Red lights. Ambulances. Panic. Heart monitors. Tears. Pain.
And horror. Complete and utter horror.
I try to call out his name, but nothing happens. I try to reach out and take his hand in mine, but I can't move. I'm paralyzed.
Doctors rush around him in a blur, attaching every possible machine to him, puncturing his skin with needles; he just lies there.
He doesn't move. Doesn't speak. Doesn't blink.
Doesn't breathe.
His once-starry eyes are now glazed over as he stares into the abyss. His once-plush pink lips are now dry and cracked, droplets of blood coating them.
The sound of the heart monitor rings in the air.
Beep........beep.....beep...beep..beep..beep beep beep beep.
It beeps faster and faster, until it doesn't; all that's left is one, long, slow, dreadful ring.
Signifying the end of another soul.
His chest doesn't rise and fall like it used to. His eyes don't sparkle like they used to. He lips don't curve into a smile like they used to. His hands don't create masterpieces like they used to.
I won't ever have his presence around me ever again—he's gone. Forever.
Finally, I manage to call out his name.
"JUNGKOOK!"
