel from one island to the next; a gateway on the edge of the island. Each island is governed by strange rules. The only thing they share in common, is that the rules are governed by the System. The rules change vastly from one island to the next, so you must quickly adapt. Tristan was raised on the first island, Fertility Island, and has finally been allowed to become a Brave; a respected profession throughout the islands. Fertility Island is a peaceful island. There are hardly any monsters, the land is fertile, and the people kind. This is the complete opposite of what Tristan wants. Bring on the monsters! Bring on the magical items! I want adventure, loot, and to put my life on the line! Where are the dungeons, caverns, and mountains to be explored? Where is the mythical equipment to be found? The next island? Then the next island I will go! His adventure begins now.
8 135Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

8 180Modern OP game system... With a glitch! (DROPPED)
I just kinda had a wish and then it was granted, well guess what! I'm gonna become a powerful unknown force in the world. I also have a system and got a glitch and was able to add as many points as I wanted whenever I wanted. (it's simple because I don't want to do math when writing when my mood swings a lot and keeping record of skills and and other stuff. Also I'll add other tags in the middle of chapters.)
